My ragdoll meowed once, unlike the American shorthair that I have now, who is extremely vocal.

if the siamese cat is part siamese then it will be fine usually, around children . BUT IF ITS A PURE BRED THEN ITS NOT THE BEST TYPE OF CAT FOR AROUND CHILDREN..THEY CAN BE VERY FOCUSED ON ONE PERSON AND THEY CAN BE VERY RUDE , OBNOXIOUS AND SCRATCHY ! However, I have had several part siamese over the years -and have a part flame point right now - and they are usually very very affectionate with children as well as the adult...depends on the owner and how the cat is raised , of coarse. Best to get the cat very young so you can raise it especially if you have children because you do not want an ornery cat around kids..the kids won't enjoy it and it won't be happy with the kids around. If you get it from kitten age then it gets used to the nice children.

I have two purebred Siamese. They’re full brothers and littermates. It’s all in the raising. My guys are loveable, sociable and accepting. You’re right about them being focused on one person and they’re very loyal, but they’re not ornery, or scratchy when it comes to other people or my grandkids.
