@@jaredlash5002 I think it was 100% a bit, personally. If she'd been genuinely affected by the 9/11 jokes, I'm sure she'd have brought it up privately with a senior member of the team. Bringing it up in front of cast on camera where they _literally cannot escape_ and dropping the bit about her dad in the way she did was... just genius comedic timing and a standout example of dark humour done right, imo.
I kinda think she was serious, but because her story doesn’t end in a complete tragedy and it doesn’t “hurt” for her to talk about it, she worked it into a bit and made a way to sorta share her story. Personally, I think it would be better IF her story is true so it really keeps everyone on their toes! 😂 And it has a very fortunate ending so that’s a plus too!
For the people looking for the Robert Pattinson movie they’re talking about it’s a 2010 film called Remember Me. Just read the plot synopsis on Wikipedia, genuinely a really good story, very heartfelt romantic tale. Until the last like 5 minutes where, just as Shayne says, it’s revealed that this last part of the film takes place on September 11, 2001. It is also revealed that Robert Pattinson’s character happens to be on the 101st floor of the North Tower. Really good until the end I have to find this movie now.
Sleeping off a catering gig from the previous day which ended with a absolutely smashed guest getting naked and running off onto the grounds of the elementary school next to the venue.
Remembering 9/11. In all seriousness, we really shouldn’t forget what happened. What I appreciate about the jokes that Smosh makes is that they don’t disrespect the memories of those who lost their lives that day
