      @@MoSec9 They don't respond to emails. If you contact them about an issue, expect to wait 1-2 weeks for a response, if you get one at all. They recently sold me flip down safeties that each had a pin welded at an angle, making them unusable. First, they took nearly a month to ship the safeties, even though they said they were in stock when I ordered. When I emailed them about the delay, took two weeks to get a response. When I received the safeties and saw they were defective, I emailed REP again.....this time, it took exactly a week to get a response. REP immediately refunded me without question and told me to, and I quote, "throw them away." Meaning, throw the safeties away. They were so messed up, REP didn't even want them returned. The way they responded led me to conclude they got a bad batch from China and they knew it and were selling them anyway, hoping people wouldn't complain and if they did, instant refund. They didn't even ask further questions or request additional photos (you can only provide one photo when contacting through REP's website). They just refunded instantly. It just seemed......shady? Whatever. My entire Gym is Rogue, EliteFTS and Kabuki. I will never buy another REP anything.

    You can bench with spotter arms outside the rack and also have a friend stand inside the rack. You can do the same for incline so you don’t have to worry about the bench hitting the weight stack. As for low row, adjust the footplate out and sit on the bottom of a decline bench so you’re not on the floor. Provides a much better experience.

    Great review.
    Wish this was announced before I bought an Inspire functional trainer. I would love this to save space in my base, but it's just not practical for me to replace everything :\

    Would love to see rep bring out a Smith Machine Kit- That would truly make this the best All in one trainer for the home. Till then the Force USA range probaly have the most options. Minus the trainer either the Rep or the Prime HLP are probably the best

    Great review, thank you sir. Do you think it's possible to attach the high/low fixed cables to jammer arms for resistance? Not sure if the angles would be too off for smooth movement. I'm also stuck with a rogue for the moment, but want to seat this up against its back where my rhino is sitting.

    First, let me say I love your reviews. You guys rock! Moving on to this review... This is a game changer and Rep seems to be doing a great job of stepping things up. I know from other reviews you've done that competitor attachments seem to fit with the PR-5000 as part of this setup. Will the Prime Prodigy attachments like their low row foot plate (which can really facilitate mid rows) and their lat pulldown seat work on the Rep PR-5000? Those are much better in my opinion for quick outside rack changes. Thoughts? thx

      I was wondering the same thing. Might be more advantageous to put them in the middle posts (6-post rack) so you can use high and low fixed- position cable attachments.

    • @jasonzaha9285
      @jasonzaha9285 Рік тому

      Same here! I was wondering if the low-row pulleys could attach to the Iso/Jammer arms with small extension chains. That could open up all sorts of movements with a different strength curve like Hammer Strength rows, Chest Press, Leg extentions. Missed opportunity?

    What rack depth do you recommend for a basement home gym? I have a good amount of space but would you say 30 or 41? I want to do Incline bench with my squat rack and will be built with the ares. What do you recommend?! Thanks!

  • @danielxavier2701
    @danielxavier2701 Рік тому

    Bro..instead of using the low row from the back...knowing that proper seated cable rows,the cable needs to be roughly chest height...so just do low rows from the front of the rack using one of the sides as you can adjust the handle height. If it's not heavy enough I'm sure there's a simple fix (attachment)for that.

    I the innovation Rep has brought to this market. It’s gonna push Rogue to compete with something similar or better. But I definitely gotta change my wishlist to upgrading to a Rep PR5000 for sure.

    Hey coop I've got a 6 post rack with 41" crossmembers in the front. My posts have weight storage on the back, rogue's jammer arms attached to the middle post and nothing on the front posts, I was wondering your thoughts on integrating the ares into this setup, if it is possible to have rogue's arms on the front posts along with the ares or if i would / should keep the rogue arms on the middle post, the only reason I am hesitant is that the space between the 16" crossmembers is pretty narrow to get into to move the jammer arms up and down with the weight storage there.

    If you want to have a human spot in rack. Most can move the bar to front of rack. So that’s cool as long as you have space for bench out front and can get through the uprights.
