Ok, DO NOT TURN OFF BACKGROUND APP REFRESH I have seen many tech UA-camrs say to turn this off, do not, instead go to the settings of background app refresh and turn off the apps you don’t use often. The reason turning this off drains battery is because your most frequently used apps have to update every time you open it thus drawing battery.

For 2 you can also click the 3 dots on the top of your screen then split or split right. It will then take you back to your Home Screen and you can pick your app.
If there aren’t 3 dots it’s because this doesn’t work with all apps.

U can also split ur keyboard into 2 pieces (useful for landscape) u have to get 2 fingers on the spacebar then move them the opposite direction
