      @@ttttt-mz4ep correct. In the higher gears it'd essential to stay in the power band. When racing upto say 80/90mph it's okay to surpass the max power band because the next gear will fall into more power.

      @@pikachupowersthat's famously incorrect. If we listened to where the car told us to shift it would be much slower. Some petrol cars say to shift at 5000, is that correct? Idiot.

    Some weeks ago I've tested the Mazda 3 165 Skyaktiv-G. Exactly as i read on some forums, it is very wind-noisy at high speeds which I find a minus for me. It's about the bad aerodynamics or whatsoever.
    The question for you right now is: is Mazda 6 also wind-noisy at high speeds comparing to other cars?

    •  8 років тому +1

      +Rifl3man Yes, this is right. the Mazda is louder and a bit more instabile at 220 Km/h than (for example) a VW Passat.

    are skyactiv engines with direct injection as prone to carbon build up as others? i was looking into getting the mazda6 until i found out it was a gdi.. makes me hesitant. i want a car that wont have to be in the shop every 50k miles to remove the build up... i also know nothing really about cars and wouldnt feel comfortable trying to clean it myself. toyotas dont interest me, honda accord is my other choice however the newer models are also gdi engines.

    • @domallen1451
      @domallen1451 6 років тому

      Mary Fink If its small town running about i wouldnt get a diesel if you do motorway/highway miles at least once a month then it will be fine. They only clog up if you dont do heavy acceleration on them but companies have additives to keep them clear and can come out to clear diesels now.

    • @pikachupowers
      @pikachupowers 5 років тому

      no Mazda's GDI engines have a special EGR system which eliminates any sort of carbon build up. all in all, their new skyactiv engines have been very reliable and dependable.

      @@jakelamotta2387 hi Jake, your point is interesting. With a TD its beneficial to try and keep the car in the mid rev band 2-4k rpm. Yes the mazda has a wee bit past this but when you look at the torque curve, it drops off just after 4k

      @@jakelamotta2387 The earlier MZR-CD engine had peak power at 3500rpm. The is the SkyActiv model which does pull very cleanly and strongly all the way to 5000rpm.

    • @muizenissen
      @muizenissen 4 роки тому +2

      A dropping torque curve doesn't mean there's less power, since torque * revs means power. Having less torque at 4600rpm than at 3800rpm may still result in more power available at 4600rpm, thus shifting late is still recommended.
      Then, in the video, you can see that the acceleration between 180 and 200 takes more time than the bit between 200 and 220 - and 4K rpm is 200km/h. Somehow, the engine finds a bit more power above 4K than just below it.

    Die neuen Motoren 2.2 Sky-Activ d in 175 PS, gibt es viele, die 160-165 PS herauskommen. Die Motoren sind entweder schlecht geschliffen oder falsch eingesetzt. Und dann ist der Motor wirklich auf die 15000 km freigegeben. Dein ist fast 8000. Hier ist meiner. Es ist eine Mazda 6 MZR-CD 180 PS von 2010.

    so fährt man doch kein diesel bei 5000 umdrehungen ist der motor viel schwächer als ein beziner da bei einem die motor leistung da ungefähr anfängt ein diesel ist ungefähr bei 3000-4000 am stärkste
    also ich fahr selber den 175 ps diesel als limousine handschalter
    ich fahre immer 6.gang bei 120k/mh und voll reintreten und da ist die beschleunigung sehr sehr geil als hochdrehen bis zum roten bereich auf der autobahn ist ein no go

    •  8 років тому +3

      +Lukas Kocag Hallo Lukas. 1. Glückwunsch zu diesem wirklich tollen Auto. Absolut großartige Fahrmaschine :)
      2. Du hast vollkommen recht, die Beschleunigung ab unteren bis mittleren Drehzahlen fühlt sich absolut am geilsten an. So fährt man Diesel in der Regel ja auch (mich eingeschlossen). Alle anderen bisherigen Diesel die ich bisher gezeigt habe entwickeln hierbei auch die besten Beschleunigungswerte, wenn man diese bis 4000/4500 Umdrehungen beschleunigt. Wie du im Video und bei dir auf dem Tacho bei Beschleunigungen sehen kannst, verliert der Mazda allerdings (im Gegensatz zu den meisten anderen Autos) oben herum nicht an Geschwindigkeits Zunahme. Es fühlt sich zwar nicht mehr so brachial an, wie zwischen 2 und 4 tausend Umdrehungen, aber die Geschwindigkeit nimmt konstant weiter zu und daher hatte ich die Gänge jeweils fast ausgedreht.

      War schon ok so. Wenn man sich das Leistungsdiagramm ansieht und bedenkt das der Wagen eine Register-Aufladung besitzt wäre es sogar dumm ihn nicht auszudrehen. Lukas verbeisst sich wohl auf das Drehmoment von 420nm das sich natürlich brachial anfühlt... aber das alleine bringt es ja nicht. (Ebenfalls CD175 Fahrer, jedoch Automatik)

      No problem, I'm just giving credit where it's due. The take up of past Mazda 6 models with the manual gearbox was around 2%, so, according to Mazda Australia, the sales volume wasn't there to justify a manual version :-(. My 2014 Mazda 3 SP25 is manual, and it's an excellent car.
