Definitely go for the Pro version. I've had mixed results with it across different VW platforms. It's a powerful tool but it's not always as quick as you want it to be making it frustrating.
I have the pro for my Eurovan. It's a needed app/reader which I appreciate and yet find frustrating in use. After using Torque Pro for my Toyotas, OBDeleven is SO slow, it cycles back to the beginning often and - biggest issue - only works with a data connection. Needed it when visiting Yellowstone, but no coverage, so wouldn't even do the simplest thing. Really wish it had an offline option using stored data. Left me calling a tow truck unnecessarily. Will be buying a scan tool and/or the more expensive VAG reader that works anywhere. Also, only two extras for my vehicle, (temp and something else, I forget) that you can buy and they are buggy, do not continue to function. For me, it's been a mixed experience and I hope they keep working to improve.

That's really poor. Carly used to be a one time purchase as well and now they want a lot of money every year. It's a bit expensive for what it is. You're better off using a laptop with dealer diagnostic software
Pro is the only way to go. This is a very inexpensive and very powerful tool. For the price, it's the deal of the decade. I absolutely love mine! (hoping for some apps for the 2018 Tiguan.. soon : )
I've had mine since DAP offered them. It pretty much does 95% of what VCDS does, the only drawback I have is that I used my android phone, so the screen is a little smaller. Beyond that, I couldn't be happier. And for the difference in price, it's honestly a no brainer
There are some apps for the 2018 Tiguan. In the adaptations I was able to keep the driver heated seat on all the time and to set a timeout for the passenger and also to adjust the set temperatures. Output tests are fun too opening windows and stuff lol good times

normal version won`t even start up unless you will get or upgrade to pro version . The issue is error message "device not authorized" it means you can`t connect device with you app .

Ordered one and received it last Saturday.... after waiting 2 weeks. Popped it in and the battery voltage on the home screen was good but then 20 minutes later it was red, which was incorrect. Dealt with their shitty cust service about this and it was said that I have a “faulty” device and if I ship it back they will send me a new one once received. BUT I have to pay shipping ($35) or so since it’s in Lithuania... and also provide a descriptive letter so they know to send me a new device. BS company imo.

Edit: Still super happy, but the solution I wrote here for Start/Stop doesn't work. If anyone reading has found a way to disable it on the 2020 GTI, let me know? REALLY happy with the OBDEleven Pro. Protip for 2020 GTI owners: The included start/stop feature controls in the App aren't compatible with our car. Instead, you need to create an Adaptation on the Control Unit side of things. follow these steps. 1. Start the engine and connect OBDEleven app to your car. 2. Navigate to Garage > Your Car > Control Units 3. Select #19 "Gateway" 4. Select Adaptation. 5. Select "Start Stop Voltage" 6. Change voltage to 12.1 7. Save settings, exit app, cycle ignition off and back on. You'll notice that the crossed out A light comes on at stops automatically now and the feature is disabled. FIXED!

Hi all, I run diagnostics using the OBD11 pro. My 2017 Audi A4 cranks but does not start. When I run the report is shows that the error P019800 and P019600 one red. ECM/PCM power relay P068700 in Green. Can anyone suggest what the issue maybe and why it’s not starting
@Deutsche Auto Parts I took my S3 8V to another dealer and they fixed it with basic calibration and tests. Haldex works flawless now. My only guess that OBD11 might be messing with some parameters and put the car somehow into limb mode for AWD system. (C111307 - All Wheel Drive (AWD) mechanical malfunction) The symptoms matched with the purchase of OBD11. I bought it on 19th October and first time I couldn't do a LC on 23th October. It's either me that I made a wrong tweak via OBD11 (I have all the log and it looks OK btw) or playing with some codes (wiring logic, starting vibration etc) messed up my car. Any thoughts?

They are identical. You can't access live data and coding without purchasing pro access though. That said, if you're using apps and you don't know how to code you wouldn't need the pro version.

Pro does NOT come with 200 credits or a hook anymore. It's just standard unlocked. Buy a standard cheap and then buy pro via the app. Much cheaper.

you have to go in and tell the app what is your normal battery output and it will evaluate accordingly.
