- Comparison from Clean to crunch to hi gain tone. Versatile sounding!!. We use the same amp setting for all the model.

That neck position sound on a 22 fret guitar just can't be beaten.
Very well put together and useful video. I think the DK22 SSS was my favorite overall.
Definitely the HH blue one👍
I was on the fence between the DK22 and the 24HSS but after his demo I'm going with the Dk22 tks a lot for sharing buddy!
I like them all but the DK22 has the best tones. Open and lots of character.
Nice playing and demo. Probably worth noting that the hh has another 5 sounds including what was shown here, all the same options but in parallel
Thank you for your advice.
For those of you who might be worried about the Hot Rails in the bridge for the DK22, I swapped mine out for a Bare Knuckle Cobra--which is essentially a slightly hot true single-coil that can sorta replicate a bridge humbucker with higher gain. I personally think it's a much better fit for this guitar, which is essentially aiming to compete with the Ibanez AZ/Suhr super-strats. The main functionality I see with an HSS is to be able to shred on the bridge when needed, but the downside is that bridge split coils aren't always great. This is a true single coil that doesn't compromise positions 2 (bridge/middle) and 3 (neck/middle), and I can personally confirm this pickup can do the shred/high gain stuff when you need it to. The cobra especially excels with the neck in position 3 on this guitar. IMO, the DK22 is the best modern super-strat you can find--especially with this mod.
The best demo of these charvels hands down!!
Thank you for watched the video.
Really want a dk22. Wish they'd offer some better colors soon
I feel like the dk22 offers the best colors of the series, but I also understand black and gold isn’t for everyone. They would look majestic in some burst finishes though!
@@QjoCabz I absolutely love the black color on this guitar. It feels simple and elegant, and well dark. It fits my playing
@@QjoCabz I thought the GOLD looked outstanding. In any case it's a killer sounding guitar.
Far out! I really want a Charvel for my first electric (still a beginner) but really don't know what to go for. Was eyeing off a pro mod dk24 HH but don't know anymore hah
Question for you guys, Why does the neck pickup sound so different between the pink and black? Aren't they both SSL6 Single coils? There's an obvious difference. Trying to decide on which to get.
24 frets in the DK24 forces to move the neck pickup closer to the bridge, it is very well documented in the internet forums the same neck pickup will sound different in 22 and 24 frets guitars .
Single coil neck sounds quite dark and more like humbucker
Had the dk22 and couldn’t get on with the neck and bridge pickups, especially the neck. Just my honest experience
Does the neck of the dk22 feels little thicker?
I've got both a 22 and 24 fret Dinky and is there is a difference, I can;t tell playing them back to back.
Greta video, the DK22 for some reason sounded better under high gain and a lot fatter. The results surprised me to be honest.
1: DK22
2: DK24 HH
3: DK24 HSS
The neck pickup on the DK22 is placed further from the bridge, typically under where the 24th fret would be, this generally means a fatter sound. As for the bridge pickup, well the DK22 has a hot rail which will always sound a bit different.
@@yessitsme6884 you said everything, that's why the 22 frets is more suitable for those seeking for that stratty sound
Didn’t like hot rail at all. Wish they would make DK22 HSS version. That would be my choice
Id definetely pick a hh the ss nah
