I want BBC Radio 4 to return am in England, Northern Ireland and South West England on AM instead of people retuning on FM or Digital Radio which is quite sad.

How dare you close BBC Radio 4 in Newcastle, Belfast, Derry, London, Enniskillen, Carlisle and Aberdeen on 603 MHz, 720 MHz, 756 MHz, 774 MHz, 1449 MHz and 1485 MHz

Well, they are too costly to maintain such old technology as they are nearing the end of their working lives... There's lots of alternative ways to listen to BBC Radio 4 such as FM, LW (until it shuts down next year), DAB digital radio, digital TV and BBC Sounds because so many people are now already listening to BBC Radio 4 on those methods... I do prefer listen to some of the podcasts broadcast by that station, such as the Today programme on BBC Sounds when I do long journeys sometimes....

@@1036Professor will BBC Radio 4 on 198 LW be replaced with Mona FM from the Burghead transmitter, Westerglen transmitter and the Droitwich transmitter and the ones on AM 603 kHz in Tyne and Wear, 720 kHz in London, Belfast and Ireland and Derry, 756 kHz in Cornwall, 774 kHz in Enniskillen and Plymouth, 1449 kHz in Aberdeen and 1485 kHz in Carlisle are replaced with France Bleu from Lille
