This is the XTherm NXT. Born of expert engineering and decades of experience in outdoor sleep performance, the XTherm NXT integrates improvements in Triangular Core Matrix™ construction and ThermaCapture™ technology to deliver the best comfort and performance of any winter sleeping pad in its class. Its 7.3 R-value keeps the world’s most frigid conditions at bay, while 3-inches (7.6 cm) of stable and supportive thickness induce blissful backcountry comfort. With 70D nylon on the bottom the XTherm NXT is built to withstand the rigors of extended expedition use while lightening your load-it weighs 16 oz (439 g), 1 oz (28 g) lighter than the previous model. While it was designed as a winter sleeping pad, its supreme versatility makes it useful in many different applications for cold sleepers or those looking for an extra measure of durability-just like the original XTherm. But make no mistake, the XTherm NXT is the choice sleeping pad for mountaineers, polar explorers and those that head out when the mercury drops. When you need to pack light and travel fast in frigid conditions, the XTherm NXT is the best sleeping pad money can buy.
My wife is gonna kill me!
Just paid £260 for the long max.... please lord, don't let her kill me.
cannot find what side should be on the ground... Otherwise, this is the best mattress I ever had. Don't be missleaded by R coefficient. It works in summer too. In the summer, when you are really tired, all the warmth from your body is reflected back. You feel it in a second. And you regenerate better. I am 55 and feel on it like a small baby😊. 2024 I take it with me to PCT sobo (Pacific Crest Trail from Canadian border). Thank you Therm-a-rest.
This is exactly the same video as for the XLite...but you don't explain how you UP the R-rating of the XTherm over the XLite which is what I would like to know
Which side are is down on this pad?
I just bought an nxt max on sale. The same store had the exact same model on for regular price but the serial numbers between the two were different. Did thermarest do something new to the pad in the last 6 months and now shops are clearing out the previous pads?
I'm a big fan of the old xtherm! How about adding a wide mummy-shaped pad to your updated line? The slimmer foot would make a huge difference when trying to fit it into a tapered 2p tent with my girlfriend's mat. I need the extra width around my shoulders and arms, but not around my feet.
It's the regular wide size, which is a part of the line.
Do I have to use the side with the logo on top?
No, it makes no difference
In the video she explained that one side is more durable, to handle abrasion from the ground and one side is soft. They didn't explain which is which, but I'm guessing the logo side is "up." Also the writing next to the valve should be legible.
When will the regular and regular wide be available?
Crinkle test ?
Therm-a-Rest NeoAir XTherm Leaks out the WingLock Valve /// I got a new one and does the same! slow leak.. Test your Valve by using a bowl or pool or anything that you can get the Valve underwater, test closed and open and see if your mat does leak before you go on the trail.. I even pop the top off and i was surprised it does not seat down to the rubber gasket! This would be easy fix for them, they just need the inside of the cap to have the round plastic under the cap to set more into the Tube around the rubber seal..
I do love this mat! But i wont ever use it on Hiking trip ever!
I hope none of you have this same problem, no way to stop the leak, when it not coming from the mat it self.
I just received my XTherm NXT, I'm trying to stay light, where can I get the original pump sack? The one that was double walled and fit the neoair pad deflated? Mine from 2013 is like this.
Have been looking for a new mat to replace my NeoAir All Season as the reflective inner is coming apart and flies out like glitter every time I deflate it. Was looking at some others till I stumbled across this last night…and instantly knew it was ‘the one’ 😂. The specs are as good as they get…can’t wait!..
Why dont you send it back and use your life time guarantee ?
@@Olan...I have no idea why people don’t know about that. 😞
If I have to spend $250 plus it’s the last time I will.
hi, do you have the actual weight information between the previous model "SKU 13250" v.s the current model "SKU 11633"
Why are all the pads only 196? I'm 196 and my feet are always off the pad... Would be nice to have 201cm or something like that...
:D
Not having a 30" wide option is a deal breaker for me. Sorry.
Just bought mine!
We love to hear it!
@@ThermaRest any update for the uber lite??
Hey there, while inflating the pad, I can clearly hear and feel air coming out at the sides of the valve, is it supposed to be like that?
Its the same for me on my new xlite nxt and On my older xtherm (which has the same valve). So Its probably supposed to be like that, though it's a bit annoying
Make sure the "wings" on the valve (yellow on the XTherm) are in the closed position (flush with the seam) and not turned to the open/deflate position. Also make sure both the wings and black part of the valve are closed when in use.
My best sleeping pad ever i used the xterm neo air generation one, in India, pakistan, for months each day for hours of good sleep 3 months non stop.
Only one problem with the outer layer the grey color paint on the outer layer is loosing color to yellowish transparant because of my sweat in the warm Summer days in India and Pakistan.
I this video I didn’t see any thing about the outer layer. If thermarest can al so doing something to the outer layer it will be the best sleeping pad ever in human history.
This sleeping pad i will definitely buy again no matter what.
The best is now even better,
Why do you put such a shitty pumpsack with this great pad? Its a pain in the ass to use, the pumpsack alone will be the reason for me to send it back
It's cool to make advertisement for it. Would be ever cooler if it was available to buy.
REI
Still only offering sizes for woman, small and average size men. When can we get 30 to 35" wide size options? I don't care if it weighed 3 lbs, even 4. I'm stuck backpacking with a mondoking because it's the only thing warm enough and big enough to fit on. Come on guys. This sucks. We need more options besides just stuff made for little guys and thru-hikers. You don't think extra large men backpack too? Car camping pads are heavy even for us.
Appreciate the R-value, making it the only pad needed for year-round use in the North! 🥾🏔🇨🇦❤️
