You just told me the problem. It's 7-24v but you have it on 5v. So it won't work right because the input voltage is too low. 4S is between 14 and 18 volts, so you're fine to run it on 4S.

If the vTX has smartaudio working then you can change output power via the on-screen display and the BF app. If the vTX does not have smartaudio working, you have to use the button(s) on the vTX.
well, I'm doing that since my second quad about four years ago haha. Never understood why you would want these huge massive freestyle frames. They're just so unnecessarily heavy and big with no positives. Even on race rigs I always find a place for the GoPro.
@@Blockbuster2033 they're durable and their weight makes them smoother I guess? all i know is durability = confidence and confidence = better and more risky tricks
@Joshua you said the ESC would smoke and you'd need to replace it ... could you elaborate on this? Is it because this ESC does not handle enough amps, is it from larger KV motors, staying on throttle to long, because they usually break when crashing and at this speed you're likely to crash hard, some other reason, etc.? It will be helpful to understand so I can keep my repair costs down. :)

Early in my quad learning days I put a 6S on some 2450kv motors. Umm there was a fire. ESC (4in1), F/C, and VTX went up in smoke. The frame was damaged by the heat. And it smelled bad. Lesson learned. I now prefer individual ESCs. I rebuilt the quad. And 1750kv motors on my 6S quads.

@@JoshuaBardwell Hey, I did learn something. =D Well you both seem like good guys and I always enjoy your informative videos... thanks.
So what is the bi Props called and size?
Hi Joshua, I hope you're well. Quick question. Fling around the outside of my house I will lose FPV from not that far away and I'm on the best channel in my Fat Shark headset would increasing my milliwatts help that and do I do that in the battaflight software?
Thank you
Perry
Increaseing mW output from the vTX would help. How to do that depends on the vTX.
@@JoshuaBardwell your way about me in the FPV lingo, is that done threw the bataflight app?
If the vTX has smartaudio working then you can change output power via the on-screen display and the BF app. If the vTX does not have smartaudio working, you have to use the button(s) on the vTX.
6S 2450kv 123mph avg over 100yds here. 416g AUW. XT60 desoldered from ESC on third run. -10°F at the time...
that's my guy. he builds ridiculous quads. great person as well.
Thanks for the pro tips brother! So are you Big Russ!!! Hope you're healthy man!
I use a t-motor F60 PRO III 2207/2500kv 5S. Great video
hi how fare can you go in feet ...with a 200mw...and a 500mw.......and if iam fly like this video aront stuff and rond house what is better rhanks....
"freestyle pilots should build race quads"
Kababfpv: am I a joke to you?
🤣
well, I'm doing that since my second quad about four years ago haha.
WoW I want one ! That is cool, I could have a lot of fun with this, you come up with some of the best things. Thanks for the video.
Do you have link for bind and fly ?
Please can you check on what value Ramp up power is set in blheli. That parameter is most important on those high kv 6s setups. Nice quadcopter.
Ramp is at default value 50%.
Awesome! Which lipo did you use? Like how much mAh und weight? Which APCs?
Lipo was RDQ 6S 1250 mAh. APC prop link is in the description.
What a guy, that's awesome. Let Anonymous Guy know your viewers and fans thank him as well for the opportunity to watch this. I hope all is well in these crazy times Joshua!
LOL that is awesome, I bet the most challenging part is not exceeding the 400ft ceiling, it seems like it could get that high real quick.
What pitch are those apc props?
Thanks bro again, awesome, hugs from colombia!!
Carbon fiber props for this one...would be awesome 😍
during installation, do dualmono in the sound settings // and then in stereo you’re in my right speaker and another pilot in the left speaker)
Yea I run freestyle quads like this. W/ a Super 💪🏽strong 4-1 ESC. Big Capacitor, and premium Motors like the F80Pro 2200kv&2500kv... MCK 2100kv 3.0v. Etc. My freestyle quads go illegally fast, 130- 160mph range for sure
Joshua, I'm going to build my first quad. Should I go for a dji set up? Worth the extra money?
Watch the view when he is flying in this video. You wanna see that, or have a view that is almost clear as day? I just recently got into this stuff myself, probably wouldn't have done so if not for the DJI/Vista view. Not really into making videos, just wanted to be like a bird.
@@coolhanddruid yea thats what I'm looking for too, the flying experience rather than making videos.
@@lfcglen1967 You worded it a bit better than me, but yeah. And if you're also going all new equipment, the price difference isn't that much compared to the higher end products from others.
@@coolhanddruid Thanks for your help!
@@coolhanddruid well 400mw against 1.2w jokes on you
Really funny Bardwell...with the ducttape
What battery are you guys using? It is difficult to find one that can stand over 100 A draw.
Please show us how to build one? Wow 6s on a 2700 kv motor. No throttle limit?
No throttle limit.
Dont know who else to ask so do you know anywhere else that is selling just the byte frost air unit with camera? Getfpv wont restock and is as far as I know the only seller. Any info would be appreciated. Got gifted one air unit and ground station and enjoy it and want to put it on another quad also.
DUDE I love what you’ve done !
Your insane like me ! Haha I have a RC car that had a 3600vk motor 6 pole it was a 3s motor brushless , upgrades to a ZTW comp motor 6s / 8s cable depending on gearing etc.
Well I’ve only used it on 6s and gone well over 120mph!! The rush on a RC car going that fast it’s FUN!
And my next big job is a drone !! And since you basically done what I wanted I was wondering do you have a gofund me or something with instructions for all the parts used to build this beast!!
Great vid. Thanks JB.
Thank you for sharing your joy. This was/is so awesome !!! Joy Joy Joy!!!
the tmotor 2700kv pushes 51amp on 4s according to site. surprised thats esc of choice for 2s over voltage.
Sometimes I wounder about whats going on with betaflight 4.x. 3.5.x feels like i always get it more stable.
Hey Joshua!
You should pick up some side force generators for that frame and see how they feel! I like the switchback frame a bunch. 👍
Hit 200A on your not-quite-over-100mph speedruns.
Would love to see this in the hands Captain Vanover.
At almost 10 Volts, thats the kind of power I get out of my wall socket. Damn.
@@gonun69 It's even more than that because it's 6S. The peak values shown on the OSD for the 10:36 run were 22.7V @ 191.3A which is over 4.3kW - That's just a snapshot from that frame of the OSD so it could have hit a higher instantaneous peak!
@@yngndrw. I somehow read the wrong number and didn't realise that 10 Volt us way to low for 6S lol. Guess it's time to get some sleep
How long is the battery life on those?
Loved it! Great job on the opening!
"I don't know how fast those run where" lol yeah ok, as you giggle like a school girl inside.
Oh Bardwell your're such a rebel lol... awesome vid keep em coming!
oh my gosh i cant wait to get this far and fly like this i am getting better and better now thanks to you
What gps do you use to clock this?
Joshua I'm thinking if you limit throttle, let's say on 50%, theoretical it should reach longer flight time then low kv quad on 6s while just cruising around. Is it possible to test that? That would be interesting.
How many rpms is that running?
Early in my quad learning days I put a 6S on some 2450kv motors. Umm there was a fire. ESC (4in1), F/C, and VTX went up in smoke. The frame was damaged by the heat. And it smelled bad. Lesson learned. I now prefer individual ESCs. I rebuilt the quad. And 1750kv motors on my 6S quads.
I have a 5 inch merica with t motor 55 amp 4 in 1 with t motor F80 1900 kv. Now that’s a fun beast to fly!
wow! IB - can I ask if you can make a video that explains what is the difference between FREESTYLE fpv and RACING fpv???
so does this mean if you are using a sub 250 you can go any speed?
