Listening to the playful banter, sometimes I forget this is ventriloquism. It truly is like hearing a conversation between two people. I'll never get tired of the twisted humour. I cry laughing until my sides hurt when I see Monkey in a panic and cussing. It must be difficult to keep a dead pan face with such hilarious dialogue. Just goes to show us her incredible talent.

Nina actually has a relationship with Monkey, and she genuinely enjoys him and is entertained by him. We know Monkey just part of her, but, in some real way, Monkey seems to be his own person. Monkey may even be her best friend, cause he understands her like no one else. You could say they're inseparable. It's insane brilliance.
Maybe that's why she is separated. There is a video with her husband at a restaurant and he seems genuinely annoyed with the constant presence of monkey.
