Vids are always top notch and informative! I’ve noticed you talk about efficiency isn’t everything would love to hear overall your take on it. Also a review of the Aga Little Wenlock, serviced a few of them those baffles are a nightmare they get me everytime. I spoke to another local chimney sweep about them and response was they are his worse stoves to service.
Oh yes the old Wenlock baffle was always a complete pain. The new one is alright though. It’s exactly the same as the Ellesmere EC4 I already tested. I’ll stick that idea down, I could definitely do a video on efficiency.
Very funny guys, your Boris hair suits you. Got to say your site is a god send for someone looking for a stove but knows nothing about them. Kilowatts, log size, burn time , efficiency, multi fuel. I phoned my local dealer after watching and he thought I was in the trade.😅. My room is 10m x 5.5m ceiling 2.8m high plus 2 rooms off it.I was going to buy a 5 kw but after seeing your review of the di Lusso r5 euro I am going for that one. By the way the dealer has your UA-cam videos playing on a big TV in the shop. Keep it up and thank you.
Great video, had me laughing all the way through. Your videos are normally entertaining, but this brings them to whole new level, keep up the good work, very much looking forward to you two doing more of the same. 🤗
Great to see such bright sparks kindling a new show. It flue by so I've logged it in my Sky Planner in case I need to scuttle off somewhere. Wood love to see more. Twiggy.
Hi Gabriel. It's 4am right now, and I've just spent the last hour or two watching your videos trying to make sense of the numerous options available, and I'm none the wiser regarding which stove would be best! We'd like to install a burner in our living room. I've used the online calculators, and 3kw is recommended. What I've not calculated is the kitchen, which is of similar size. It's not exactly open plan, but the door from the living room to the kitchen hasn't been shut once in the last fifteen years, so I don't suppose it will be anytime soon. I was going down the route of multi fuel, "just in case," but I see you don't recommend that as, tbh I'd be burning wood the majority of the time Initially, I settled on the charwood aire 5, but some of the comments pushed me away. Your 2023 top pick is the clock blithfiield 5 but that's a multi fuel, and I also see you highly rate the heta inspire, I can't even remember what type that is haha We've never run a stove before, so I can't say how it will be used. If I was to say it will be used to burn wood the majority of the time and used during autum and winter instead of the central heating, what would be your top five recommendations. No budget, purely performance based. Ideally a nice viewing window but not essential Thanks in advance, kieran
Hi Kieran, Obviously look is important too, but if we look at things that are similar and plain like the Aire 5. I think the size you’re looking at is about right, the Clock is probably too big, but otherwise we’re about right. Kitchens tend to look after themselves, but have some extra is a good idea. If you’re not worried about cost, but want some really capable options then I’d take a look at: DG Ivar 5 (wood focused) Heta Inspire 45 (does have a grate, but very focused on wood) Woodwarm Phoenix (multi-fuel, but simply too good to ignore). Heta Ambition 5 Only if you wanted to run a stove overnight too, and we’re keen to get the very best out of the wood (and you were planning to burn the best wood too). The Ambition is simply unmatched.
@TheTortoise thank you for taking the time to reply. It's greatly appreciated. One thing I neglected to mention is the opening we have, or will have to work with. I've been fortunate enough to get my hands on a lovely new yorkstone fireplace. The dimensions will be dictated by this, and I have available 800x845mm to play with! The lvar would fit nicely with adequate room to spare whilst the clock at 535mm would be the maximum I'd like to fit. You mention the clock might be too big, i assume you mean heat output, not dimensions?
@@TheTortoise ah, thanks why the blithfield sits well in your fireplace! It looks like I'll be going down the compact route then. Thank you so much for the help. I'll be placing an order with you this week. Kind regards
Wow that was different! Lovely to see you both in front of the camera. I think the news and discussion format works well with interaction between you. Maybe you don’t need to dress up though 😂
I believe they are simply fighting their case, which (from what I’ve heard) does have some legal basis, based on the wording of the new rules. But it does seem they have a few enemies out there, so who knows at the moment. Certainly for now, they’re still highly sort after, and they’re still selling.
Mad as a box of frogs, great vid you two keep them coming
That was hilarious Gabriel and Amy 😂😂😂

Awesome, that’s great to hear, and I agree, the bigger stove is definitely a better fit!
Mafrvellous!

Sounds good. Perhaps the Ivar works for you. The Clock’s output is definitely a bit beasty.
I think (I’m not there right now) the fireplace is roughly 36” square.

You could certainly be right!
What do you think clearview will do?

Very fetching 😂😂
BoJo 100% said that before you and BoJo are twins must be separated by Sunak
I genuinely didn’t even think of that, when I put that ridiculous wig on 😅
😂
