I'm from Canada, and let me tell you about "universal healthcare" - I'm one of the lucky ones who has a family doctor (half of Canadians doesn't have one), and it takes on average two months to see a doctor if you need one. My son needed a minor operation, and the waiting list was two years!!! We flew to Europe to do it privately... so, yeah - this healthcare is so "universal" that it's practically non-existent.
Great show Dave. 9.8!!! Thanks for exposing our evil and embarrassing PM and our universal heath care. Our only hope is Pierre Poilievre. You should have him on your show. Hint Hint.
I have been an RN for 21 years Canadians pour into Washington State to have babies and procedures. At my hospital the L and D floor is often 50/50 % Canadian and American. If it was so good why would they come here. Where they have to pay out of pocket.
They want service fast and to have a choice in practitioner. If u can afford it why not. It's not that the system doesn't work it's that they are intentionally destroying it to encourage MAID.
Great show! You cannot call it universal health care when doctors are not available. They wouldn't clap if they had to live it. Just this year, 10,000 patients lost their doctors in my community, added to an already long waiting list. I do not have a doctor here. There are very few clinics - with only video doctors and it's a 10 hour wait in emerg on a good day. The system is broken. We need an election now.
In March 2019 I had a check-up and my doctor correctly suspected cancer. He sent me to a specialist who sent me to a hospital to get a biopsy. This process took 5 months. Then I had to wait 4 weeks to get the results of the biopsy. (Yes, it's "high-risk cancer.") Then I had to wait over 3 months for the operation, followed by radiation treatment. I can say that my doctors are great guys and I got excellent care, ultimately, but the many months of waiting and wondering in 2019 were awful.

The closest Colbert actually came to playing hardball in his interview with Trudeau when he mentioned the softwood lumber tariffs, which for some reason he calls "soft lumber" tariffs. Forced against his basic instincts not to be a total shill for the Dems, Trudeau said, quite rightly, that it made no sense for Americans to be paying more than they should for their lumber, and then lied about how his government would keep fighting for a softwood lumber agreement. His hugely superior predecessor, Stephen Harper, negotiated a softwood lumber agreement within months of taking office. Trudeau is less than two months away from nine years in power and has never succeeded in negotiating a softwood lumber agreement with three successive presidents. When he wasn't busy antagonizing Trump he was fawning over Obama or Biden. He's the worst PM in Canadian history. Colbert isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, and he is simply wrong in saying that Canada is America's closest ally now, certainly if he is speaking in military terms. The UK is probably the US's closest ally now, and I am not sure we even come in second. There is a reason there is an AUKUS alliance that excludes Canada. Australia is probably a more reliable ally now than Canada, when Justin "Little Potato" Trudeau is such a deep admirer of Communist China.

Our government fired 40% of Hospital workers when they refuse to get a job, And have still not been hired back wait times are sinful. It's universal healthcare is a lie.
Can-Alien here 🇨🇦. Our health care system is awesome if you need stitches, have a broken bone, need antibiotics etc. If you have something serious going in, save yourself the trouble. Go make arrangements at your local funeral home because you're gonna die waiting.
Canada desperately needs a governing body above its federal leg that’s sole purpose is to audit, investigate and prosecute corruption in the government. Problem is finding ethical counsel that can’t be compromised.
Universal health care in Canada is a disaster of epic proportions. You can wait up to a year to get stints put in, wait months and moths just to see a specialist. You literally can be dying and waiting to see a doctor. Government funded (taxpayer) is soooooo unbelievably bad
I had a massive heart-attack (The Widowmaker) August 1st 2024 (a little over 6 weeks ago). Maybe I was lucky but I was triaged for a wound on my arm and bump on my head, whisked off to The Royal Columbian from Ridge Meadows Hospital and had 2 stents placed on my 100% blocked LAD. I felt I could have jumped off the operating table after the balloon/stents were placed in. I had to wait though as I was heavily monitored in the ER then ICU for a week. I was surprised at how efficient our medical system was. Maybe you have to be dying as I had a 12% chance of living, in order to get great service but our medical system saved my life and fast. Whats your personal story?
I live in Canada. You have to wait at least 8 hrs at the ER to get attention... Medical appointments with any type of doctor last less than 10 minutes, and they don't explore patient cases to properly diagnose patients. How could you in less than 10 minutes?
I come from a family of doctors. They paid $25-30 for an office visit. That is right and I know you may be shocked but go look it up. Remember they have office rent, employees, equipment student loans, and insurance that can often be 6 digits per year. My father a Johns Hopkins trained surgeon truly believed in health care for the masses but said politicians destroyed it.
I'm Canadian and know how the health care system was in it's glory days. Medical practice is in it for the money along with big pharma. If they were really working for a healthy population of people in our country, our Public Health institutions would be promoting health and supporting healthy habits in our schools as they used to. Our health care system is only supporting big pharma....and I think we know by now that it is not a conspiracy. Opioid use ushered in the massive drug addiction across our country that demands a lot from our system, and then harm reduction programs is sustaining and growing it. It's all virtue signaling instead of giving these people treatment and stopping the drugs.
As an American who utilized a Canadian emergency room in summer 2023, their health care system sucks. $1000 CAN upfront to see a “doctor” who told us what we already found on the internet while waiting for 60 minutes in the semi-empty waiting room. They also didn’t know to process a non-Canadian.😢👎
@@antonizvekov1 On a Wed. evening recently, another cyclist ran into me and I took a hard spill. So I went to the emerg just to get checked out. @@antonizvekov1 Oh, suddenly 18 hours is 12 hours. Good lord. 🙄 I 100% agree that there is a major problem, esp. since 2020. Canadians do not have a family doctor, when the real figure (which in my opinion is plenty bad enough) is 6.5m Canadian adults. (Total population, current StatsCan estimate: 41.7m.)
Our public (universal) health system in australia is under huge strain. Wait time to get an appointment has increased, patients in ambulances are ramping outside public hospitals for up to 10 hours. It's a mess. I pay $500per month for top private insurance cover, out of my own pocket to ensure my husband I have access to private hospitals the best specialist Dr's and surgeons and dentists
He doesn't care about Canadians or Canada! We want an election now oxo. Our health care used to be awesome not anymore. Nurses are exhausted and no one can find a Dr!

Canadian here. A friend just went to the hospital because his neck was hurting. 14 hour wait! Another buddy fell while cutting the grass, had to wait 2 hours for the ambulance. Sure, it's free, but the wait times are atrocious.
As a Canadian, so-called univers healthcare is still paid for by tax payers. It's not free! In my Province, we pay +13% sales tax on all goods and services, yes even funerals. Our income taxes are especially very high. It's not free, medical services waiting lists are very high. I waited 1 yr for a MRI?
No one thinks it's free. Everyone knows that doctors, nurses, hospital staff and medical supply companies aren't paid with shiny beads. Why anyone would feel great just by saying "It's not free!" baffles me.🤔
Makes me weep, that a tiny country has a leader so insightful & honest...truthful! Full of truth, & of love for it. While our huge country's leaders don't even recognize truth, except as something to fear & to despise.
Re universal health care: yeah they had that in Soviet Russia and it didn't work out for them. Lines are long enough and I don't have enough time with the doctor as it is so pardon me while I LMMFAO.
Universal healthcare - average 1.5 year wait for joint replacement hips/knees etc, 6 months wait for an MRI, CT etc., millions of Canadians don't have a family doctor, an average 7 hour wait in ERs across Canada, 3-6 months wait just to see if specialist - 50% of the taxes I pay go to healthcare. Cancer and heart patients do get priority, which is a good thing. Vancouver, BC
According to the Fraser Institute, in 2023 the average time for an MRI was 12.9 weeks, not 6 months. As hospitals are dealing with an immense backlog because of C19, this is 2 weeks longer than in 2022. (Medical authorities regard 8.5 weeks as clinically acceptable.)
@@dixonpinfold2582 I'm going on my own and many friends experience. I just paid for the last one and got it done in 2 weeks instead of 6 months. I don't care what you or the Fraser Institute has to say

When it comes to Canada's universal healthcare, I would rather be patient about being a patient, than have to forfeit everything I have to use an American hospital.
I wish that just once when being interviewed, when Trudeau suggests that we should have Universal Health Care someone would point out that perhaps if we weren't paying for Canada's Umbrella of Security via the US military, perhaps we could afford Universal Healthcare....?
I am a Canadian too and my experience with our health care system is extremely different than one is being presented here. I was diagnosed with cancer in 2012. I seen a specialist and got in for a hysterectomy all with in a short period of time. I have been cancer free since then. When my mom got into an accident and broke a hip, there was no worry about treatment, it all just was done. Perhaps it depends on the province you are in. I am in Alberta and I have never had a problem. I don't mind my taxes going to things like taking care of Canadian citizen's health needs. There are a lot more worse things our tax dollars could go towards. The other things is people say they don't want to pay for other people but this care is not one sided. Everyone pays for everyone else.
Dave, Did you hear what Trump said about El Salvador having such a low crime rate, because all of their criminals have come across our border? Do you think that’s true?

@@magistrumartium I can't imagine the stress you suffered - I hope you are well. Doctors and nurses are sometimes overwhelmed and burnt out, yet when you do get to see them, they are compassionate and do their best. It wasn't that long ago that I could book a regular check up - a physical, but not anymore. I do have a family doctor, a 10 hour plus drive from my home but video conference appointments are not allowed - even though it was okay during COVID. But if I need to go to the clinic here, it's with some random doctor via video. The best we can do is take care of our health and hopefully not get sick. Wishing you the best!
a guy in nova scotia canada went to the er because he was having a heart attack. he didn't have access, he could only speak through an intercom, why? they told him they were closed but they did offer to call 911 for him. and he died there in the parking lot.
Our hospital ERs close for weeks at a time to save money. You have to go to a different hospital. Not everybody makes it. Good times.
There is no price gouging on groceries. The profit margins for grocers is 1-2%.
The gouging is out of control utility bills due to climate agenda.
The auto companies gouged the hell out of us.
Housing is high because there is no price discovery. Government sure loves the higher property taxes they are collecting.
I have 2 Canadian friends. They both moved out of Canada because of the healthcare system there.
Two of the biggest hacks in one room.
Yes, Trudeau and Freeland. Oh yes, and Jolie! 😤
Ask a Veteran that has to deal with the VA about universal healthcare.
I can't stand him and I live in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. He is an absolute embarrassment. He's our Joe Biden/Kamala Harris. He also didn't address the MAID program.
If here in Montreal quebec, Took 8 years to get a family Doctor, Waited 18 hours in the emergency room after losing consciousness Later given a vitamin. A sister had a heart attack and she waited 18 hours in valley field quebec, And left with a sleeping aid. Patient sitting on the floors because they locked the chairs. Our government fired 40% of Hospital workers when they refuse to get a job, And have still not been hired back wait times are sinful. It's universal healthcare is a lie.
Trump should do a press conference/town hall with his team. Tulsi, RFK, Vivek . to show this fantastic team
Can-Alien here 🇨🇦. Our health care system is awesome if you need stitches, have a broken bone, need antibiotics etc. If you have something serious going in, save yourself the trouble. Go make arrangements at your local funeral home because you're gonna die waiting.
Having babies too....can you imagine if you had to pay 15,000. to have a baby???😮😮😮😮 that is free and it's awesome.
Why fight for the borders of Ukraine but not of the USA? If it don't make sense, it's making dollars!
Universal Healthcare is broken in Canada. People die on waiting lists.
The President of El Salvador is so young! He is very wise for his age. The Lord bless him and the free people of El Salvador!🙏🙏🙏
Canada would have you off yourself then have you use the health care system 😢😢😢
wow!! El Salvador is a beacon of freedom and hope. That used to be the U.S. Its very sad. God bless America
Canada desperately needs a governing body above its federal leg that’s sole purpose is to audit, investigate and prosecute corruption in the government. Problem is finding ethical counsel that can’t be compromised.
Exactly
I’m a Canadian & Trudeau MUST go!
We need to take our freedoms back
Wish we could order your ER kits!!!!
Thx for ALL you do Team Rubin Report 👏👏👏👏👏
As a Canadian, don’t ever get sick. You’re done 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Kevin described Trudeau to a T !!!!!
Yes except that he is a bad person...he doesn't know him well enough to know this I guess. But Trudeau is a VERY VERY bad person.
Canada's health care system is great, as long as you don't have to use it.
Dave I don’t love the prerecorded adverts. I like the mess ups and the silliness improv of the live ad reads
If you want to call anyone a Hitler, Trudeau would be the woman to call that. You will NEVER see him on a conservative show.
Can someone teach Kamala to speak out of her mouth and not her nose ?
Great Work As Always Good Sir….!
Thank you Dave, I think many people do not understand about the applause! It’s sickening!
You would think the main stream news outlets would write about this.
No. They’re part of the problem
Wait! What!? You only waited 60 minutes? Where is that ER??? I’ll go there next time😮
@@maryhildebrand134060 minutes???, 😂😂 try 18 hours
@@antonizvekov1 On a Wed. evening recently, another cyclist ran into me and I took a hard spill. So I went to the emerg just to get checked out. I was x-rayed an hour later, then waited one more hour for the doctor to come round and say nothing was broken. The exaggeration and histrionics in this c.ments sect. are outrageous.
@dixonpinfold2582 i sat in the er waiting room with my son for more than 12 hours - exaggeration??? Really?
He needed a minor operation - the waiting list was 2 YEARS!! We flew to Europe to do it privately - took us less than a week. Our healthcare system is not just bad - it's non-existent
@@antonizvekov1 Oh, suddenly 18 hours is 12 hours. Good lord. 🙄
I 100% agree that there is a major problem, esp. since 2020. But I also know that the exaggeration going on here is completely unrestrained. Like people claiming that most (!) Canadians do not have a family doctor, when the real figure (which in my opinion is plenty bad enough) is 6.5m Canadian adults. (Total population, current StatsCan estimate: 41.7m.)
I'm glad you mentioned his lisp
I can't wear pearl necklaces anymore. They're worn by KH, NP, HC, and other dishonest women.
I would like to see somebody organize, if possible, a class action suit against the administration over illegally open borders.
another Canadian commenter in Halifax.... our health care system is in shambles. Why would you put a former journalist in charge of Canada's finances? you wouldn't.
I’m
Currently sitting in emergency department with heart attack symptoms . 3 hours and counting . That’s universal health care for you .
Canadian health care does not cover drugs.
What dirty secret is that? I'm sure he has many
Millions and millions of dollars spent on the Ukraine when our systems are falling apart.
Canadian here. A friend just went to the hospital because his neck was hurting. 14 hour wait! Another buddy fell while cutting the grass, had to wait 2 hours for the ambulance. Sure, it's free, but the wait times are atrocious.
Our ambulance in Sask aren’t free by any means……. You have to buy private insurance or pay the price!😮
The best show ever! Pull back the curtain!!
Canadians better vote Trudeau out in the next election. Good luck to you all if not. 🤷🏼♀️
Turdo and Brandon AT THE SAME TIME!!??? GOOD GOD PEOPLE!!???
The things I’ve said about Justin have me on multiple watch lists; and I’m proud of that !
Thank you for covering my broken country 🇨🇦
Dave PLEASE CHANGE YOUR OPENING MUSIC! Sounds like something RuPaul would use.
The Wellness kits need to include Narcan.
Sunny Hostin w/o make up…😂😂😂
Re universal health care: yeah they had that in Soviet Russia and it didn't work out for them.
22 hours in Ontario
According to the Fraser Institute, in 2023 the average time for an MRI was 12.9 weeks, not 6 months.
As hospitals are dealing with an immense backlog because of C19, this is 2 weeks longer than in 2022. (Medical authorities regard 8.5 weeks as clinically acceptable.)
@@dixonpinfold2582 I'm going on my own and many friends experience. I just paid for the last one and got it done in 2 weeks instead of 6 months. I don't care what you or the Fraser Institute has to say
Canadian here, Tho it was during COVID I waited for 2 years on wait list for a Hysterectomy…. Was called 3 weeks before procedure, Had surgery & stayed in recovery room till a bed opened at 9 pm…. They woke me up at 2 am to move me & made me walk to a different room! Woke me up at 6 am for bloodwork…. When they realized I was wrong patient they told me to take my turn in shower! By myself 🤪. Floor was wet in bathroom & I was groggy from heavy meds
When surgeon came was shocked I had shower & was discharged by 9 a.m.
What a crazy experience
So much for Universal healthcare
🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 Thank you Rubin
WTF, Joker 2 is coming out right before the next election?
WOW, I would stay far away from all movie theaters during that time for sure...
Just sayin...
We lost 8 years with Trudeau
9 actually
Bravo, El Salvador!! That speech was music to my ears! ☺️
As for the guy that has it out for Trump that has seen better days, including the second attempted assassinator... MK Ultra.
Like the UK we got mr stamer nightmare 😡🤬
I love ya bud but pleased for the love of God get rid of that opening crazy world opening music its truly terrible
When it comes to Canada's universal healthcare, I would rather be patient about being a patient, than have to forfeit everything I have to use an American hospital.
That's what I'm saying...do you know what you have to pay to have a baby in America???😮
I m Canadian and our system suck
Funny, I was watching this here from Quebec while on the phone for three hours trying to get a doctor’s appointment for me and my daughter.
I wish that just once when being interviewed, when Trudeau suggests that we should have Universal Health Care someone would point out that perhaps if we weren't paying for Canada's Umbrella of Security via the US military, perhaps we could afford Universal Healthcare....?
Canada health care is broken
Thumbs up!
I love the lemmings cheering when the prompt tells them to do so.
You make laugh out loud every day !! 😂
He is a genius compared to Biden. No. I take that back. They’re both a catastrophe
Dave,
Did you hear what Trump said about El Salvador having such a low crime rate, because all of their criminals have come across our border? Do you think that’s true?
That's an interesting question 😮
Justin Trudeau chose his cabinet based on gender and diversity instead of merit and competence .
This is what Pierre Poilievre (leader of official opposition party) will change for the better.
Under Justin Trudeau we are fast heading into a dystopian nightmare
Like you America,Canada is on the edge.
Make North America great again.
EXACTLY! ..DEI ruins everything it touches. What a colossal bad idea.
I love that El Salvador leader. Fucking incredible man. I may move
"Some say we have imprisoned thousands, but in reality we have freed millions." Really great line by the President of El Salvador.
I have been waiting since May for a few calls for routine exams, JUST to make an appointment. The first time ever in my life; though there is benefits to basic health care, if not managed well (and we all know these people could make a lemonade stand go bankrupt) it's a disaster. The best is having both universal and private and let the people choose.
