As a legally blind man the terms "look around" and "see you later" are perfectly acceptable. The other senses do become heightened. Thank you so much for your compassion towards animals.
I have some residual vision in my right eye. I see at 20/100 in that eye but do have blind spots also. Also I do have the option of using speech to text.
Blind people can memorise the keyboard and have programs that read what letter they press, theres also braille keyboards that allow people to feel the letters
i truly teared up at the end when she picked Sinder up. he had this look of extreme serenity and happiness and it was the most wholesome and beautiful thing ive ever seen
I’m so thankful that people like you both exist. We are animals, a part of the animal kingdom, and other animals deserve our respect and compassion. The love in that household is too much to handle!!❤️❤️❤️
I had a blind cat in my care, she was 22 years old. Her favorite thing to do was to inspect all of the different flowers and herbs growing in the garden and of course, sunbathing on her back. I still miss her. But yes, blind cats can enjoy very long and rewarding lives with the right care.
😂😂🤣🤣🤣😅 great job at the litter box Cinder!! That was funny!! His markings are so cute. He looks like he is wearing a black jacket for real. They call this color cat "The Tuxedo Cat" and Cinder is a perfect example of why they got that name! It's perfect! Oh my God he is so pretty!! His "Eye Area " doesn't look bad at all. His cute lil face markings captured my eyes before noticing he didn't have his eyes. What a sweet lil Gentleman 👌😘
I just found you guys through your snake with all those ticks. So very recently. I absolutely love your videos and love all that you do for animals! You guys are incredible!! 😍
That is the AWESOMESt and sweetest thing ever! If I can steal a term from Jackson Galaxy that is a Mojito cat! I have 7 foster cats all special needs and what I love about them is that they don't know they are special needs all they know is that they are cats. To everyone out there please adopt. Cats like this precious cat, Sinder, never make it out of shelters.
Cats actually navigate most with their whiskers than their eyes, they gauge distance and space by what their whiskers touch, my little darling is a special needs cat who only has two short whiskers on each side, she has trouble navigating space if she didn't have her eyes she would need more help than she does now, as long as he has that spacial awareness using his whiskers he'll get along just fine.
Every time I watch one of your videos I just love you guys more. This video about your kitty cat without eyes is just heartwarming. How did you two find each other? What a glorious pair you two make. Thank you for what you do for all the animals that you helped. Mankind needs more people like you and I.🙏 Namaste
You guys are AMAZING!!! The world needs more people like you two. There's so much love felt through these videos.. Thank you for everything the both of you do for these beautiful animals💜🐈🐦🐸🐢🐊🐍🐶❤
Thx. so much for sharing. I absolutely looove u guys’ animal family. Sinder, Clover, the birds & the snakes. U guys have a household I’ve always dreamed of having!
It's fantastic that an animal that normally relies so much on sight can adapt so well. I've spent a lot of time with blind cats and it's remarkable to see how they get around.
Ok, this is the cutest video I have seen this week. Thank you for sharing your animal friends with us all. It reminds me that not all disabilities mean the end for the animal. Thank you!!!!!!
Your cat is looking around in his own unique way...just like people who use wheelchairs for legs...they just have a different way of doing the same thing we do.
Cats have whiskers for a reason. They help them navigate and perform other valuable sensory functions. It's why a very vocal amount of people will chastise people for doing whisker trims, because it will dull the animal's senses during the regrowth period.
That cat is to adorable for my eyes. I’ve always wanted a cat that was different from others. I love all animals honestly but never had the chance to have a cat that was either eyeless or paralyzed +etc. all animals are special in there own ways! 🥺💕💝🤍
I love your kitty!! If I didn't know I would have never known. Our poodle was blind and deaf and he did just fine. When we moved it took a bit for him to figure it out but he did.
Another thing the cat is doing is call echo location. Everyone does it passively but when you have sight impairment it help to learn to do it actively. That bell you have on the cat’s collar helps as the noise bounces off an object. Its not perfect but it works.
Honestly, watching you two love animals as much as i do kinda makes me feel that humanity isnt as rotten to the core as i thought. Keep up the good work! 😜❣️
A few years ago, I had a dog, Brandy. He was a rescue dog and died of old age with us. About 5 years before he died, I took him to the vet because I thought he was having seizures, when driving in the car with us he would just fall off the back seat of the car! Turns out he was totally blind! Apart from falling in the car, we often thought he was just ignorant because when we took him to the park, we would call him and he would put his head up but not look at us or come. He never bumped into furniture or anything, we had no idea. They just adapt so well. We miss the little guy 🥺
I bet Sinder uses a for of sound (echo) location. He can use his hearing to tell when he’s getting close. Then uses his whiskers for the really up close navigation.
Awwww hes such a cutie.years ago my bf and I went for a walk and there was a stray cat someone dumped off at the barn and he followed us home.we turned around and took him back to the barn but he still followed.so we took him back again in the truck.later that night I was cooking dinner we heard scratching at the door,we opend it and it was him.so we kept him.we named him kabooka he looked just like your kitty.he was well trained.we had him for years but then he just disappeared on us.he loved being outside.we have alot of foxes and coyotes where we live so we dont know if he found a new home or became a meal to a wild animal.
thank goodness for your big hearts. Taking in the lovely wee Sinder, SO awful what happened. Do you think Clover knows/senses he is blind? Being a rescue she will have empathy. Thanks for the video.🥰
That's a good reason why cats have whiskers cuz that's another way they navigate they know if one of their whiskers get touched they're little too close to something but I see this in a lot of animals all different kinds of animals that are blind and they get around just fine just like a regular blind human being usually a blind animal will really cling to another animal in the house for support and direction it really helps that animal and usually the animals becoming bestest friends the blind one and the one that directs it around I wish my dog and my cat had this kind of relationship
He's adorable! Could have called him Matt or Mudrock, you know Daredevil's name, ha ha. We have 2 rescue cats, but Sinder is so amazing being able to function like he does. Apparently cats have better sense of smell than dogs even (so I've heard). All of your rescues are so cute! Thanks for saving them!🙏🏻❤
At the time I'm posting this, I'm currently fostering a kitten who was in a similar situation. His name is Bob, which stands for Bag Of Bones. Little guy was super emaciated, infection in both eyes, goopy nose, fly eggs all over his face. He did end up having to get his left eye removed, and he's actually still healing up from that. His right eye is a little cloudy, but I think he can still see a bit out of it. He also won't eat or drink on his own, though I have seen him do it once or twice. I think it's partially cause he still has a goopy nose, and partially because he knows I'll feed him XD I mix kitten food with water, let it soak, then mush it into a slurry with a little bit of rice porridge. He loves going outside and playing in the grass, he's a fearless little mostly blind gremlin XD Gonna see about getting the stitches removed from his eye socket in the next couple days, fingers crossed it's all healing up!
aww cute cat and great video!! hi chris and gabby.!! have a good evening. i hope all is well. say hi to everyone at everglade holiday park, everglades outpost and your animals for us.!!
I hope you do look at the fairly recent comments... I just saw the python injection video. Gabby (sp?) seemed to find ticks that were dead and wondered aloud if the antibiotics might be killing them? Maybe, but here's another possibility: The antibiotic cream appears thick and gloppy. Being greasy, it may be that the cream itself is clogging the spiracles of the tiny ticks, effectively suffocating them -- sure wouldn't take much grease as the obnoxious critters are so diminutive. Sincerely enjoy and learn from your videos. Best from New Mexico!
As a legally blind man the terms "look around" and "see you later" are perfectly acceptable. The other senses do become heightened. Thank you so much for your compassion towards animals.
how'd you type this?
You somt have to type you can talk into the mic or have help..why is everyone so suspicious on youtube?
I have some residual vision in my right eye. I see at 20/100 in that eye but do have blind spots also. Also I do have the option of using speech to text.
@@waterguy956 awesome man, adapting and thriving, respect that

You made a 51 year old man cry. I'm not even a cat person.
i truly teared up at the end when she picked Sinder up. he had this look of extreme serenity and happiness and it was the most wholesome and beautiful thing ive ever seen

I wouldn't have known he was eyeless. He navigates really well just by sound (?)
Maybe it’s threw vibrations sense when u lose one of ur 5 senses ur others are significantly higher almost superpower level
