It looks very jerky when it starts and stops, how comfortable is it irl?

I have Golf GTE with just ACC (only turns the wheel above 60-70), but it starts extremely smoothly. The only jerky start is when I start the car myself with autohold ON (at the parking brake). That can be dramatic.

Thanks for sharing. Is TJA simply the Adaptive Cruise Control on the Passat GTE, or is it an other assistance system?

It's a combination between the ACC and the Lane Assist. It actives when standing still with a maximum speed of 30km/h (by default).

I just engage the ACC and press the RES button everytime from standing stop and it'll go
