This sweet sound is the reason I switched from trombone to Euphonium recently. Still working on the scales for fingering but just love the rich tone. Thank you for providing such awesome inspiration!
Thank you Milton! Love all brass. I always recommend people try out and learn as many brass instruments as possible. Euphonium has a standout tone but crisp and clear sound of trombone is hard to beat in ensembles :)
This is a wonderful performance of a challenging piece by an outstanding artist. I agree that it is a very beautiful and perfected performance. The musicality is brilliant. Everything about the performance was excellent. Let's not forget the extraordinary playing of the piano. All in all, music at its best.
A virtuoso performance! The definition of virtuous is WITHOUT FAULT and that performance was totally without fault! It makes me proud to be a low brass player~
This might be my new favorite euphonium solo. Simply gorgeous work by Enzo De Rosa for Euphonium, Trombone or Baritone and Piano. Enjoy friends and don't forget to show some love by liking, commenting & sharing. Beautiful! I think I've mentioned on this channel before that I was a bass trombonist from (1973-2010). Euphonium was something I did on the side in things like community bands. Why? Because the euphonium can "sing" like no other brass instrument (IMHO). As an arranger of band music (custom charts for my school bands or friends bands, never published), I always made sure the euphonium got its chance to sing in every arrangement...it was a deserving instrument. Love the instrument and love this video. Many thanks!!!!!
Nice to meet you, I'm a Japanese student playing the euphonium. I'm thinking of playing a euphonium triplet at my school, but if you have a recommended song, please let me know. All three have been euphonium for about eight years. I love the tone of matonizz.
this is absolute masterpiece, even tho im clarinetist, I really love euphoniums and their tone. It s beautiful. Thanks for adding the notes, i was able to play with you :)
My euphonium used to be my grandpa then my dads and now mine it’s really old but still plays beautifully. But I noticed that yours has three valves, and the one I have has four.

@@Matonizz the only time I played with 3 or more sharps on Euphonium (since I play trumpet, and bass clef sometimes confuses me), was for a medley from a game which had 5 sharps, and let's just say sight-reading that was a train-wreck. 😅
Its a beautiful piece for sure. But is this a duet or a Euphonium solo. The piano is to predominant through the piece and is miked to closely. Some times I get the feeling the piano track was recorded first and then the Euphonium part added. There is a lack of coordination in dynamics between the two performers. Part of the issue is the way the two tracks were mixed also.
Thanks for very detailed feedback. Euphonium is panned a bit to the right but distance should be the same. Although yesterday I listened through my phone which did kind of make it sound like euph was a bit further behind piano. It is kind of a duet I guess, but we didn't do video for piano so I figured it would be weird to name it as duet :D Very valid feedback though. Thanks!
@@Matonizz Ahh thanks, it was very soft and beautiful but I personally like the Trombone and Euphonium duet you did, the 1st one, I dont remember the name. My all time favorite was Euph em All tuba-euph duet
For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment; (2peter2:4) - Because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead. (Acts17:31) For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (John 3:16-17) Jesus loves you, he’s waiting for you to repent and put your faith and trust in Him :)
Your tone quality is unreal

Inspires me to greatness, hearing this beautiful sound. Being both a pianist and euphonium player, I appreciate the subtleties of both!

This is why I love being a euphonium player
I played euphonium in school. Used to be really great at it, loved it so much. This was beautiful to hear. I wish I could play again.

So beautiful. I play horn, but I love how wonderful the euphonium sounds. You having amazing tone.
As a trombone player I am amazed at how good a euphonium can sound

that sound... just like Urbie Green . Beautiful.
I got this for my solo and ensemble, it sounds so pretty ❤❤ thank you for this masterpiece
Definitely buying this
It's beautiful as a solo with keyboard accompaniment, but I would really love to see a brass quintet version of this.
Beautiful. Haunting.
Wonderful sound and beautiful music to play.
Difficult scale with 6 sharps, my compliments for you.
Beautiful
This is absolutely gorgeous
This is my favourite thing to listen to. As a person who plays eupho, this is very cool and inspiring
Am going to play this
Simply stellar, but what else can we expect?
More stellar maybe? :D Working on that :D Thank you Christopher!
It's so nice!! I want to be a good Euphonist
Amazing
Thanks!
OK - so now I’m going to practice some more. Thanks for this post! It is lovely.
Thank you David!
Best solo ever!!
Yes!!!
I need to start playing again..
Super Buttery Deliciousness!

Muito bom Matonizz solo apaixonante
So well written omg
Love this piece!
It so good
The high Bb was so good good job I uave trouble playing them I play efounium ro
Thank you!
Beautiful playing as usual. Was playing my "air euphonium " along with you, but my sight reading isn't up to your standard. All those sharps!
Thanks you Andrew! I should maybe make an extra key version with less sharps or maybe one with flats. Appreciate the feedback :)
The swan just can’t be beat
i was more blown away by you just playing those high As like they're nothing
Thank you!
Sounds great, beautiful piece
Thanks Chris. Love this piece! Have 9 more works like this coming from same composer. Each better than the other. Keep an eye for it ;)
This is soooo pretty, good stuff man!
Thank you Toxeski!
My euphonium used to be my grandpa then my dads and now mine it’s really old but still plays beautifully. But I noticed that yours has three valves, and the one I have has four.
Yours is able to play lower notes but it still sounds the same just letting you know cause I play Euphonium too
His in fact has four, so the lower notes (below low concert e) can be possible
As always this is beautiful and so smooth. I love it and the range is fantastic. Thank you so much.
Thank you very much Sandra!
Bravo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you Christian!
Very Very Very good😍
Thank you Eli!
i want to play this on trumpet now, i hope to produce a warm and rich sound that the eupho gives, although its a one of a kind sound :)
Very beautiful, but the most beautiful solo is taken by Asuka’s Hibike Euphonium solo😉
Weeb
ooh that was pretty
Thank you Danielle!
The real meaning of "top brass"!
Thank you Louis!
Beautiful sound on the JP 274... Pity I only read treble clef and 6# is outside my comfort zone! - I know those are poor excuses - but!
Thank you Mark! It's actually very comfy to play outside of the extra sharps :) I'm originally a treble clef reader as well btw :)
I will give it a blow - what's the worst than can happen? I might learn something 😉
Hey where is that euph from? I’ve been looking for one for months and that is an amazing full sound

I just stop playing my eup. / baritone because your sound quality is amazing better than mine >~
I was gonna be like, “oh yeah let’s learn it.” *sees 4 sharps* “Let’s not.”
Ha :D It's actually quite comfy to play despite the sharps :)
