  • Homemade Vegan Artichoke Dip | Dairy-free and Healthy Recipe
Dairy-free dip but not sacrificing the creaminess and cheesiness that we all love in a dip. A lot of us are used to the idea of just buying over-the-counter dips that are widely available in the market. I get you. It is convenient and saves you time. But in the food world, sometimes convenience and time have a payback and that is letting your family eat ingredients that you can't even pronounce.
It has always been my quest to put together recipes and meals that serve your ultimate health. Just real food ingredients as close to nature as possible. Learn how to make a quick summer or winter artichoke bread cob dip! This recipe is simple yet rich in flavours and textures. Join me in this episode and learn how to make a nourishing artichoke recipe right at home! Let's begin!
    ***
    𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦
    Jar of Artichokes
    1 cup Raw Cashew
1 cup Water, or more if needed
    1 tbsp. Savoury Yeast/Nutritional Yeast
    1 large bunch of Spinach
1 Cob Loaf (sliced into thin strips)
    Half Onion (sliced)
    Salt and pepper to taste
    1 Garlic Clove, smashed
    Olive Oil
    A pinch of #LOVE
    𝗠𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗗
In a low-heat pan, add a splash of oil and red onions. Sauté.
Into the blender the raw cashews, savoury yeast, onions, and water.
Add the artichokes and spinach to the pan.
Add pepper and salt to taste and a quarter a cup of liquid from the artichoke.
Sauté in high heat then taste. Add pepper to taste.
Put the cashew cream into the pan and sauté until boiling.
Add more savoury yeast depending on your taste.
    Preheat the oven to 180C.
Cut off the top of the cob loaf and pull the soft bread out. Do not discard the soft bits.
Smear some olive oil on the cob loaf.
Fill the cob load with the artichoke with cashew cream and pop the lid on.
Bake this for 15-20 minutes. Don’t forget to add soft bread.
Allow resting for 5-10 minutes before serving. EAT!

This seems simple enough. Though i want to do mine oil free, so I'll probably sautée in just water of veggie broth instead of oil.

Looks so great! I'm going to make this for Thanksgiving here in the US. Just one question: can I make the dip part and refrigerate for a couple days then reheat on the stove and bake in the bread bowl? Do you think it will hold up well that way?

    Hi Chef Cynthia Louise,
    from Petra.
Where your recipe for this? , and does one actually use out of the glass artichoke or can one use artichoke direct from the vegetable itself, and if so, how many artichoke veggies should one use, and how should it be used, just use the heart middle of the veggie itself or should one cut the whole leaves plus the middle heart of the artichoke?

On other subject, in your video, you mentioned about your new book that you had showed us over video, and on that subject on books, in your facebook, where you have that one picture of your yummy cookies there which looks like jam in the middle of all those cookies, at one point, you also had mentioned that
" you'll SOON " be having another book out coming soon, my 2 questions to you Cynthia is, how would you interpret what " how soon is soon " will your next book coming out " SOON " , what is SOON to you?

What will be the name of your next book so that I know?

As usual I am blown away by all of your recipes. You keep the awesomeness coming and I am constantly checking to see if you have released anything new lol On top this I love the way you teach, right up my alley.
I had a quick question for you if you get the chance to answer. I do not have the vitamix (yet - soon to come), I have a nutribullet and the high powered one and a few other blenders. If my blender does not end up being high speed enough (I do have the higher speed nutribullet, the upgrade) would I want to soak the cashews beforehand in boiling water - do you think that would work fine? Thanks again for the great video as always, I hope you have a million subscribers soon - you deserve it and I am constantly telling everyone I know about how great you are and to subscribe lol. Much love.

@@ChefCynthiaLouise Just checked out the 21 day cleanse and followed your Instagram :) Quick question if you get the chance to answer. I plan on doing the cleanse as the recipe clips you showed on Instagram look great. But what do you think if you are already pretty thin and don't want to lose weight. Could I follow the program do you think and maintain or how do you think it would be for those who do not wish to lose any weight specifically and are looking to maintain? Think it could be followed as is without too much weight loss? Either way I will add the recipes to my learning to make regardless but wanted to know your thoughts. Thanks again :)

    Dear Chef Cynthia Louise,
    Petra once more.
Just checking back for your recipe dip, I think there are a few people that are still waiting for your recipe in written form as to how to make it, I mean, it's nice to see on video and watch how you make it, but we are still waiting for your recipe in written words, when will you be writing it out or how long will we have to wait for it till its written out on here?

So, no recipe to your dip up there or what? 🤔😯😔😕, because on front of your picture of your dip, you had mentioned a recipe to it which everyone was still waiting for, so, they are all guessing you have the recipe to it, no offence, but if you mentioned a recipe to a certain picture which is not there, and let everyone waiting for it, then best not to show the picture at all when you mention a recipe you think it will go along with it, but really no recipe for it, you know what I mean?
Just something to think about and please no offence taken, it's just my own thoughts.
      Luv Petra.

What is savoury yeast and do you soak the cashews overnight?

    • @ChefCynthiaLouise
      @ChefCynthiaLouise  3 роки тому

Savoury yeast is same as nutritional yeast, which will give you that cheesy nutty flavour. Soaking cashews I normally do, but some recipes do not require the soaking part.
