ok. i just watched this music video for the first time while holding/playing a guitar i had in high school, sold and always regretted it. 15 years later, i found it in a complete state but spent the last few months getting it working and it kinda hit me. thanks for making another music video that makes me cry guys.

@@patchiezero it was a 1996 fender jaguar in candy apple red. i sold it because my bandmate at the time was constantly saying "that gay guitar" and "that pedo guitar" and i know i shouldn't have sold it and just decked him but i did. then it came up for sale locally 15 years later. i was recovering from the covid booster and felt like shit, looking through facebook marketplace and i seen the telltale paint burns near where the top control plate should have been and made it my duty to go collect it even though i could barely walk straight. but it was worth it. spent the next month getting all the parts and calling friends to see if they had any spares. most of my guitars have names but i can't think of one for this one. but i'm just glad to have it back.

I just had to come back again. This is a good song . The chorus is great and reminiscent of something I can’t put my finger on, yet, from the 90’s. And that Les Paul Special DC is the perfect guitar. I’m trusting that you’ve always known how special of an ax that really is and the video is just a metaphor for how often we don’t realize how amazing this all is right now. Don’t pawn out your life before you fully appreciate it!

You can’t convince me this song isn’t an elaborate homage to Mr Brightside. I swear, the opening notes remind me of Mr Brightside. Then them playing in suits in front of the red curtain also feels like a reference to the Mr Brightside music video.
