I really appreciate all you do to educate and support us all. You help make this journey less frightening and have improved mine and many others quality of life.
Question: does elevated heart rate link nearly always directly to an increased rate of breathing? My smart watch vibrates warning me if my heart rate approaches my maximum level and this seems to coincide just with standing up. Once I'm up and gathered myself together it does drop closer to the percentages you are recommending and I'm able to do some daily living activities. So if I've understood you correctly taking more purposeful breaths prior to getting up out the chair would help keep my heart rate lower???

Yes, it is a very frightening journey. Sometimes I start panicking and have to talk to myself to calm down. ❤️🌹

Can you apply low heart rate /zone 2 training concept……low intensity long duration high frequency ( do it often) ….to training with COPD?
