  • I went out for a stroll on Saturday Night to see what was happening along the Sea Front and Harbour. I am still playing with the settings when it comes to Night Filming, and have some way to go before I am satisfied. However, you do get to see how busy it can be on a Saturday Night, and how pretty the castle area looks. Tonight, it was a bit sombre though, as the castle was bathed in a memorial to the Turkish Invasion 50 years ago.
Audio is a bit better in this film. I don't sound like I am about to have a heart attack at any moment.
Anyway, enjoy Paphos Sea Front and Harbour on a Saturday Evening.

    ►Help For Travellers
If you are travelling around Paphos and would like some hints about where to go, take a look at our eBook Travel Guides.
    ▬ The Kathikas - Panagia Loop ▬
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.

▬ Kato and Pano Pyrgos ▬
Do you want to see a part of Cyprus that is loved by the locals but virtually unkown to international tourists? Then let me take you on a trip to Kato and Pano Pyrgos. Located on the North Coast of Cyprus, and on the coast road from Polis and Pomos, these two villages are packed full of charm and some lovely beaches. Throw in some abandoned villages and beautiful countryside, and you have all the makings of a fantastic day out. In this guide we show you how to get there from Paphos and Polis, before taking you on a tour of the area itself

▬ The North Paphos Coast ▬
The North Coast of Paphos is one of Cyprus' hidden gems. In this, our fourth Cyprus Road Trip eBook, we explore the area between Polis and Pachyammos. This includes the delightful Pomos Harbour, the mysterious Dragon Cave Beach, and the ancient Gialia Monastery. Not to mention numerous villages, churches and reservoirs. So come with us and experience a slice of authentic Cyprus life.

▬ Ayia Napa, Protaras and Paralimni ▬
The East of Cyprus is famous for its sandy beaches and party lifestyle, but there is so much more to it than that. In this road trip we take you around Ayia Napa, Protaras and Paralimni. We also visit Cape Greco and numerous beaches along the way, as well as other interesting attractions. We even have time to take in the new Marina. The route is circular, beginning and ending at the Sculpture Park in Ayia Napa. If you are based in Protaras or Paralimni you can start in those towns and jump to the appropriate point. We do however recommend coming to the Sculpture Park and starting there, as it is best viewed either in the morning or evening.

Yes, though very hot the place is buzzing, especially at meal times. My favourite time to visit is early morning when it is cooler, but you get a more interesting film later in the day.

Interesting to see it at that time of night….we have only visited in December or January before and it’s pretty much dead then, but we don’t mind that. We like the Annabelle and it’s a shame to stir oneself on a dark winter evening 😊💖

You can get some good gales blowing at that time of year!

FYI the thumbnail says this is "Cyprus from above".
Also there's an old phrase "even a stopped clock is correct twice a day" 😉

@@PaphosLife So the clocktower was correct 8 times a day, sounds like good work by the municipality.

We are booked into the Amavi adults only from 30th September for 11 nights, half board. Looking forward to it very much. That bit of the front looks a bit 'Costa del Milton Keynes' though, I.e. lacking in character. It definitely needs much more character e.g. artwork, monuments/ statues/fountains/ vegetation/ planters/landscaping/ garden work/ lighting for sure. I'm hoping the old town has a bit more character, and of course we are looking forward to visiting the archaeological sites nearby. 😊 Your walks are proving very informative, however. 😊 (where to walk and where to perhaps avoid).

@wellerjam nope just an honest impression,I Watched those walks to Paaphos seafront & harbour by day and by night. All I'm saying is, that it could be made into much more.

@randlerobbertson8792 the walk along the harbour front is a highlight.
Theres is artwork, statues, vegetation, planters, landscaping, lighting. Everything you want.
No fountain though, that's called the sea. 😀
You will love it on your vacation I am sure. If not, just stop for a keo in the many bars and the people are your entertainment.
