I didn't know that this place existed in the Philippines. It took me down memory lane back in the early seventies in Makati. I can see myself living and retiring here. This is almost like SoCal where I live. So clean, love the tree-lined streets and bike lanes. thanks for sharing.

Great idea to add the map! I lived in south forbes during 1 year when there was the hash fall. There are high end subdivisions surrounding by best schools and golf parks here.

No place can be meaningfully be called sustainable if its car-centric like this place. Truly sustainable areas don't use cars as their primary mode of transport, it's public transport, walking and/or biking.
The Philippines is still way way behind the world when it comes to an efficient mass transit or even electric mass transit. I think it may have to do with how car manufacturers have lobbied hard to keep selling cars in the Philippines. Since it's a poorer country than the US or some parts of Europe, it cannot really think of sustainability. It will always be beholden to corporate maneuverings; our roads are privatized. Meanwhile, New York has built more trains and yes, even LA has a good train system snaking around it, improving their air quality in the process. If you do a test of the quality of the air in Manila, for example, it's really bad, no thanks to cars' fumes. I like how Barcelona was designed. Oh well...

The road is meant to be shared with bikes as indicated by signages painted on the road as well as posts. Bikes are regular on these roads, for now its leisure, go there saturday or sunday or even weekdays and you'll see. Also imho most work in other areas other than Nuvali thats why the need for cars. Also those who live here knows that they are sharing the road with bikes or joggers and again for visitors, signages are very visible to remind motorist of that. If i have my way I'll use my bike but unfortunely i am not yet fit to ride 5 to 6 km to solenad whivh is the nearest mall area or even the camelray area.

Sorry but there is a bike lane with painted signages all through out the estate. Also reminders to motorist that the road is shared with bikers and joggers. Actually this place is a bikers hub. Just go there saturday sunday morning. Also the nearest mall from say parkway settings or venare is ~6km. Camalray is 3km, that is far. Not all can ride that on a bike. But it goes without saying that in the future if we have satellite malls within, certainly we will use our bikes and generally it is safe because motorist within knows that they are sharing the road with bikers
