He was singing on the road a long time before he was on the road with the Queen Extravaganza-- he used to sing with his band 'Downhere' many years before he was singing for Queen.
@@algallego Yes! Over 10 years of touring even before singing a Queen song!
I think there's a public perception that singing Queen songs is challenging for male vocalists, hence the mention of it in my initial comment.
@@algallego did you get to see him live with his old band? He came to my city TWICE, but that type of music wasn't really on my radar at the time! 🥲 Many of my friends and acquaintances did go! Thankfully, I was able to see him in August 2021.

That example Marc sang at 7:39 sounded like how Bon Jovi used to force his distorted voice. A tactic that I believe was more detrimental to his voice in the long run.
I think Marc has a Huge air compressor hooked to his lungs...

I would go to BOTH concerts if he were within 3 1/2 hour drive of me. I have only seen him once recently and had to drive 6 hours for the concert.

Freddie developed nodules on his vocal cords which meant he lost his ability to sing falsetto during Live shows, as a result he would use head voice on the high notes which brought more tear on his voice. I hope Marc is protecting himself from these pitfalls.

One thing you never said and none have ever said before.. is that you don't actually "copy" Freddie's voice... You actually have your natural voice (even not singing) exactly like Freddie's when he was singing... Even Freddie's natural voice (when he was speaking) was different from his voice singing... Which doesn't happens to you my man... You natural voice is exactly like Freddie's voice singing...
Now comes the tricky part hehe... In my opinion...an opinion from someone who have followed queen and Freddie for 30 years... You sound even more like Freddie than himself.... Scary mhm.. that's the truth...

I was just letting UA-cam play the other day, and a concert rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody came on. I thought, either Marc was having a bad day or he was saving a tired voice by holding back. I looked over at the screen and it was actually Freddie, not Marc at all.

I think it would be much better if Mark played Freddie in the movie about Queen instead of Malik.
It was enough for Mark to stick over his lip a gay's mustache..
And in the episode at I'm Going Slightly Mad to cover his face with a thick layer of plaster.
Marc has explained on other occasions that he doesn't want to act like Freddie on stage, nor would he have started performing Queen's music if he couldn't be himself on stage.
Marc didn't want the role of portraying Freddie on and off the stage, though he was comfortable with singing in the studio to provide additional vocals for the film.
So Marc does fartleks
