For anyone wondering Alex Woodward was the runner who infamously got in the way of Stephenson in the 2018 grand final giving Yeo an easy intercept and then going on to kick the goal. Horrific bad luck for the bloke
@@brandonbarker7867 Yeah that does not surprise me dude, players are lucky to get listed into AFL with 1 ACL let alone 5. They almost said no to Mathew Llloyds recruitment to Essendon because of some ligament damage he got in his ankle after stacking a push bike when he was a kid. They coming down hard on pre existing injuries nowadays its great.
Same here, torn ACL left knee playing basketball at age 39. I felt a pop when landing from a layup (changing direction inwards as I landed) and I tried to play on but the knee had lost stability, it was very innocuous, non contact. That was my last game. The knee is doing fine in day to day life, I did not suffer from any serious pain or swelling. But if I really push it, it starts to feel uncomfortable.
When he actually played a full season, he won the Liston medal for the best and fairest in the VFL in 2014. Though he would have to be one of the most unlucky players to ever play Australian rules.
If you guys thought this was bad, look up Alex Johnson who played for the Sydney Swans….Did his ACL 6 times (5 in the left knee then 1 in his right knee)…..
he did some while at hawthorn, who had some of the best medical staff at the time,,,just look what they did with their aging list.....3 straight flags. so it wasnt the coaches and staff. Just dodgy knees.
@undeadkid101 101 yeh makes sense.. so then how do explain that whilst strength and conditioning is getting popular and popular ACL injuries are at an all time high rising in correspondence to the rise in strength training?

Was a shit kick to Stephenson and probably wouldn’t of Marked it anyway
Yeah Iook I hate the pies so it was good to see them lose that match
He was just doing his job as he was told to go out and he was just in the wrong position at the wrong time but Collingwood lost so I’m happy
Poor bloke
It happened against Collingwood too. XD
Never heard of this bloke, but 5 ACL's? Damn dude... Real sorry to see that :(
Calm he never broke into the AFL he was at hawthorn and Collingwood and retired last year

He’s the runner that supposedly got in the way of Jaiydan Stepisnson in the 2018 grand Final
@@brandonbarker7867 he played 2 career games for Hawthorn in the AFL
That poor guy. I've done 1 acl and it really sucked but to do 5 is nothing less than torture. Words can not comfort this guy.

What a halfwit. Give up playing you dummy.
@@jftaylor1000 if only it was that easy :/
@@fbifbi1740 Mate, it IS that fucking easy. Just stop.
That’s Alex Johnson, not Woodward
Yes Alex Johnson was the ex-Sydney player who did his ACL 6 times, 5 in the left knee then 1 in his right knee……
why am i repeatedly getting this recomended to me 3 years later. this happening to anyone else?
All the best
We have the same last name!

"Did his acl six times" still didn't compare to this guy apparently having 5 acls
@@daniel-bg5nqRighhhttt so how is 5 ACLs worse than 6 exactly?? Do you know how to count?
@@killbot86 look up, it's the joke going clear over your head
