The Fire Giant is the one design that still gets me: not because of the hypnotic, swirling flame effect of the big eyeball on his chest, but because you can clearly see the patches of frostbite on his limbs, especially his left leg (which is the one we break in his fight with him), and just the general fact he looks so miserable and downtrodden. He's a FIRE Giant after all, and he's cursed to be stuck on this snowy peak for eternity, tending to the Giant's Forge. Even though he does fight for his life, you get the impression we're doing him mercy.

From a Modelling perspective I think Astel is a work of Art it is all layers and manners of weird but the way it´s body is comprised of miniature globes and suns forming the image of a Dragonfly is just so creative it strikes this field right between mesmerizingly beautiful and terrifying with it´s seemingly out of place Human features

Seeing the Ancestor Spirit up close, its not what i thought it was. Rather than a corpse its more like a blobby mass of tissue using the bones as a frame or something. Like the t-rex from Parasite Eve.

It's fucking Grafted to the cervidae corpse. "Life sproute from Death, as it does Life. such is the way of the living" is starting to sound an awful lot like "A serpent never dies" eh? and it's not like we don;t see a whole order of snail/snake (and in one case skull) hybrids showing that snakes can take on fused properties of many flavours. no reason one could not attach itself to this creature and transform into a workable pseudo-head.

@@ALaz502 I could see it work honestly, if you tie it into following categories: A) optional bosses (Priscilla, Gwyndolyn - both have dialogue prior to a bossfight, yet do not need to be killed) B) rivalry between bosses - I'm kinda baffled that Elden Ring with the support of the literal ASoIaF writer didn't actually had the idea, that people might get the idea of fighting for one of the bosses' side, given that some of them have their own households and retiniues even. Sure, the current game as it is, is marvelous, the Open World alone is just breathtaking. Yet the Souls games could work perfectly if there is some sort of faction system as in 'You kill that boss from Faction B for Faction A, the first boss from Faction A grants you access for further dialogue and story', while their guards in certain sections are acting neutral towards you (sorta like when you obtain the white branch in Dark Souls 3 and go to the giant). Not only would you get the possibility of creating different endings for the game, that see one of the previous bosses in charge, it would also give the game more re-playability because you want to find out what happens when playing for the other factions potentially. And well, if you don't like it or want to get all the 'slay major boss' achievements in one run - just kill them all, maybe you'll even unlock that way a secret final boss, who pretty much is pissed that you killed everything in the world and steps now out of the shadows to tell you, that you f*ed up big time. So I wouldn't say it's just 'talk your way out' - given how Fromsoft designed factions in their game, there's always tension and conflict, that would force you to eventually face several of these bosses, if you care about the ones you spared. No way they'd go a full Undertale route.
I wish they had some way of viewing all of the models in game, like some sort of 3D bestiary fromsoft art team is so good, they deserve more appreciation
