Did you ever find it? This is the problem I have. How do I know what to replace? Mine is making a grinding noise when the water starts spraying / arms move.
@@fjccommish I’d start looking at the circulation pump then. Mine makes a very loud, grinding/humming noise and I have confirmed through the diagnostic tests that it is the circulation pump.
This doesn't cover all models of LG, but that should be obvious. The casing and pump come as one part. I might post a video once I get the right part in stock.
Mine has been leaking, made my motor whine during the wash cycle. got new motor but having trouble finding seal. The part number is 4036dd4002a but its been discontinued, trying to find its replacement.
4036dd4002c is the new part number for that seal. I was thinking of cleaning it and applying grease but it's 6 years old I don't want to risk water getting into my new pump motor. Hopefully I'll recieve it soon.
I would like to know how to get this dishwaster into test mode. I tried holding down power+steam+rinse but that didn't seem to work. I'm getting an LE motor error code, but the motors all seem to run.
Hold down the START button then press POWER and hold. It will then be in test mode (all LED’s lit) and each subsequent press of the START button advances to the next test. You need to keep the door closed for the majority of the tests.
@@danodiumdanodium4579 How do you access the start button to move to the next test on the model that has the control panel covered by the counter top when the door is closed? Also, my model doesn't seem to have a separate motor. It is called LG ABT72989205 Casing Assembly, Pump. It seems to be motor & pump together. Do I need to disconnect the interior parts to replace that part?
Why doesn't anyone video the actual noise? If there is a video out there with actual noises, can someone put the link here? Thanks

@@danodiumdanodium4579 I replaced it, but that didn't solve the problem. I put the old pump back in - no more rumbling sound.
What noise does it make when this is bad? How to tell if that's the problem? Mine makes a grinding sound when the water starts to spray / arms turn.
That’s the noise👍
@@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel I've seen videos of "grinding" - only a few have a sound - usually humming rather than grinding.
What's the sound?
I don't see the heater

What about also replacing the rubber seal for that motor? I don't see the seal on the exploded parts diagram.

You could try some silicone grease on the seal. Also I found that the sump seal is fairly easy to remove, scrub, and reinstall.
