I will actually explain a bit of your issues to you, and a lot of them stem from Snyder. I love this movie. But he also changed a lot about the comic which made these problems a thing. In the comic, only Manhattan has powers. Veidt is the smartest man on earth and has essentially used math and physical perfection to learn how to do everything, including the bullet catch. In the comics, they are not super strong or super agile like in the film. They just know how to fight. And Rorschach's mask back story was cut from the film. But it was taken from a dress that was worn by a victim of a murder that he took revenge for. It's not supernatural, it's ink within a latex fabric, that a designer made into a dress for the murdered girl, and he cut his mask from it to essentially honor her. "Superheroes" were just regular human beings that dressed up and fought crime before Manhattan, the comics make that very clear. Unfortunately, the movie does muddy the waters a bit.
