We will explain probing and cover the basic macros. By showing how probing works and understanding the data it stores in the machine tool, we can begin incorporating statements into our code. We will cover examples of routines and macros that, when used with probing, enables lights-out machining.

Fantastic information, I wish the video on this was better, I could not make out some data. I am a 57-year-old Mfg. Engineer who has written 99% of my programs in the past by hand. No CAM. I am just getting into Solidworks. You have a lot of valuable information to pass on, thank you!! I have written many programs using Parameterized Programming, and Fanuc Macro B. I have only used a few probe cycles on the Toyoda machines we had at Continental Motors.
