Im retired of almost 50yrs trucking. I to liked the noise when I was young but the older I got the quieter I liked it it. I drove alot of Detroit engines back then and Cummins also. I do like the silence my friend. Keep between the ditches. Although im not much for cliches. 👍
I like it Stan, especially the way that you want to detail it out. Looking forward to next part of it. Learning a lot. You and Pam have a great weekend. God bless ✝️
Hey Stan🙂 Very cool rig! Nice to see you with a big Pete and that big hat again👍🤠 I think paint wil bee better than wrapping. I dont think the wrap will hold over time around the rivets.
Those door pins are easy just remember to leave on screw in or thebackibg plate will fall down in there and then you got to pull interior panels out to retrieve it. I found out the hard way. Lol
She's looking good Stan , I like your idea of the wrap it would probably hold up better and be cheaper . I think putting your channel name on the side would be a nice touch . Take care and Happy Thanksgiving to you and Pam .
Hello Stan, for a 17 year old truck those are very minor problems. I I changes one of them strikers on an older truck and was shocked, it came right off. See ya next time.👍👌
Awesome truck Stan. I can see why you bought. No DEF. The recent overhaul with unlimited miles and a 1 1/2 years left on it. I love the cross hood ornament. A thought for you to consider. Have a wrap made for the sleeper portion that incorporate’s both the cross and your logo. That would look cool. I always remember the trailer that was painted up in the first Smokey n The Bandit movie. Get on those minor tasks. Then keep the greasy side down and throw those gears.
That's a nice looking truck. Im tall an large an I like plenty of room. I pulled frameless dumps along with everything they made. Never hauled cars. Drove a few R model an U Model macks that I am way too long for. My brother an I an most of our friends were truckers but im only one left so I have no one to talk the business I know an did from age 16. Ive had a chauffeurs license all my life.
Hey Stan, when you get to the install on the pipes, look into the press in baffles. I installed 8" with the baffles with no resonator or muffler. It sounded great! Not to loud and annoying. Like you, years ago I liked loud pipes lol as I have gotten older, I prefer a softer deep sounding truck.
I got my truck wrapped at Thunder Graphics Joplin, Missouri if you are up that way I give them 5 stars great place and cheaper then paint love the new truck 👍
Great info Stan! I love it when someone shares inside knowledge they've acquired thru years of doing/experience. Thank you... PS: Great shirt and comment: "snipped like that steer over there!" Ha ha : )
Good day Stan ,I have been waiting for months to see this video . Well done on your choice of trucks . There is some new snap in your voice an the grin on your face tells it all .👍👍😊✌ See Ya later .
You are as finicky with vehicles as I am, Sasnak. Thanks for todays video. I would love to pick your brain on Peterbilt stuff sometime (for personal reasons).
My 2005 W900L came with a 550/625HP twin turbo and other than changing out the manifold and turbo's, never had an issue and pulled great especially through the Appalachian mountains, was able to squeeze out 6.3 to 6.7 MPG which is great for a Cat, I know some guys had issues with the 6NZ motors but myself, I guess I got lucky and got one that was tuned right, it was turned up to 780HP but had Cat reset it at 625 and was perfect for the mountains.
I can't wait to that truck with 8" pipes. I watch ezrider, he's restoring a 1983 359. If the door handles are loose he has a pretty easy fix without buying new stuff. Happy Thanksgiving Stan.
We have an MBN cat also, it is a 2003. Maybe in 2003 and 2004 they were MBN engines? Anyway, looking forward to seeing the progress on your new ride!!!
Beautiful rig. Not being a driver, I’m curious if they make longer fifth wheel slides so that you can accommodate most any trailer and still not have any weight bearing issues or trailer contact issues?
I’ve always been into any kind of tiny style of living. Weather it be van to a 40’ 5th wheel. I still love the super sleepers. I don’t like the look of most super sleepers. But damn I love the kw and Peter built conversations!
Hey Stan, hope all is treating you well and here is a happy Thanksgiving for you. On another note, I have noticed over the last several years that a lot of truckers are taking the front wind-visor and blocking roughly the third to half of their front windshield by having it low And you would have to have your seat lowered on the inside to see through the visible part. I don’t know why that is done and I think it would impede some of your vision, especially the ones that hug close to the windshield. Can you offer me any ideas as to why that is needed? I really don’t think it’s all that cool and I think for safety, it is wrong to. I would like to get your two thoughts on it.
There are a couple trains of thought on the dropped visor look. For some its done strictly for looks. The deeper the better they think. Some do it for the 'Old School" look. The other reason is to block the sun. As you travel east early in the morning or west in the evening it nice to block that pesky sun. I like to set my seat at the height I prefer and then choose a visor that comes down to just above my eye level therefore blocking the sun. This trucks visor does just that. My only objection is the louvers.
3M makes the material for wraps. They come with a 10 year factory warranty, you can wax & polish it. Most "Black and white" cop cars these days are wrapped not painted.
The wheels are yeller the upholstery's brown/The dashboard's genuine leather/With isinglass curtains you can roll right down in case there's a change in the weather/Two bright side lights winkin and a blinking/Ain't no finer rig I'm a-thinkin/You can keep your rig if you're thinkin that I'd care to swap for that shiney little Peterbilt with the cross on the hood.
Hi Stan great to see you got the truck home, really looking forward to seeing you make it your own and gettin back on the road. I like the blue stripe idea, maybe toss in a red accent stripe in between. Did you guys ever get the roof fixed on the Ford Edge?
Stan, most garages or body shops have a tool that you strike with a hammer to loosen those doorjamb screws. Spray your liquid wrench and stop by your friendly shop DONE
For me it is one of those careers that sound good; freedom of the road, see the country...But having trucker friends and knowing the reality it just isn't for me either. Still respect the folks that do it. Especially with all the idiots on the roads these days...
I'm confused mate ... I understand you can change the motor back to a 6NZ, but are you saying that you can do it for free under warranty? Either way ... really pleased to see you with a track again mate.
Good video as always. Q: would be cheaper or easier to find a good Eaton fuller 18 speed from another truck that wrecked but Transmission is still good? Swap out the 13 for 15 or 18 speed? You may never need all 18 gears, but at least the one time when you do. You have em. Might cost bit more but in long run, prob pay for itself. I’m surprised truck that big didn’t come with 15 or 18 speed as standard . Cus she be heavier then then others. Wouldn’t 18 give better fuel mileage too? And you have no idea what your “may” end up hauling in future. Blue or purple stripe would look good on the old girl
Hey Stan, Check the ride height on the cab & rear end air bags, One of the best channels on U TUBE, Just Perfect, V MAN BTW Do not let that BB R ever come to ur place, believe u me !!!!!!!!
Bring the truck up to current graphics and color. Maybe find a marketing group to sell your space on the hood and sleeper like your racing cars. Just a idea you or your friends should know someone
If you Googled "American trucker" a picture and article of Big Stan would come up...well not really but it should! 😉
It’s going to be nice seeing you following that cross on the road again! Great looking truck, the blue sounds nice though.
Even though I have no desire to be a semi driver, I am incredibly grateful for those who do choose that profession. Thank you, sir.
Beautiful truck. Ex- United Van Lines. I believe that truck is on a video for Van Operators awards.

Nice looking truck. The blue will be awesome.
Hey Stan🙂 Very cool rig! Nice to see you with a big Pete and that big hat again👍🤠 I think paint wil bee better than wrapping. I dont think the wrap will hold over time around the rivets.
Stan- Thank you so much for continuing to educate those of us who come here to learn. Much appreciated.
This guy is a trip!!! Definitely a BIG KID trucker!!! He loves trucking
Those door pins are easy just remember to leave on screw in or thebackibg plate will fall down in there and then you got to pull interior panels out to retrieve it. I found out the hard way. Lol
Thanks for the heads up. Did not know that
the truck looks great. Maybe it won’t cost too much to get like you want. ☕️👍🍀
@David nice vid, How are you doing
Hope we get to know each other with time and patience?
Beautiful new Truck. Thanks for sharing!!!!
She's looking good Stan , I like your idea of the wrap it would probably hold up better and be cheaper . I think putting your channel name on the side would be a nice touch . Take care and Happy Thanksgiving to you and Pam .

You are a wealth of knowledge. I really enjoy your videos.
The inside will be on Thursday. Something to watch Thanksgiving day! :)

Hello Stan, for a 17 year old truck those are very minor problems. I I changes one of them strikers on an older truck and was shocked, it came right off. See ya next time.👍👌

About the pin, 👉👌 maybe you can just put a “rubber” ? 😂😂😂
Happy and safe travels 🙏
The transmission problem could be a shift tower bushing try that first 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽 my transmission had the issue...
Good looking rig. Cant wait for the trucking videos to start up again!

Beautiful ride enjoy it, greetings from Costa Rica, keep on trucking!
I got my truck wrapped at Thunder Graphics Joplin, Missouri if you are up that way I give them 5 stars great place and cheaper then paint love the new truck 👍
That thing is GORGEOUS
Nice truck! It’s beautiful, but I’m so glad that you said you wanted to get rid of the yellow! lol
@Ken How are you doing
Hope we get to know each other with time and patience?

Today on "This Old Truck," with Stan.
I'm gonna take Stan with me back to the 70s when I go. He can help Snowman get that Coors to Atlanta...
East bound and down loaded up and a truckin
Good one Stan! I couldn’t have explained it better! ... 😎
Glad to see you finally found a truck!! A little TLC and I'll get to start looking for ya again on the road!
Glad to see you back in a truck. Looking forward to all the little fixes lol.
Beautiful truck!
Good to hear from you and nice to get a look at the New Truck ( :
Yep, that bridge motor didn't last. As soon as the warranty is up just roll it back to a 6NZ. NICE RIDE 👍
That’s a better looking truck than your old one. It might not BE as good as it sits right now, but it just looks better. Maybe it’s the stripe.
Glad to you you never game up the dream after the wreck. Stay safe. God bless.
Im not even a truck driver, can't drive a car and don't own any car. But somewhat I feel this kinda stuff are cool
That truck is purdy.
You are as finicky with vehicles as I am, Sasnak. Thanks for todays video. I would love to pick your brain on Peterbilt stuff sometime (for personal reasons).
Hey Stan what's up man love the new truck hope you have a good run with it ( and Remember to put your drink in the coaster Before driving )

That’s a nice Rig. Go Vols 😉
Your insight into semi driving is invaluable. 👍
I can't wait to that truck with 8" pipes. I watch ezrider, he's restoring a 1983 359. If the door handles are loose he has a pretty easy fix without buying new stuff. Happy Thanksgiving Stan.
I love the idea of advertising your channel on your truck!
We have an MBN cat also, it is a 2003. Maybe in 2003 and 2004 they were MBN engines? Anyway, looking forward to seeing the progress on your new ride!!!
Beautiful truck! But I’m with ya on the yeller, the blue would look much better.
If you do the wrap maybe like jax and sell advertising space. This way you get money from 2 sources on the truck . Good luck and happy truckin
Beautiful rig.
Not being a driver, I’m curious if they make longer fifth wheel slides so that you can accommodate most any trailer and still not have any weight bearing issues or trailer contact issues?
Yes they do. On heavy haul rigs I've seen 5-6 foot long slides. Most are 2 1/2 feet
@@Sasnak is that an option for your rig or no? Obviously there’s cost involved so I could see that being a deterrent.
Welcome back to trucking and Stan's trucking show.
@Pete Nice vid How are you doing
Hope we get to know each other with time and patience?
Very nice large car there cowboy. Hope to see ya out on the road.
I’ve always been into any kind of tiny style of living. Weather it be van to a 40’ 5th wheel. I still love the super sleepers. I don’t like the look of most super sleepers. But damn I love the kw and Peter built conversations!
I drive an 07 c15 twin turbo and it has the valve actuators deleted turned up to 600 and it runs excellent.
Thats the way my last truck was set up
Looks good. Painted kinda like an allied or united van lines truck though.
It's going to be nice! 👍
We have a 2005 t600 with an mxs cat, 1,900,000 miles with no problems, we got lucky! 😀
No major problems**
Just found your channel awesome stuff beautiful truck
Welcome aboard!
😷 good luck with your new to you truck 👍

My mom drove a semi but I never inherited her love of big rigs. I think I could drive one, but that doesn't mean I *want* to drive one. Lol.

All my life I've been partial to blue, my ride is light satin blue pearl. My 70 SS Camaro show car was blue too lol
Left us all hanging like a monkey in a tree. At the ending of this video.
Very nice truck 👌
maybe you should replace the hood ornament with the crucifix one, just like your old pete, really like looking at it from the cab
hello from Finland, thats really home at tyre's :D

😎👏👏👏 I ❤ orientation of this kind ... and I would love to see your blowup sticker logo on the truck...DO IT😃

KIS, keep it simple! .
A quick fix for the worn strike is to wrap some electrical tape around it bulks it out a bit
Don't think that would last long.
@@Sasnak ya not a permanent fix just a temporary job if it was wrecking ur head on a trip
That truck is sick
Idea, why not do the stripes in the burgundy of your old truck to pay homage to it?
All my previous trucks were blue. I like blue better
How much does It weigh with that big sleep ? Love the channel
Was that truck sitting at TLG peterbilt dealership?
Good Morning 🤠
look into moon glow stripes for covering up that yellow?
Who do you lease to ? Sounds like a similar operation to trailer transit out of Indiana
