LOL DONT GET DIVORCED THATS A GREAT COLLECTION
I feel like if they do get divorced Omar is lossing everything.
When I first met Omar, I said that I wanted a collection just like his. ;)
@@astonishingmelanie I bet thats why he new you was the 1😇
STAY TOGETHER FOR THE BOOKS!
I give it another 3 years.
Wow, such a big collection and lots of manga you wouldn’t usually see in other collections.
Thank you, my friend.

@@user-kl8uz4ls3s no one asked you
@@NearMintCondition also that collection is great (wish I had enough space to make a big collection lol I even have a used book store I just ain't got space enough)

Now THIS is a uniquely distinctive collection worth showing off …... Not one of those 99% cookie cutter clone popular manga collection videos out there ………. But actually captivating & great to see some Really Obscure OOP Rare Oldies ( that's my genre of interest ) … Also informative hosts with some art showcasing thrown in on top … Very enjoyable.
Thank you so much for the kind words and for taking the time to watch our tour. We love this hobby of ours.
Thank you!! 😁
If this isn't life goals, I don't know what is.
:) Thank you so much.
And in the bible it was said that we would be blessed with an updated manga collection
LOL AMEN
HAHAHA Love the comment.
The death note bible (all In one edition) lol
Omar: Idk why I'm doing this no one is gonna care about my collection which I been doing for 30 years...
Me: OMG HE HAS NO LONGER HUMAN BEHIND A BUNCH OF OTHER BOOKS AS IF IT WASN'T ONE OF THE RAREST MANGA OUT THERE. OMG HE HAS OLD SCHOOL JUNJI ITO BOOKS. WTH ARE ALL THESE AMAZING SERIES I NEVER HEARD ABOUT!!!!?!?!??!!
The man always undersells himself.
Thank you, brother. You really put things into perspective. :)
@@NearMintCondition dude seriously your collection is amazing. I know you already put out a lot of content but if you could fit some manga videos every now and then it would be awesome!
At what point in the video I can’t find it heeelp I watched the video five times!!! And still I can’t find it 😅(huge Junji ito fan )
I'm a simple man. I see a manga video from Omar, I click like.
Much love back to you, brother.
Could you make a top 10 fav manga video? With all that manga, yours would be interesting asf
I promise that is on my list of videos to do.
Awesome collection guys, lots of great stuff here! Seeing you show Basilisk made me remember when I found that exact volume in my school library and wondering if it should even be there because of all the nudity and blood, haha.
Ha Melanie used to keep manga in her classroom. Sometimes I would wonder if they should be there.
Amazing collection! Between your manga and comic book collections you are like a human encyclopedia! That could be like your superpower(Omar and his uncanny ability to remember stories from Manga and Comic Books) can't imagine how you plan on getting everything to your new place when you guys move. I'm late to the manga game and started slow. I was so close to getting the first Blade of the Immortal Omnibus but held off. Now it's going on my next order. You've also added Vagabond to my radar and if I ever get the chance the Battle Angel Alita Boxset. I actually made it through the entire Manga tour without losing interest. It was a genius idea doubling up books on your shelves, but I loved that you didn't remember where some of your books were till you revealed them. You're going to need a card catalog pretty soon to arrange and find stuff. At some point I want to have a bunch of international works in my collection. Manga, Manhua, Manwha, etc.
And we can't pay movers to move this collection of books and figures.... :(
This is such an amazing collection! You both own so many obscure series I've never heard of. You should make a list of your favorite manga or maybe a list of your favorite obscure series you think need more recognition! Awesome video!
Thank you so much and we love that idea of obscure manga series. :) We've been collecting for quite a while.
Yay! One Piece is in the hallway. Almost thought it wasn't going to make it when you started running out of shelves to show in the manga room.
One Piece gets its own shelf.
hilarious, #bestopeninglinesever. Astonishing Melanie an automatic click on the Like button.
I never was into comics until I saw Alita Battle Angel 4 times at the cinema. Now I have the box set of Alita and a variety of various omnibuses and constantly adding to my collection. I now religiously watch for an update on your channel after work and look for what to buy next. Like Omar I love amazing art work and that is what drives me to buy the omnibus.
It would be awesome if The Uncanny Omar could do a video on his selected comics based on the best artwork, with story in second place. That would be something worth waiting for. Love your work guys.
Thank you so much for the kid words. I want to do a list of books that would be good in Absolute format. That is a great idea.
Holy cow! Complete Black Jack! Awesome manga collection guys. If I could recommend you a new-ish series I’d say Spirit Circle. It will be a classic in the future. Cheers guys.
Fredy Flores thank you so much for the kind words, brother.
This was so much fun to watch! Crying Freeman no one talks about but it is so good! Great collection. I see so much I am jealous about
Thank you so much for the kind words.
27:54 Soul Eater ended years ago. The mangaka has a new series called Fire Force. It recently got an anime adaptation and both the manga nad anime are fantastic
I need to catch up!
Out of the gate with the best series ever! Much love!
You know that he is the man! :)
im so bored doing my school works that i finished watch this tour HAHAHAHAHA
I hope you enjoy. I need to do an updated tour.
@@NearMintCondition YEY 😄
I've been waiting for this a long time.!!!!
I hope it delivered. :)
Wow cool video man
Just recently got into manga (about 5 months )
Nice collection 👍
Thank you so much and I love MANGA :)
Same man i bought my first manga on February 1st and i currently have around 60 volumes
SO glad to see a manga collection from you guys! Longest one I've ever seen and plenty of new series for me to check out lol
I hope we introduced you to some new series that you will like.
Honestly this is the best manga tour on youtube, the rest are all the same.
Thank you so much for the kind words. Seriously.
I'm amazed at the amount of work Urasawa has produced. the guy is a machine
Not only the amount of work, but seriously how great it all is.
Epic collection and awesome video. Saw same manga I get
I love looking at other people's hauls and tours to see if I get the same thing.
I have a very small collection of manga
The Legend Of Mother Sarah is one of those sleeper sagas which never got fully published in the states. It gets REALLY dark after the first story, but it also has one of the most realistic depictions of the damage warfare actually does to civilization.
It’s HEAVY stuff that includes topics such as how warfare is funded and propagandized, how women and children are treated by the military assigned to defend their territory, how some people lose their minds due to PTSD, etc.
It’s take on warfare is unflinching and accurate. You should pick up the comics as they are still pretty cheap and easy to find.
Sadly I don't think it got collected in all in America.
@@NearMintCondition that's correct. It only got published up to the third story-arc.
You guys have an awesome collection. Some manga I haven't seen in years rather it was in my collection or at one of my local comic book stores brought back so many wonderful memories. Thanks for sharing and hope to see another update to this again.
Andrew Barron thank you so much for the kind words. And it also brought back so many memories for us.
I didn't really pay attention to the music until around the 26:00 minute mark and realized that it sounded like trumpets doing the Uncharted video game theme! Love that. Nice touch.
Yes sir. :)
I just finished the entirety of Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin this month, and it is phenomenal.
I need to pick up the last couple of volumes.
Jojo undress gets better . Parts 1-3 could be a little unusual to get through but 4-8 are straight masterpiece
Andy Taveras going to keep trucking and read them.
I love the opening joke!!! Very cute!! Dude don't piss her off!
Thank you so much for the kind words.
Nice collection, but it probably doesn't hold a candle to the magic in Melanie's Craft Room. Give us that tour!
HAHAHAHA DO NOT give that woman ideas. :)
It has Kill Bill swords!
@@astonishingmelanie Sounds like a hell of a craft room/murder den! Omar definitely lucked out when he met you.
Thank you for sharing! Would you consider doing "most wanted omnibus/reprints" for manga?
Ralph Maurice Yeppers! We’ll write it down.
You really have some treasures there that you pretty much can't get your hands on at all these days or it'll cost you both arms and legs.
And wow sometimes I forget how many manga have gone on hiatus or cancelled by the mangaka until you mention it. Looking at you CLAMP!
Oh yeah, so much of it is on hiatus. Thinking of making a video talking about manga I want to come back out of hiatus.
2/3rd.... That's rough.....
You guys are awesome and I really enjoyed this video!!! That being said Omar, I want to get into the manga scene a bit and Do you find the 3 in 1's just a better format to collect them in? I'm currently collecting Berserk's Deluxe Ed. format and man, they are gorgeous so as SOON as I saw the Devilman HC Vol 1 I picked it up on Amazon for $5.
I'm a hardcore manga collector, thought I'd help you out. There's actually a subreddit called Mangacollectors if you ever want to ask other collectors things!
Omnibus really widely vary in quality so I can't blanket recommend them. For good examples, Berserk Deluxe is a fantastic omnibus alternative to the singles (though it'll take years for the story to catch up in omnibus) and the recent Fullmetal Alchemist Fullmetal editions are very nicely made. In softcover omnis for a good example the build of the Flowers of Evil omnibus is pretty good and they made a decent alternative for the out of print singles. Some manga you have no choice but to buy in omnibus - one you mentioned being Devilman, it's a good omni but it's the only way it's ever been released in english.
There are bad omnis though. For instance, many of Viz's Shonen Jump 3-in-1s are really cheap. The cheapest paper ever and low build quality. If you're just in it to read it once and maybe sell they're livable but if you want to keep them for many years to come I'd avoid those since it isn't hard to get singles of Naruto and One Piece for instance for cheap. And some are just so fat that it's hard to read them without damaging them, like a lot that Dark Horse release sadly. Those 4-in-1 Chobits omnis are monstrosities.
There are oversized omnibus too like for Tokyo Ghoul, Attack on Titan, and Fairy Tale. They're extremely delicate and easy to damage, I'd try to see them in person and see if the larger size of art make it worth it or not to you.
So when considering an omnibus I'd try to look it up, look at pics, and read the page count before deciding if it's worth getting an omnibus over singles!
@@shinamiEBA You're awesome my man, thank you very much! I thiink I will stick to the Big addition, like I just saw Blame! Master Edition and it looks like a very interesting story so I might pick them up if I end up liking the first couple of chapters online. I'm just a sucker for Hardcovers.
Sadly Fairy Tail was discontinued in Oversized format. Soo looks like it will be the box set for me.
I like the Deluxe editions of manga. Big fan of the Deluxe Akira and Battle Angel Alita box sets. I'm not a fan of the 3 in 1 builds really. As ShinamiEBA stated.
@@Oblivion4777 Glad to help out! Be sure to still look up reviews for hardcovers of course! I'd say they're almost always the best option but very recently Cardcaptor Sakura released in hardcover and it's actually a pretty terrible release. The pages are so thin you see right through them, there is only one color page (a previous paperback release had ALL color illustrations available for way cheaper...), and the binding is terrible with several people having their book falling apart. Everyone was severely disappointed in the manga community as these are $30 HCs and are an inferior result compared to the Dark Horse paperbacks. That's the only one I can think of off the top of my head, but yeah, always look up reviews!
Loved ur osamu tezuka section man, he has so many sweet stories
Here goes my evening watching this! Awesome
I hope you enjoy it.
I've never heard of Iron Wok Jan, but there was an anime in the 90's based off a similar manga called Chuka Ichiban a.k.a Cooking Master Boy. It didn't take off in Japan or the West, but it was hugely popular in Hong Kong.
Thanks for the info!
Finally some manga. Awesome collection.
Thank you so much for the kind words.
This is impressive.
I've been into manga since exactly 1 year and so far I have 9 volumes. But I'm still in collage so I can't afford to buy much just yet.
This is also 20 plus years of collecting manga. So keep that in mind and buy the books you llike.
Seeing you have tankobons in multiple layers makes me feel a lot better about myself, I've got that stuff in three layers.
But your shelf lacks Yoshihiro Togashi's works. Married the author of Sailor Moon, made two highly successful Shounen Jump series, YuYu Hakusho and HunterxHunter. Get to it.
Breezewontspeak I had YuYu and got rid of them years ago as I thought by now we’d have HCs.
Man! Excelente video, lo tuve que ver en tres partes jaja. Gracias por compartir tu colección!
El problema es que, después de ver todo el video, me siento un indigente jajaja.
Saludos!!
The Will mi hermano de Peru! Jajajajaja! :)
I have iron wok jan 1-7 and i love it. Would love to buy more on ebay or on amazon. Some are cheap but i have not gotten around to buying the rest so far.
And i cant even find it if i wanted to read it online more than like 4 chapters. So if i want to know more about jan and how it ends i got to buy them. Whitch i will do when i can.
My wife loves that boook so much and the hunt is on for finding more and more Iron Wok Jan!
@@NearMintCondition i understad why :)
BANANA FISH!!! I love the manga and anime, it’s such a beautiful art and concept on crime by Akimi Yoshida
LOVE THAT MANGA!!
Awesome collection, i got a decent one but i still dont have that kind of shelf space so they are mostly in boxes. Most of it it's from Mexican publications but have some great ones from the US like the Akira Box, MSG The Origin complete now or Alita Deluxe. Looking forward to your Top 20 manga!
Thank you so much for the kind words. Even in boxes. They are still yours!
I'm still holding out for a Last Order Hardback deluxe set. I've personally messaged Kodansha at the start of the year and they never got back to me.
I did see them post shortly after the boxset came out saying that they would think about doing last order but its looking like they wont now. They have released a softcover "perfect" edition boxset in France and Germany but not in English.
I'm hoping one day we will get it. But Kodansha just releases what they want it seems.
Have you ever thought about organizing your manga books numerically from right to left since that is how they’re read?
I'm pretty sure they organize them in the same direction or at least that's what I've seen from Japanese book stores.
Perhaps I could pay my little girls to do so....? They really are well-behaved and careful in the basement. :)
I think when they publish books in america and they have art on the spines, they still do that left to right, even if they are read right to left.
thanks for great video. you guys are amazing. 🙏
Thanks for watching!
Omar, you have a great collection. You're the only other person I know who has a copy of Katsuhiro Oromo's Memories.
Thank you so much, it took me years to build. And still missing Phoenix or volumes of Basara to finish my run.
Way better production than 90% of these type of videos
Thank you so much for the kind words.
Great collection ! My personal favorite manga are berserk and one piece but there is so many great series ! I finally finished battle royal not long ago and damn it was amazing ( but so wrong) xD
It is amazing and makes you feel so wrong. :)
awesome, cool , wow , lots collection manga in house mr. uncany
Ngajiyai thank you so much!
Good video, even two years later. There's definitely some old school manga I'd like to re-own again. Anyway, the main reason for the comment, and this may have been mentioned already and I apologize, TokyoPop became active again and was publishing manga in 2016, under Disney. In 2018, they started publishing other titles. They're currently (as of 2021) going pretty well. They have several manga published in the US, such as Laughing Under the Clouds (which I recommend, as the artwork is beautiful and the story is great).
They may not have a hold of the previous US publishing licenses prior to bankruptcy, but a full list of their current licenses is on their website. It also includes some of the licenses they had prior to bankruptcy.
7:55 Say it louder for the people in the back!
You already know, my brother. You already know.
I hope you get the out of print stuff in the divorce. I can't find "no longer human" anywhere.
HAHAHAHA :) She ain't going nowhere.
Great collection, you two! I was mad when I heard that Dark Horse had cancelled the Oh My Goddess omnibus after volume 6.
I can't believe they didn't sell well enough.
way to WWF opening...lol thanks for the video!
HAHAHAHA :) It's what we do best.
Yes one piece! it’s the best of the big three imo, which is your favorite? Epic collection though! I recommend shaman king and psyren
sharebear421 Dragonball Z!
I've always wanted to read Shaman King, since watching the anime.
Near Mint Condition the manga is insanely better than the anime, definitely give it a shot if you come across a deal or anything!
I loved this tour, I don't know how you can fit so much random manga knowledge in your head with all the comic book info
also how do you remove stickers from manga? I noticed your big deathnote books have them
Oh thank you so much, it was a blast to do this tour together. My head is so full of things because I forget important dates like anniversaries and birthdays. :) I use goo gone. that's my best friend.
Great stuff thank you. You need to advise us on must reads for Manga newbies
Damien Mamet we can always make videos.
Man, I hope one day they reprint those Gunsmith Cats editions. So jealous watching this whole video.
You are a man of good taste!
Yes please! consider showcasing/reviewing Manga frequently on your channel?! :)
That's the plan!
Super humble little collection here worth 50k, its all good guys! I don't even know what's in here!
AYY FINALLY
Sean Smith it’s here.
Very impressive! Do you guys have recommendations on keeping manga safe from damages like yellowing pages etc since overall, they have a lower quality than comics, speaking from English releases.
Keep away from the 3 in 1 small omnis. They break apart easily. Keep them away from sunlight. That is my advise.
10:00 - GON, he participated in Tekken 3
I know him from there :D
Wow!!! I didn’t know that. Random.
I knew about it. :)
can we get a tour of you and Robs video collection? and Dan law office because i bet he has an optimus prime there
I think those are coming.
Please showcase Nausicaä! Thanks for the video!
That's a great book and I will do that.
@@NearMintCondition thank you very much in advance, looking fwd for that video!!
Liking the manga content. do more including recommendations and ratings.
We sure will.
Punpun! The best, it's so hard to find anything comparable, it was my second manga and now I feel like the rest are ruined for me haha, just trying to find something similar.
We love Punpun in this house. :)
Mad props for owning gon
Also yotsuba
I love those series.
I tip my hat off to you kind sir for having Video Girl Ai in your collection. No one else has that series because of how old it is lol but it’s so good. It’s my 2nd favorite manga of all time and I”s is pronounced “Eyes” lol
Thank you so much for the kind words. I love that damn manga. and eyes, got it. Now, I tip my hat off to you, my friend because I see with that avatar you are a man of good taste!
Near Mint Condition thank you. Berserk is my favorite ongoing manga right now. Just wish the Kentaro Miura would at least release 2 volumes a year instead of 1 every other year lol
@@WetnwildhjReturns Yeah I know... my wife and I just reviewed volume 40 which drops in America next week.

Everyone of these volumes as they come out since volume 1, I put aside everything else to read.
FINALLY MU SHI SHI!!!! I absolutely love the series but its soooo hard to get nowadays T^T same with No Longer Human gosh Ive been looking for a decent deal on No Longer Human for years. This collection is AMAZING!!!
Thank you so much for the kind words and I hope you are able to find these books one day.
The blade of the immortal omnibus don’t have any colour pages
Well then, until they do a deluxe hard covers. :)
Omar/Melanie - thank you for sharing the contents of your accumulated collection from obvious years of love for manga!
I have a similarly large collection of manga from 40 years of collecting
FYI: Dark Horse has published “Lone Wolf & Cub” in larger (than the first printing tiny books) Omnibus editions
Question: would you be willing to share where you found on the internet the “custom binds” of volumes 15-18 of “Eden: It’s An Endless World!” in English or if you made them on your own?
I imagine you are/were as frustrated as I have been at Dark Horse failing to publish those last four volumes in English for all these years
Thanks
I don't mind sharing at all. If you go to this video. Where I did my haul. In the description is the links to the place I got them:

Folks - FYI: I just saw/realized that the complete Gundam UC Anime series are currently on Netflix - binge? 😁
Do you think urasawa is the greatest mangaka? Would love to see individual videos on him?
He is one of my favorites.
Breaks my heart people judge Jojo by Part 1 and to an extent part 2... It's like a prelude if anything.
I'll keep reading them as everyone tells me its amazing. :)
@@NearMintCondition If you're like me, you'll come to appreciate Part 1 & 2 a lot more when you're on part 3 or 4... I did watch the anime first before reading though, it's a very well made show and faithful to the material as well.
Lovely collection! If your ever looking to part with some series, I'll be happy to buy some.
Soul Eater's been over for years now, Omar.
We also needed Deluxe Editions of Tenchi Muyo, Murder Princess, Mugen Spiral, I"s, Free Collars Kingdom, Cowboy Bebop, Iron Wok Jan, Wolfsmund, Joan Books, Samurai Crusader, To Terra, Tori Koro, Pixie Junket, Cannon God Exaxxion, Excel Saga, Crying Freeman, Wounded Man, Boys Over Flowers, Ai Yori Aoshi, Museum of Terror, Flowers & Bees, Offered, Old Boy, Scary Book, Alice 19th, Samurai Deeper Kyo, Purgatory Kabuki, Basara, Kekkaishi, Here is Green-Wood, Bunny Drop, Disgaea, Lupin the 3rd, Samurai Champloo, Speed Racer, Cat-eyed Boy, A Drifting Life, I Am A Hero, Legal Drug, Princess Ai, Fist of the North Star, Marmalade Boy, Memories, GTO, Banana Fish, Emerald, Eden, Haru🌸Hana, Pineapple Army, Ceres: Celestial Legend, Kare Kano, Seven Billion Needles, and every other TokyoPop, CMX, & Del Rey Manga volumes that went out of print when those companies went under like yesterday.
Oh damn. Time to get on those perfect editions
@@NearMintCondition Yup!
Claymore is 27 volumes. It's my favorite manga. Amazing collection.
I loved it too. I never did get the box set, but I hope one day they release Deluxe Editions.
@@NearMintCondition It'd be more double dipping for me lol, but having Claymore in hardcover or softcover, but bigger would be amazing with new art drawn for covers.
bro u like Bastard man of taste Dark Schnider is a lad hope it gets a physical release someday
It needs to be in Deluxe Hardcover. I LOVE it!
Over an hour? Well, if I could read all of One Piece, I can sit trough a bigass manga video.
Luckily for me, I can't read!
Peasham haha! What? Thank you for making me laugh.
HAHAHAHAHA...me either. :)
Also try With the Light, it's a manga about raising an autistic child. It's out of print and can be pricey, but it's also digitally available from Bookwalker in 8 omnibuses.
Will look for With the Light.
So, when you dust your collection, is that a couple hour chore or an all day thing?
Ha! What is this dusting you speak of?! All kidding aside. Once every few months!
@@NearMintCondition lmao, thanks for the reply, you have a truly breath taking collection, my appreciation for you and your lady is grand, thanks for doing what you do.
I desperately want to get my hands on Mushishi, but i dont think it'll ever happen.
Soul eater ongoing, you wish! Would love more soul eater!
I'm out of the loop on "new manga" ;)
@@NearMintCondition no worry. I just had a emotional roller-coaster hoping they published a new volume.
not into manga, but that is a epic collection of manga books
Thank you so much.
Awesome collection. Good to see some non-mainstream tittles get some attention also. Suggestion: Dorohedoro.
You are the third person to suggest that.
Yes Maison Ikkoku! One of Rumiko's most underrated Manga's, yes we have Inuyasha and Ranma 1/2 but this is probably one of my favorites!
AND!! Maison Ikkoku is getting a Deluxe Hardcover treatment.
All of Otomo's work will be released soon. News dropped recently with the Akira 4k, Akira series, and new Otomo film.
I knew about one of the books. But Memories needs to come over.
@@NearMintCondition agreed. I love the anime, but I never got to read the manga when I was younger. I can imagine that if Kodansha is successful with their releases of his pre-Akira manga that they'll release his post-Akira manga as well. I've been loving their releases lately, so I will be happy with whatever we get.
Tropic of the Sea and The gods lie, please talk about them
should do a 2020 one! (any new comics bought throughout the year?)
Some. And we plan on it :)
I don't see dorohedoro!!! Maybe I missed it? but definitely an awesome read 10/10
Dayton Lee Omar wants it!
Please showcase rave master. A highly underrated series and imo hiro mashima's best series.
I sure will. I completely agree.
I didn't like the first part of JoJo. The second part is much better, but it was part three that made me understand why so many people love that series. What make it brilliant are well-thought-out fights and a genius idea of special powers called stands, you can't find anywhere else. I've read over 150 different manga series, and the third part of JoJo is one of my favourites. I'm currently reading part 4 and it seems as good as part 3.
Also, Phoenix might be my favourite Tezuka's work.
synthfighter Thank you for explaining JoJo’s apparent magic. I do believe people, but just haven’t seen it yet.
I need to find someone who appreciates manga!!!😤
You will.
Near Mint Condition thanks for giving me hope!😂
I had to watch this as a two parter so- I love I love halloween
YES!!! I love halloween is great.
I wanna get Berserk but there is just so many of them and I have such limited shelf space.
Mr. Sand What kind of punk doesn’t sell everything and get Berserk?! 😎
LOL what my wife is trying to say. ..is there is always room for Berserk. :)
I might get those deluxe editions that just recently came out because I hear they have 3 books in 1.
Awesome collection!
Thanks!
Stryder and shinobi dope names and awesome games
Damn more then half of the collection is out of print and rare 😮
I’m old. 35 years collecting manga. Some have made it back to print though.
@@NearMintCondition dope will you do a video on the ghost in the shell omin
I will be. Love that series
