This RAF base was built as a Bomber Command airfield during 1939-1940. Upon opening it was used by aircraft of No. 21 and No. 82 Squadrons of No. 2 Group Bomber Command with Bristol Blenheim IVs. in May 1941, No. 90 Squadron were here evaluating the Boeing Fortress Mk 1s together with some of No. 61 Sqn. Handley Page Hampdens flying mining operations. No. 90 Squadron suffered heavy casualties and the use of the Fortress I was discontinued. No. 17 (Pilots) Advanced Flying Unit RAF was also here
Bodney was transferred to the United States Army Air Forces in the summer of 1943 for the 8th AF Fighter Command and became the home of the 352d Fighter Group, the "Blue Nosed Bastards of Bodney". They began combat operations in July, but the group was not fully operational until September when they received drop tanks to extend the range of the fighters.
At some point in the spring of 1944 the airfield began to use a new watch office (control tower) on the southwest side of the runway, the old one on the west side of the airfield was abandoned and demolished.
On 6 June 1944, the airfield suffered a tragic incident, when in poor visibility Lt. Robert Frascotti's P-51 struck the new control tower (watch office), instantly killing the pilot. The watch office suffered a gaping hole which was repaired and the building remained in use.
The unit briefly moved to Belgium in January 1945 due to the Battle of the Bulge, although it returned in April. Bodney was closed after the 352nd returned to the United States in November. Almost the entire facility was completely reverted to farmland, although a few derelict buildings remain, as well as its water tower, control tower and some aircraft dispersals

38:17 "What was this building used for?" answer ~ "Fish" (sounds to me like fish)
Sounds like a crazy response but no, not really.
So that spies or German Intelligence were kept confused every enemy target city or town was given a code name. these names were always fish. Hence
    Berlin - Whitebait
    Dortmund - Spratt
    Duisberg - Cod
    Essen - Bullhead]
    etc
So, a Watch Tower as this is being the central command & communication building during a raid would be handling these codes.
Seems like more you look the more there is to find

Flipping hell Clint, that's a great piece of information, your really good at this, think we need you on board as a researcher for us when we go to a location. That just amazing, when it said fish I was like 'um poppy cock babble' attitude, but now you said that, that's a HUGE validation. Thank you so much.

@@ParanormalAdventuresUK Haha thanks. I live near Diss & I would like to meet up for sure. With the patch thing you also got WINGS a bit before. So, wings enclose the patch too. So that's 4 validation words in the same small timespace. What's the chances of that? Apparently the Ovulus5 has about 2,500 words in its dictionary mode (got this from its website). i find it fascinating :)

Could hear "Stand By" (very military) at 58.08 and some very clear "rude" words between 58.47 and 59.06 when you were in the Pill Box. Also "Sacred Aggression Monument" words on the scanner thing in the same location. You could cetainly argue that Pill Boxes were sacred monuments to aggression. Plenty of them in the country 600+ in Norfolk. Very interesting.

1:08:25 "Eight stars above" That's rather remarkable. The 8th USAAF (US Army Air Force) was based here from 1943 on. It's patch worn on their shoulder or on their breast was a star inside a number 8. These patches, very bright (& quite large) coloured designs unique to a unit were a very proud distinguishing feature to everyone in that force. The pilot of the Mustang P51 that died on D-Day hitting the tower was 8th USAAF as were all personnel post 1943 at Bodney airfield. No better descriptor of the 8th USAAF insignia than "Eight stars above".
    Very very odd catch!

Well wow wow wow!! I didn't know that piece of history to this place, and yes was a odd catch, obviously 'they' what us to know this fact, I will now go and see if I can find information on this eight star above piece, amazing, we thank you so much for taking your time to tell us this by commenting and watching our video, really appreciate you for doing so.

@@ParanormalAdventuresUK Yes, just look up "8th USAAF patch". It's winged too. Associating it to another word you picked up. The way you seem to get key words cropping up which seem to encompass feeling is remarkable isn't it.
At the pillbox you got CERTAIN WIN / BRITAIN / FIRE/ AGGRESSION/ SCARED (not sacred look at yr readout) / DOGS/ COME ON/ KILL THEM.
These pillboxes were built after Dunkirk prior to the invasion scare of 1940 and in the Eastern defensive area were manned day & night during sometimes critical moments of expectant invasion within 24 hours. Airfields were expecting paratroop attack. The often weak troops manning such defences were often very apprehensive or edgy.
No wonder there seems to be a residual energy!.
The info online is that the pillbox you went in, where you got the "Kill" anomalies unusually had AA (Anti Aircraft) mounts on top. Part of a defence line which would be linked up with the Battle H/Q, that's the building with observation / firing slits to the right of the pillbox, mainly built underground.
Did you notice your pillbox has N/S/E/W painted on the relevant interior walls of the octagonal? It would have been in radio connection with the adjacent Battle H/Q. The defenders more able to respond to / communicate with concerns as to the direction of enemy attack.

25:24 Sounds like "Fight to win" then the same voice replies "Dennis" as a reply to asking for a name. Could be radio chatter but the voice says the three words as a complete sentence... as a statement.. . rather than words grabbed from a radio show commentary. Odd anyhow.
