Jokes aside, NFS Prostreet was one of the most underated and unique games in history. Literally the physics behind it is realistic and also the way game it put together is absulotely brillant. They should've kept more games like prostreet for the car community when it came down to racing games
definitely the physics are weird but very fun, i like the handling and crash physics, not gonna lie i hate it for being a close circuit type of racing games at first, but when i gave it another go, i loved it, play it on pc few times, the sense of speed is crazy, car sounds are crazy, the handling physics are nice to drive and fun with grip, the soundtrack is good too, the old nfs is just better, anything after nfs mw 2012 is stupid, mw 2012 is still acceptable especially the graphics and car sounds but the handling ruined everything, like all new nfs ruined the handling forever, nfs underground, mw 2005, carbon, undercover, prostreet, hot pursuit all have good fun handling physics, nfs shit was in the middle of being good and bad especially with keyboards
Physics were realistic but only to a certain point. Jumping your car at high speeds made your car bounce as if you had only springs and no shocks, resulting in crashes. Nevada highway... i will always hate it. Even slight bumps, IRL even a normal car gets enough downforce from the shape of its body to be stable, but a small bump and your car becomes a fucking springboard. Oh yeah and i always hated how sensitive the steering was at high speeds, as a pc player i suffered. I mean, my cars steering sort of tightens up at high speeds so it wouldnt be unrealistic to put something like that in game. But otherwise i loved the game, played the shit out of it too, soundtrack was great and so was the atmosphere, what i wrote were just my pet peeves about this game.
I still play these damn games even though it’s like Call of Duty on wheels now, but the sense of speed, the cars bumping the rev limiters, the smoke building around the wheel wells really gave this game a visceral, underground, and professional experience.
PRO tip: in speed challenge, setting your rear rebound stiffness to max will significantly reduce your car's ability to fluff the ground and fall over.
