I think social media plays a big factor in the perception of these 2. Asian Doll was mocked, dissed, trolled etc for simply grieving, and also for carrying on Von’s legacy. Dating around is definitely important, but also date with intention. I mean, both are living their life. I do see a pattern of Lori dating around her birthday and then it’s over within a year until we see someone new next year. I understand dating around, but it’s also important to just embrace single life. You don’t always have to attach yourself to a man. AD is dating typical rappers & “thugs”, whereas Lori is dating established career men who carry a different reputation. AD is viewed under the lens of hip hop & dates hip hop men, which colors people’s perception of her moving from rapper to rapper. Lori, on the other hand, manages to slip by because what’s she’s doing is perceived as “soft”.

I think social media plays a big factor in the perception of these 2. Asian Doll was mocked, dissed, trolled etc for simply grieving, and also for carrying on Von’s legacy. Then she tried to move on and immediately she’s a whøre in the public’s eye, they been doing that since the FIRST man she popped out with since Von. Sites like the shade room will post her 24/7 and it won’t be anything positive, she was dropping music all 2022 and only made the shade room once for it, and that was only to clown her about the production of the video. Every other post is about a tweet she made or a man she might be interested in or literally any sort of drama that can paint her out to be the devil. I’m not saying she’s perfect or anything but it seems like a never ending cycle. She lets the media get to her head. She quick to react to everything instead of shutting up and getting the bag which also plays a big role in her perception. If people know they can get a rise out of her and push her to the point of responding they’ll keep doing it, so it’s on her to stop giving people reasons to be against her because it CLEARLY has been detrimental to her career and overall happiness

I think their professions and aesthetic plays a role as well in peoples perception of them which has impacted their dating lives. (Not sure her profession other then socialite or influencer) but Lori makeup , hairstyles , outfit choices read model , clean girl kinda classic which tends to come off more soft and universal so her dating pool may be wider (if I was thinking of a dark skin version , since colorism was brought up similar to a Ryan destiny which her dating life is completely different but aesthetic wise similar to Lori so I wonder if she started dating the way Lori did if people would say something different about her or even wonder if she has less options because of her skin) even her body like she got surgery but it looks very natural. Asian doll looks like a doll , her style is very bold and sexy but in your face sexy on top of that she’s rapper and most female rappers over sexualize themselves since it’s part of the culture to come off as a man eater , co sign hookup culture which to people when outside looking in looks like the person is a hoe so the man she may be attracting just based off that may lead to less good options and she comes off more hard to me because of those things not her skin but yeah that all which impacts our perception from the outside. a light skin version for her is Nicki Minaj who to me comes off very hard as well. Now if she doing what Asian is doing in terms of always sharing about a new guy I think people would gather the same perception for her as well.

Dating around is definitely important, but also date with intention. I mean, both are living their life. I do see a pattern of Lori dating around her birthday and then it’s over within a year until we see someone new next year. I understand dating around, but it’s also important to just embrace single life. You don’t always have to attach yourself to a man.

Asian doll is beautiful to me, but I do think it's pretty privileged. The choice of men and popularity is the reason Lori gets away with most of it as well.
I feel like Asian Doll and Lori Harvey carry their selves wayyyy different! Asian doll is very problematic and is not a likeable person but Lori Harvey is unproblematic and is never in drama so I feel like that plays a big part as wel! Also a lot of people don’t like Asian doll because of the type of person she is or the the things she says because when do we ever see Asian doll on theshaderoom for something positive? When you’re not a likeable person on the internet then obviously people won’t support the things you do
I understand the colorism aspect to it…but I think that one of the key differences is in the perceived “quality” and reputation of men these two women are dating. AD is dating typical rappers & “thugs”, whereas Lori is dating established career men who carry a different reputation. AD is viewed under the lens of hip hop & dates hip hop men, which colors people’s perception of her moving from rapper to rapper. Lori, on the other hand, manages to slip by because what’s she’s doing is perceived as “soft”.
