We have marginal permafrost in parts of Lapland. No melting that I've heard of. We have the "skiing holidays" one week off in late winter at one week intervals in different zones in the country. It's the same as always, snow begins its yearly melting the next week. My late father was a teacher and he said the same.
That's cool. It appears Global Warming hadn't come to Finland back then. What about now? Is the permafrost melting? Cheers!
