Yeah I was prepaired when I came to jokkmokk, for the summer 😁. I came to stay for a whole year and I have been outside with minus 34 so I can relate to what you said in the begin about adapting, a couple of days ago it was minus 9 and it felt like spring.
My biggest problem is the cold dry air because I have COPD and when it gets colder than minus 20 I have problems breathing.
Sadly they canceled the wintermarknad so I will come back next year. I don't have had any problems with keeping my feet warm even tough I don't have proper boots but good 80% merino wool socks and I walk, every day because I have a dog so we walk every day between 5 and 10 km only when it is really cold more than minus 30 we just walk 3 times 1 maximum 3 km. Thanks for the great advice.
