I had a difficult time with forgiveness too. It took a long time forcing myself to call out the names of those I wanted to forgive me and saying I forgave them and asking their forgiveness before I actually started meaning it. Start with saying the words and eventually you supernaturally begin to actually mean it.

This is the first time I have seen this film since it came out in November 1971. Back then as a teenager I did not feel the full impact. Now as an aging adult, especially with a wife from East Germany, it truly hits on a new level. With what we see taking place in 2023 all believers must prepare to be faithful as never before. Be brave in Christ our Savior.
I really recommend the book, it is even more powerful than the film. It made me wish that I had known the Ten Booms, yet I felt that I knew them through the book. It is beautifully written & God must have put His Hand in it.

Took a Christian girlfriend to see this film in theatre in October of 1975 while still in high school; we held hands all through the film; the following year, 1976, in October the late Rev Billy Graham presented a revival, I was an usher and my girlfriend sang in Cliff Barrows choir. So thankful her and I are saved through the Lord Jesus Christ for all eternity

Then I checked in the exhaustive concordance (NIV) and looked up all the "yeast" and "leaven" references in the Bible. I STILL have no idea what you are talking about! It reminds me of the story in Matthew where Jesus warns to "beware the yeast of the Pharisees" and His disciples think he is actually talking about bread. I think you are deeply confused and need to spend much more time in the Bible, Just quietly you and God together and ignore other strange writings and strange voices from strange people.

I met Corrie in the early to mid 70’s ,I was a young boy at Arlington Foursquare Church in Riverside,California. She came to give testimony of Gods love. I’ll never forget her. What an amazing woman. Gods love shines bright.

I read Ten Boom's story several times when I was a new believer. Twenty-one years later, I stumbled upon the movie, and it still overwhelms me. It's such a powerful testament to God's glorious grace!

Rubbish. I loved God followed him praised him he drove me away because I was not predestined. Not able to afford basic needs church abandoned me left me socially isolated didn't help. Knowing that they were driving me to suicidal aims. I'm just looking for a way to die a quick death but God doesn't even allow that. Churches only help those who are predestined otherwise they just let you suffer. I'm living proof of God's hate. He won't even pet me succeed to die but keeps me here to suffer. Like woman said in movie he's sadistic if you are not a chosen one.

Such a powful and inspiring story! To have the faith, courage, and forgiving, loving heart that the Ten Boom's had. That only comes from accepting Jesus as your Savior and asking Him to take the hate and vengefulness out of us and replace it with His love and forgiveness. Fantastic movie. I never knew about Corrie until I started attending a Baptist Church in our county a few years ago. What a brave God-fearing woman. May we all have that courage there's more darkness coming with so much corruption in all our world Governments. [Matthew 24] I pray everyone reading this has given their hearts to Jesus Christ and are trusting in HIs blood to save them. The time is now. This Age of Grace is drawing to a close. Don't get left behind. The Tribulation (7 years) will be even worse than what has happened in the past. God bless.

Death is a sleep to be swallowed up in victory at the last Trump at the soon coming of Jesus in the clouds. Robert and I Dan have temporarily lost both our brothers, Michael now sleeps Gary my eldest maybe another never met brother Dale another of Bob's and Dave we love and miss so many. So then why do so many seek to change the law of God. He promised to by His Spirit to enable us to have this law in our hearts and minds. Then gave this as an inheritance, after His resurrection let's rewrite the inheritance to keep a spurious Sabbath. Think to change times and laws Daniel tells us. No God is my lawgiver and His work tells me to count the seventh day as our and His Sabbath . One two three four five six Sabbath Saturday not the day of the sun or moo. He created light on Sunday Wednesday the sun moon and stars which were not needed for light. If people want a false day of rest why not Wednesday? His last will and testament promise was a heart recreated to keep the true honor of our creator on the true seventh day and all the law he blesses us to keep them by faith in His enabling promise.

One of the best movies I have ever seen! Very true to the book and to research that has since been discovered. You can still go to the ten Boom house, now a museum, in Haarlem. I’ve been there and I highly recommend it. I watched this again bc of all the evil
In the world- sometimes I get distressed. I needed to hear again how the ten Booms made it through, the Scriptures they quoted, their faith- with the increase of anti- Semitism and persecution of Christians increasing around the world- I need God’s strength! I pray for my children to have strength to face whatever tomorrow brings!

Wow when she was talking to the kids with Down syndrome about Jesus. I started crying! Reminded me of my grandparents that are in heaven now. They used to teach the neighborhood kids about Jesus!
One day in 1997 I picked up a dead Sparrow I put in my hands I covered my hands I feel so pity for the dead bird I looked up to the sky I asked god i said. God please, please give this bird a second chance of life please god please. I opened my hands and the little sparrow flew away from my hands it has a lot of energy like a brand new bird. I am "young" enough to keenly remember the series "Holocaust" on TV in the late 70s. This had a profound impact on my life. Then, when I became a follower of Jesus, "The Hiding Place" had an even more profound impact on my life. I eventually became a high school teacher of history and social studies and swore that I would not neglect teaching the history of the Shoah as I taught the other important history, too. I love each and every one of my students and teach them the full orb of US and World history. I thank God for this movie and I continue to serve Him.

I have watched this movie so many times. It gives me Courage. To know that Corrie Ten Boom did suffer so much and was a witness to so much evil. That she was even able to continue Trusting and Loving the Lord despite what was hard to reconcile with a Loving God, gives me Hope. Even so come quickly Lord Jesus.

That line's stuck with me ever since I read the book, and it always will be with me. I didn't know there was a film of The Hiding Place, and I didn't know it was on here either! It was an amazing book, an amazing story. Another thing that will always stay with me is that when Corrie's Father was buying a train ticket to go somewhere, I think he was literally doing that, and Corrie asked him something about having the strength to do something, it's years since I read the book, and I can't remember all the details of it, but Corrie's Father said to her that like when he'll give her the ticket just before she gets on the train, God will give us the strength to do something just at the time when we need it. That's very powerful, and it will always stay with me. The whole book's incredibly powerful, and it had a tremendous impact on me. I'll watch this film sometime. I had no idea it was on UA-cam. I was looking for something else, and I'm pleased I saw it.
It never fails to make me cry, this movie is so sad but the truth of God shines through every time.

My dad was in that war,never would talk about it much. And now it seems like we might be returning to time’s like then again. All of those were no doubt the greatest generations of all time . I miss my dad every day.

I cried watching this movie it felt so real and it had me researching why it took place ( the Holocaust ) I feel the Lord is preparing us in our time for the coming persecution of Christians in America and in other Christian countries. I pray we look to The Lord and write his words from the Gospel on our hearts and in our minds. We must have great faith and be strong even if we lose our life for his sake , we will be with him forever. 🙏✝️❤️
