I lived in Pensacola for 5 years loved it. Got married moved to Georgia and now always wanting to move back to Pensacola. I do get to go to the beach every few years. Beautiful beaches. And you are right Brent on the beautiful white sand. Graduated from Pensacola high long time ago. I have been to the Atlantic Ocean not as pretty as Pensacola Beaches even being way south on gulf coast still love Pensacola especially if you want to fish. Which my family does.
Gulf Breeze is great if you don't mind a short drive to get to anything interesting. There is literally nothing to speak of when it comes to shopping. Housing is very expensive and the traffic can be challenging at certain times of the day. Schools are very good I hear, but this place is geared more towards the retired crowd.
I grew up in GB. It’s nice but it is for the retired crowd. No jobs, nothing to do there. You will go to Pensacola for everything. Pensacola’s crime is not good. So if u have money and are retired then yeah but if u are going there to make a living good luck. That’s why I left many years ago.
I'm from WA state and considering FL but i am very concerned about rising real estate taxes and home ins. What is ur take on the forecast of these two things. Thanks!
Property taxes aren't as bad in my area compared to other parts of Florida. Insurance on the other hand is bad everywhere. I definitely recommend buying a property that was built within the last 5 years. This will help the insurance process. Like anything markets fluctuate. I plan on changing insurance plans on my own house as soon as the market goes down. I own a $400,000 home and pay $5,000 a year. That being said my home is older. It won't be as bad on a newer home.

Beautiful over there growing up on the east coast of Florida, we haven’t had any woods on or near the beach in years!
Great overview of the area Brant. Really enjoyed the video!
Beautiful although I could never afford to live there 🤣 unless they have 3bdrms for 220 & under lol
How safe is the area? I am looking to move around there, and work at the military base. I’m former military, and interested in buying a house.

People here say Florida is the "Stink on the Brink." Is that true?
