Should you pursue long term or short term targets ? For example, I’m playing as Transcaucasia in Overkill 4x and while I had built a strong air force with 2 fighter wings, each have 3 strike fighter and 2 air superiority fighters, with the strike fighter being level 3 while air superiority being level 1, I don’t have enough ground forces to defend myself from a surprise invasion and to hold newly conquered territories and I also have a huge 9 hours not being able to know what’s going on due to school as well. My supplies and electronics productions are quite low for now (as of day 18) and I’m very concerned with that. Should I conquer more city-provinces that produce supplies and electronics and produce more ground units such as mobile anti-air vehicle, mobile SAM launcher, armored fighting vehicle, motorized or mechanized infantry if possible. Annex newly conquered city-provinces, build arms industry and increase their morale or should I stop and reinforcing my homeland and already conquered territories. For more context, I have conquered like 5 city-provinces from insurgents and Kazakhstan with only the supplies one being annexed. India is close to me and he has level 3 helicopter gunships (we are peaceful towards each other but I’m afraid he can turn on me anytime) while I don’t have any MAAVs produced or even research it, my motorized infantry are only level 2 and I only managed to research armored fighting vehicle but not producing it, only 2/5 of them have infantry to hold them, one has an airport that has the other fighter wing. Most of my homeland cities only have 1-2 infantry battalions holding them, except for the capital which has an reconnaissance battalion. Please help me guys, thank you so much !
If I were you I'd make sure any costal cities are protected incase of a surprise invasion. NG are cheap infantry to hold the coasts down. Navy does a better job but are much more expensive. NG work for any city you want protected to buy time until your air force arrive ESPECIALLY air ports which will be a big target ESPECIALLY on the coast. Removing player threats mean much more than a.i. since a.i. don't attack anyway amd declair war based on your popularity or at random (most notorious nation/places they cant even reach logically). They also provide a buffer between you and players. I play real time which is much more slower paced, but the same logic applies. I remove or ally with close neighbors that are active first. Maybe wait a few days before joining an active coalition as most of these die out after a week in real time (3-4 days perhaps in x4) Once you have close allies you are safe to build your economy as you build your military. Annexation is extremely expensive. Personally I only do it somewhere that is hard to get reinforcements to as that pay off to do it for resources take a long time to be reflected. Normally it's a place with lots of water around it since traveling by boat is very dangerous and obvious. Likewise air transports without a convoy of ASF to guard them are even more vulnerable. Hopefully this helps. Edit: using the map it's very helpful to scout places to see if they even have a level 2 or higher naval base/air port to assess the risk of how they will/can respond to your invasion/transports

They also have 15 hp. MI can only be made once a day while NG can be made twice a 3 times a day. Thus, if your city equals x and time equals y, xy for MI is 5.7 while NG is 12.3 per day. For Hp, NI is 15 per day and NG is 45 per day. Keeping score: NG- 45HP & 12.3D while NI- HP-15 & 5.7D each day with the max # of possible motorizations in 1 city. Now let's analyze the most powerful basic stack in the beginning of the game. A ten stack of MI has 30A(attack) and a 10 stack of MI/AR(armored recon) has 32A. VS NG: left with 13/15 hp. MI: OTK either way. Let's note here that even 2 days worth or MI will be an OTK as well while 2 days of NG will tank 3 hours of assaults. This is more than enough time for strikers or MI to come help. Sure they cannot do well attacking, but NG can nearly OTK a 2 stack (.4hp left) MI which is also common for novice players in the beginning to snatch territory without so much investment. Taking this into account I'd reinforce my assertion that NG are a viable cheep option to defend cities. Also, N patrol takes days to form and it could very well be possible to make a 10 stack of NG 40def (hold off 10 stack of MI for 9 hours and allows formation of 2 more NG extending that to 10 hours. strikers have to keep refueling after each attack. A 5 stack is about 30 iirc. NG 10 stack is putting out 40.

The last game, I spent 10 days building armies and economy, defeating people I meet, legitimately, NO GOLD. I take pride in my stats, almost a perfect win streak, my K/D ratio is very, very good...then some scumbag comes in that was getting beat at every turn, on day 10, spams cruise missiles until all my troops are GONE. Took me ten days to build, all that effing time, and some shitbag destroys it with GOLD, MAGICAL POWERS. What a colossal WASTE of time. The stats mean NOTHING now when someone comes in with god mode and destroys everything. No one had missile defense at day ten, yet CON in their GREED, decided to introduce MAGIC to the game...I dont recommend this game unless you either want to pay big bucks just to keep up with the slimes, or you like wasting your time with no real result thats accurate about your stats because someone missile spammed them...DONE with that bullshit.
I understand your frustration. But please realize that you get to play CoN for FREE because of people that spend real money on the game. So in a sense you are entertaining the goldie in return for the free game. My alliance talks a lot about defeating goldies. It can be done! Not by out spending them but by outsmarting them. It doesn't always work, but if you hang in there and gather some allies, you can make it their attempt to buy a victory very expensive! Also suggest considering the maps you select. Goldies like the big maps and special event stuff. Playing with friends or alliance mates also gives you a better chance to fight and beat a goldie together.

Then start watching for a new game to open with none or only a few players and jump in fast and pick your preferred country, if it's taken, go for the backup. Be quick! You might need to wait 5-15 minutes before one opens, but compared to the time you will spend on that game, it is worth it!

I do personnaly find that pincer and tactics like what you do should give advantages, but the way the game is has its own charm I guesss
