@@hanthetzin149not really, because Muay Thai was called Muay Boran in the past and they were using headbutt as well. And it's still unclear of which country had the martial art first, but lots of things had been developing through the wars of Siam and Burma.. for example, things like raw yarn fighting
Comparing muay thai and lethwei is like comparing a honda and a Toyota to each other both our very good cars have good amount of similarities yet still different and gon get different experiences out of both
RIP Too Too, will forever be legend
Какая музыка у них угорает во время боя?
The background music: ua-cam.com/video/Iz6UkAzWKYs/v-deo.htmlsi=N-VkXeDW9fn_iQaN
It is like a boss fight music to hype the audience and cheer more fighters like Gladiors in ancient Rome. When fighters are fighting more fiercely, the band will accelerate the tempo.
What fighters perform before the match are called "Lethwei Yay" to mentally prepare fighters for battle, embodying the spirit and tradition, and "Lekkhan Moun" challenging their opponents with courage and respect by clapping 3 times, like Taunting but respectfully.

Lethwei is derived from Myanmar Thaing (Bando). Bando has 63 arts and Lethwei has 3 basic arts from Bando.
Bando is trained for Noble, Royal, Knights and High Ranking Personnel Officers and Lethwei is trained for soldiers so they cannot kill Nobles easily in the ancient wars and eras.
Aung La “The Burmese Python” N Sang
R.i.p too too
I have never seen Hermes boxing before. I love that the traditional rules to take judges out of the equation. However, who wants to see a draw all the time? I hope it comes to ONE FC
This is as far from Hermes as is possible 😂
If lethwei was easy it would have been called Muay Thai
If Muay thai was easy, Dave leduc would walk in and became king of it. That only happens in Lethwei, too easy
@@dundertvelr2536 "Muay Thai Scoring System" is easy. Try Lethwei rule, only KO to win. Go watch Lethwei fighters dominating "One Championship Muay Thai" fights right now. Most Thai fighters were getting knocked out by fighters from Russia, Japan and Myanmar Lethwei fighters. One Championship CEO had to speak up publicly due to numerous KO Thai fighters and Thai fans are getting angry about it. Muay Thai scoring systems are not saving Muay Thai fighters now.
I like this fight . No knock out no win. It will eliminate judge unfairness. And Myanmar people doesnt like running fighter
There hands are better than Muay Thai id like to see them fight a Dutch kickboxer good fight
Any sport an injury is allowed to occur is considered as a Extrimist Sport anyway I respect your choice✌️
This looks looks like an old video, WLC closed down since 2021 coup.
RIP Too Too 😥
Too Too SAYS that HE lost to the guy the previous time they fought, JUST before they show the graphic that says he's "39-0-14"... lol... how does THAT work?!?!
Headbutting is no worse than getting punched, kicked, elbowed and kneed in the head.
not if you're delivering the headbutt, enough of these will gradually cause brain trauma and damage.
Dang I never thought about it like that you sho ain’t lying
Burmese boxing is basically bareknuckle muay thai with headbutts
Traditional Muay Thai also has head butts.
Muay Boran yes
@@geraldfriend256 Boran=Traditional
@@gegaoli Yes correct. But when you say traditional Muay Thai that is unclear. A lot of folks don’t know the term and trad mt evoked Lampinee stadium
These guys are not smart. No way am I going to give myself severe brain damage in my 20's to suffer in my 30's with cte.
At least it isn't a needle fest 24/7 mukbang until you throw up beat your wife from hgh migraines strongman "sport"
They should allow low blows.
Too Too, Rest in peace bro.
R.I.P TooToo😭😭
The poorer the country, the more brutal is their fight sports. Coz life is cheaper. Sad but a fact.
RIP TooToo.:(
too much slowmo footage. Not for me
I really ike lethwei rules. Either you win by KO or it's a draw. No points drama bullshit. The winner is the guy still standing.
*streetfight
lethwei?
DANG!😮😲
"The Art of 9 Limps"? "limbs"? Presumably limping is a potential outcome
Head as a weapon wow
🌀Let Wei 🫂 🇲🇲 ⚜️
Too Too was killed by Burmese Junta in 2022.
A canadain was a champion of this sport for a long time
We miss Too Too, he is a legend.
Actually your allowed to get up after a knock out if you can I believe it’s the same as gypsy boxing 1 minute
our country has so many talents but no supports
Brutal doesn't always mean better
Brutal means breaking their mental limits, not good for their body. Imagine you're saving all of your family alone from a brutal accident.
If western boxing does it without gloves, it would be the same, probably more brutal because of the techniques....
This documentary is wrong. Muay Thai originally was 9 limbs too, the head but it got banned to make it more universal.
Well lethwei was its own with the addition of headbutts but it stayed like that while Muay Thai didn’t
When someone describe martial art (or anything) as "hidden", "revived", "resurrected", it means it didn't actually exist. Cos if something is so ancient and precious, people have to carry the tradition in continuity from era to era. Muaythai NEVER say it's a hidden martial art, or revived, or resurrect, or any of those "lost in time" thing. Thai people practiced and carried on from ancient time to present - non stop. The presence of Muaythai have been visible in old wall murals, paintings, old photos, then to films. The first films ever filmed about Thai boxing was as early as 1920s. People have seen its evolution and improvement all the way to present days. Now the question is.... why the " lost/ hidden boxing" from Thai neighboring countries looks like present day Muay Thai- with Muaythai-style short-short and all??
Burmese are older than Thai
@@partysnax6674 And when poor neighbors want something from Thailand to boost their tourism, they always claim to be older than Thai.🤣
R.I.P Too Too, he was killed by the Myanmar regime
