Dying Fetus are just legendary when it comes to technical/brutal death metal. They take crushing riffs and combine it with fast sweeping. It’s neither overbearingly monotonous like a lot of brutal/slam death or tech death but a perfect balance of both. All albums are great and I’m looking forward to the upcoming album. DF was my first brutal death metal band, and I've seen them three times since. they're sick, especially live, and I'm really excited for the new album and to hopefully see them again
Dying Fetus is the band that got me into extreme metal (honestly metal in general) and they always have been and always will be, specifically destroy the opposition and war of attrition were the two first death metal records I ever listened to. I LOVE war of attrition and it makes me sad when people hate on it because even the lyrics throughout are genius and it’s got a pretty unique sound and it’ll always be one of my favorite death metal albums ever made.
War of Attrition got better and better the more I listened to it, when I read the lyrics I was like holy shit theres so many lyrics to those songs and none of it is filler, I always loved the more political lyrics over gore stuff it is more authentically pissed off and gets more and more relevant the more off the deep end America gets.
I’m SO excited for Dying Fetus’s new album! Reign Supreme and Destroy the Opposition are two of my favorite death metal albums of all time, and the new singles are just as good. This might be my album of the year if the singles are any indication.
I saw them on 2010 in Puerto Rico. Blew my mind! I wanted them to play 3 songs: Vengeance Unleashed, Intentional Manslaughter, and Justifiable Homicide. Those were the first 3 songs of the set. To this day, I still can’t believe it! Got to smoke a cigarette with Sean Beasly, the bass of the drums made all my arm hairs and shirt move with the vibration… one of the best shows I’ve been to and quite the memorable night.

My personal favorite is Stop At Nothing, love the sound of that record and each song really shreds. Reign Supreme and Destroy the Opposition are very close in line, I think those three records are damn near perfect. I'm one of those fans that never got into War of Attrition, something about the songs and production just never clicked with me.

I admittingly have not heard a single album from this band all the way through, but I am looking forward quite a bit to the upcoming record from them, which I hope will be a good first impression. I freaking agree about “Reign Supreme” as their very best album. It is in fact my favorite Fetus album . The album title really fits it, the album indeed reigns supreme.

I agree with all you said except for your take in WOTFW, admittedly however, this was my introduction to the band, so maybe I'm just slightly biased. However, music is subjective, and we all have our own opinions! Great video as always bro.
My favorite is Descend into Depravity. Reign Supreme is amazing as well. So is Wrong one to fuck with. There's 4 albums I consider my favorite but Descend is probably the one I play the most, personally. (4th one is Killing on Adrenaline)
Reign Supreme is so good. Makes a lot of their other albums feel lacking because it was my first DF album. Wrong One is good but so long. I feel like it’s pretty front loaded and the only things I remember about the back half are the Pat O Brian style solo on Weaken the Structure and the opening of the title track.

Saw these guys last summer then they headlined with Chelsea Grin. I think Revocation and Shadow of Intent opened. They sounded great. Excited for the new upcoming album, especially given how great Reign Supreme and Wrong One To Fuck With were.
Dying Fetus is 100% a top 10 band for me. The fact that I like every song by them with such an expansive catalog that is relatively varied in its sound and musical stylings for the genre says a lot about the musical genius that is John Gallagher. 1. Reign Supreme 2. Descend into Depravity 3. Destroy the Opposition 4. Wrong One to Fuck With 5. Stop at Nothing 6. War of Attrition 7. Killing on Adrenaline 8. Purification through Violence A few of those albums are very hard to decide between for where I place them, particularly Wrong One/Stop and War/Killing. Reign Supreme is EASILY my favorite though. Not only one of the best death metal albums of all time, but imo one of the best metal albums of all time. Definitely a top 15 all-time album for my liking. Alls I would say differently really is mentioning ancient rivalry from war of attrition, and killing on adrenaline is how you mentioned but I absorb the drums differently. It feels like a nice groove in my opinion, to compliment the brutality the others unleash, not the say the drums don’t carry brutality either. Sir, give fornication terrorists a listen 🎧 in the car it sounds so fckn brutal, and with headphones each instrument is crystal clear, and disgusting as fuck. Just my opinion. And don’t sleep on that track ^ ;) It’s nice to see someone almost entirely relate and describe how I feel about those tracks from what seems a more experienced standpoint. Dying fetus reigns supreme and that’s all I can say

Homicidal Retribution, Obsolete Deterrence and Fate of the Condmened are stellar. War of Attrition is what really drew me to the band.
