She was brilliant. They get paid to make us laugh but when you laugh so hard you cry AND pee your pants they have really made their money. One of best shows ever!
02:30-02:50 Deborah mimicking Frank and Marie: Frank : if it’s 3 inches, it’s a pot. Everybody knows that Marie. Marie : If you can’t boil an egg in it, it’s not a pot, you jackass! 😆
That’s Frank’s mistake, arguing with Marie about cooking. In case Marie didn’t make it known constantly during the series, she knows everything about cooking lol
Not only funny but funny from the first till the last episode. Some other sitcoms were getting worse and worse that I only watch the first few seasons. I enjoy every season from ELR.
@@bowlchamps37 exactly! Raymond only got better and funnier as it went on like King of Queens, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Barney Miller and Patty's other great show The Middle.
@Isabel Beckerman I read it or heard it somewhere that Debra dropping the turkey was a blooper but because she and Ray stayed in character and Patricia basically ad-libbed (throwing the turkey in the oven) and Ray being a comedian and coming up with that line, they kept the blooper in the show. But you can see when Patricia picked up the turkey the third time she almost wiped out. When I found out this scene is a blooper it makes it even funnier, but I'm always curious as to what the original script called for

I really liked the one when Debra gets a splinter stuck in her hand and Ray wants to take it out. And the one when Debra and Ray fight over who takes the suitcase upstairs. And the one where the elderly lady hits Ray with her purse at the ATM machine. Okay, I'll stop. 😄
Ray and Debra ARE my parents in this scene. The deadpan reaction from Ray is the spitting image of my Dad. They were married 40 years 6 months before his accident last year. Miss him every day!
The funniest part about this scene is how Debra acts like she's not interested in hearing what Ray has to say about her parents, until he brings up the marriage counseling. Then Debra's eyes get bigger. :P
I remember there was a commercial for either Genuardi's or Acme that actually featured Patricia Heaton (Debra) struggling with a turkey for the holidays(mostly thanksgiving or Christmas) Aired around 2003-2006.

One thing about this show that found very authentic, was the set design. This is exactly what a long island suburban home with 3 young kids would looks like. They buy in bulk a lot so some items are just always left out on the counter, speaking of which a huge counter and ver little surface space (holiday or not) 😂 And the toys, always toys littered in every room. Not for nothing, there’s too many toys for that household 😂🤣
Frank’s mistake there is arguing with Marie about cooking. Marie knows all about cooking, cleaning and parenting in case she didn’t constantly act like it the entire series.
I understand Debra was upset with what going on with her parents but ray is right when he said no married couple is perfect. We all are humans, flawed and make mistakes. I know frank and Marie are not perfect but they lasted 46-47 years and that’s a blessing
@@vodkatonyqNo, but then again, Debra can’t keep her month shut about Rays family while always acting like her family is perfect. I agree this show can be really toxic at times. It really shows how negative people can be in their own ways and will never own up to it.
