    I didn't know a ton about Kristaps or Jrue coming in, but both seem like high level players and individuals. Both with win first attitudes. We gotta bring it home this year.

      I can’t wait to watch kristaps work in the post. We needed a presence around the free throw line to break down Miami’s zone, kristaps is that guy who can abuse mismatches and work down low.

      @@arisplugis5197 I would be satisfied with winning a title. Preferably I’d want them to win as many titles as possible. But we gotta get at least one right now at our max opportunity at the moment. There’s different levels of satisfaction.

    Trust me this guy is ready. He's physically there and he's really improved since he was the All-Star Unicorn. He gave up a lot for this team already. Us Americans don't realize what it means for them to play for their country and they did really well without him. He could have been the difference maker.

      Thank you for noticing and acknowledging this. Also the way how KP made the decision and the fact itself not to represent Latvian national team on the court got quite a big fan and media backlash.

  • @adammconnolly
    @adammconnolly 8 місяців тому +4

    Idk if this is a hot take because Derrick White is so good...but Kristaps was a bigger add than Jrue. We've had Kyrie, Kemba, Hayward...none of it seemed to work. Jrue will. But Kirstaps is the bigger add specifically due to the mismatch he creates for about every team when he's at the 4, which will help at the end of games when teams have to choose Jrue, JB, Tatum, or Porzingis.
    The Jrue trade basically brought us back Marcus Smart if he had better offense, playmaking, and shot selection. If we stay healthy and Joe does his job...the Larry O'Brien is coming home boys.

    • @adidzis
      @adidzis 8 місяців тому

      first of all the CHIP depends on teamwork and the team spirit. For example Latvian national team despite KP choose not to play but staying with team thou, took wins over such teams like reigning world champions Spain, top level teams like France, Italy and Lithuania and has lost just two points to new champions Germany ... all this from nation of 1,9 million people. But we did it with great team spirit and teamwork. The same comes to C's. Otherwise you could look at teams who have superstars like Dončič or Harden and what they've achieved.

    But, the Celtics have to forget about Tatum and Brown and utilize you and Holiday. If the Celtics continue to focus on Tatum and Brown and not understand that Porzings and Holiday are the guys that’s going to be the reason we win #18 it will be a repeat of the last few years. We know what Tatum and Brown will do. Tatum will under achieve and Brown will try to win.
