I just bought one of the modular helmets just like that! I am kind of a big guy, and I have a lot of problems finding a comfortable Helmet!!! I would not even attempt to do mail order, but when I went to the Harley Dealer they actually had the Pumpkin head sizes in stock. I was able to try on several until I found one of the beachball size that would fit my Pumpkin size head. For me most companies stop at Xl or XXl, Well that don't do me much good! I was wanting to try a full face helmet and they had the Holy Grail in stock, The 4X in stock and it being a Modular you could swing the chin bar out of the way and put it on and then the bar comes down. I haven't taken it out riding yet, But am dying to try it out. My last was a 3/4 Harley and I bought it for the same reason, They could get it in my size! I know this sounds silly but when you look around and cannot find anything that fits, That port in the story sure is nice!
I'd probs not go with a rebranded helmet, same with the intercom, it has to mean you are having to pay more to have HD on them. Not sure who made the helmet? Maybe Schuberth? But that is a Sena intercom, and many manufacturers of helmets will allow you to clip on in and have indented speaker holes for the headset! :-) If I owned a Harley, I'd quite possibly go the same route as you though! :-) They look really cool in black, well worth fitting a PinLock visor insert to help stop the misting up though! :-) Ace vid G :-)
I have a Harley-Davidson modular helmet too and love it - especially while riding in cold temps!
Thats primarily what I use it for. I barely do two up any more. Buy if it's 43 degrees out and I want to ride. Time for the modular

I am just glad to know I am not the only pumpkin head size dude out here. I love my modular. I don't use any other helmet at this point.
It’s a HJC helmet. We have the same helmet.
