The huge missed opportunity with Deimos is that he doesn't have unique voicelines when targeting Skopos, given that he's the reason she's in a wheelchair. Not even a "time to finish the job"
What I've noticed is that if you destroy the shield on the idle bot then switch to it, it's a lot quieter. Destroying the shield could be a risky intentional strat for roaming Skopos players
the robot showing up in glaz scope makes sense. robots take electricity and kinetic energy to move, they both produce thermal energy as a result of friction and just thermodynamics. capitao flame bolts still fry circuitry. yea no idea why the bots aren’t immune to flashes. flashes only really assault organic senses, humans pets bugs etc. balancing for sure. op asf if they were immune to gas and flashes
I like to believe that the reason flashes affect the robots is not only because they would be warden but better if they did but also because it shows up on the monitor of the person controlling the robot meaning they get blinded irl looking at the flashes through the feed
@@flowgangsemaudamartoz7062at worst the glass would be shattered on the robots eye pieces. it’s military science fiction anyway. rules can be stretched
The thermal I can accept, but Capitaos bolts are „asphyxiation bolts“ are they not? They are supposed to burn the oxygen in that area making it impossible to breath. Not burn the target alive (Geneva Conventions and all). But then again Siege takes them more as „Suggestions“ as Smoke is literally a walking, talking warcrime.
Flash / candellas : But Skopos has two "eyes" cameras, one when inactive, and one when active. When inactive, that camera can't see nook, but when active nook is visible. So that's why ;)
Yeah, I guess we could handwave it as: The active cameras are a much more sensitive array, so they can't be fooled by normal interference but they're also vulnerable to overexposure. Although if anything, I feel like changing this is a potential buff for the future. Which is probably warranted, since as things stand, Skopos is a pretty underwhelming operator, considering that the whole "second life" gimmick only works if you don't die instantly, while you can't benefit from the vast majority of effects that help you not die instantly. Her second shell is probably gonna just be a glorified shield/camera most of the time, which is kinda lame even if it isn't "bad". There is also a lot of other interesting and flavorful stuff they could buff. Another cool idea would be to allow them to hop on/off cams instantly and with no animations (Given how Skopos herself could do it just by looking over at another screen - It doesn't really make much sense that the robots have to mess with a physical "phone" on their end).
With the deimos interaction, once skopos switches shells, is she able to still see the deimos location, or is it only visible from the tracked shells pov?
I think a fair change ubi could add is that the robot can scan its surroundings and find, for example: - claymore - air jabs - Active shock Drone - Active Brava drone When looking at the shielded robot This is to give the player a chance to switch and not immediately die or get debuffed without being able to counter it. I know a lot might disagree, but I believe it's a bit too overpowered to be able to claymore a robot and get way too easy kills by just letting the robot switch. Any other ideas are always welcome!
I am honestly amazed that Goobisoft's spaghetti coded engine managed to handle all those interactions, I also dread the bugs/cheats that'll eventually come from it
Thats interesting, the alibi didn't deactivate immediately when you stood on it after switching. So you can stand on an active alibi. Not very useful but still cool. Also cute cat!
6:39 "illogical" it's a robot. electricity generates heat, it's actually illogical that the inactive one doesn't produce heat, seeing as the energy density needed for each one would theoretically be quite staggering with how heavy each robot is
Also a tip for everyone playing Jackal, if you didn’t notice, the two robots have distinct footprints compared to other operators so if you’re scared you might waste a scan because you may scan the shielded one or the player just changes, just ignore the footprints/follow them instead of scanning
Skopos should still be able to pick up rook armor cuz even though it adds to your healthbar, its still a physical ballistic barrier and not a medical organic tool
22:18 no, you can dash through shield and destroy it, the problem is that you dashing at skopos bot, if you dash from left or right side of bot you will destroy them
13:38 the op isn't the robot but the chick controlling it, it does make sense for the flash to still have some affect cause when your suddenly hit with a white screen it can be blinding
some interesting interactions, defender gadgets that have been hacked by brava with the skopos inactive drone, for example, a skopos on a doorway with shield up under an aruni gate/kapkan trap, that is then hacked or a skopos with lesion traps placed on or around the inactive drone and then hacked by brava
Skopos may get blinded by ying and flashes, but she still has the advantage of the robot not making any noise when flashed, every other operator lets out an audible yell.
Vaulting over the robot is pretty big. It means we don't have to worry about breaking the shield with explosives, which makes noise and costs utility. You can just vault over it and kill the robot which will also destroy the shield.
Was curious if you placed a shield and the robot to where back in the day you could block windows/doors from being vaultable. Meaning like a having the robot or deployable be places and have the other go up to it and be placed kinda like a T so you can't vault over 2 shields. You used to be able to do that to doors and windows to prevent them being vaultable
It would’ve been cool if when his suit starts to overheat, he says he’s getting hot in here😂 oh and the robot phone is not really his phone. It’s more like a battery chip.
Honestly could be kinda cool if the robats did different things when they're inactive, maybe even stats to reflect it. Like make one 3 armour with the shield, and the other a 3 speed with a sort of active camo or vigil distrubt when not in use. Possibly even different weapons like give the 3 speed the M12 or something. Would also be cool if instead of shared inventory they could just bring once secondary each, so you get both but you gotta switch between them- depending on balance maybe even allow them to have different secondary gadgets. But I guess this whole idea kinda would just make them more complicated- personally I just like the idea that they have a bit more individuality and promote the fact they can play different play styles rather than 2 of the same.
I think with glaz it makes sense why there is thermals because computer components when being used so like moving a robot around will get hot but an idle computer like the robot not being used doesnt use much power and therefore doesnt have a thermal

I believe the reason you can’t electrify or oryx dash the shield is because the shield is part of the robot? Doesn’t make sense due to the fuze interaction but also could be a reason it doesn’t drill through, it’s technically not reinforced just a few strips of metal the robot pulls from its back. That’s my guess anyways
I see it like oryx dashing your teammate, doesn’t do anything to them, since the inactive still counts as an operator it wouldn’t be able to be tackled or broken, same with you can’t electrify one of your teammates
Honestly with all the skopos counters I'm really excited for playing with/against skopos. I played a little test server and I don't think it's overpowered or broken. It adds a good new dynamic to siege. I'll be honest though, the gimmick wears off once you realize you can't get heals.

Or have her overheat mechanic apply to fire, so she can stay in fire for limited amount of time without taking damage before she bursts dead? As well as having a small resist to flashbangs and concussions, maybe like recovering from them 30% faster?
The reason the Claymore doesn’t is because it requires movement to set it off in game. As for the Airjabs I’m not sure probably just because it has to acitvate the proxy and be activated by movement also

Feel like there should be a lot more pros and cons, should be immune to fire or atleast take significantly less damage like being able to survive one capital bolt from full health, should be able to punch big ol holes in the wall like aruni, should be able to equip different weapons to each robot, should be a significantly less visible thermal signature to glaz, robots would still generate heat but not as much as a person. BUT, should be ridiculously loud and slow, should be a either killed or completely frozen by emps. Really if these robots were done in a realistic way they’d be super OP though.
I am curious about one thing though: When the Shield of the inactive Shell is destroyed, will it's future swap area be decreased? So a player could choose to destroy the shield, but then hide the bot in more secretive places.
