If this film doesn't make you cry, I don't trust you.
I rarely cry at films, but this film and Schindler's list always do.
If my day or week is going TOO good, I watch this one :P
come on my friends already hate cuz i didnt cry to this 🙃
@@zar_17c its ok, just a little humorous hyperbole 😁
I think movies affect people in different ways. I said in another movie comment that the boys in dumb and dumber cry during commercials. 🤣
us humans dont deserve this kind of loyalty, this story is so beautiful, Hachi waited for his master for 9 years
It was such a heartwarming story! 🤗❤️
I read the commentary on the reaction to this film. The guy was with his girlfriend in the city in Japan where this statue of Hachiko stands. He told her about his story. And she burst into tears there.
Dogs have a trait man sometimes have but dogs always have namely loyalty
I just watched this movie again 2 days ago. I love this movie about loyalty and love. I always cry during the movie.
It's my favorite Richard Gere movie. It's based on a true story. This man's dog waited for him at the train station. There is a statue of "Hachi". He waited for his master for 9 yrs. until he died. The dogs are so gorgeous. Richard Gere said that the female that they used is called the Merle
Streep of dogs🐕🐶. .
Oh no, this film will break Maureen. For anyone who has been to Tokyo's super busy Shibuya station, Hachiko statue still stands right outside the subway exit #8.
dubbed "the most popular meeting spot in Japan"
I want to go there! 🤗
It is a true story yes
And at the end when hachi has eyes closed and is remembering
He passed away 😢
Awww I was so happy to find out that this beautiful story was true! Thank you for watching ! 🤗
They have updated the statue. Now there is also a statue of the professor and Hachi reuniting.
That's so wonderful. Together again
It's not in the same place outside Shibuya Station.
That new statue of Hachi and his master are outside a university.
Hachi's remains were taken by a taxidermist and they are on display in a museum.
Hachi is a legend.
Wonderful reaction and commentary.
This is the saddest, most touching film, I’ve ever seen. Over the years, it’s never failed to make me cry.
Thank you! It was a beautiful true story too! ❤️🥲
In 2015, a bronze statue of Professor Ueno reuniting with Hachiko was created.
That is so special! I hope to one day visit it!🤗
I thought i was though, ill never cry but watching this movie i weep like baby
Just couldn't be helped! It was such a sweet and heartbreaking tale!🥲
This movie is so heartbreaking yet such a beautiful story of loyalty.
I was so happy to learn that this beautiful story was true! 🤗
it's not even funny how many times i've come across this movie and how it makes me cry every time.
Me too
I grew up in Woonsocket Rhode Island, about 3 or 4 streets away from the train station used in this movie. My grandparents on mh dad's side lived in a high rise on the other side of the nearby bridge, right near the Church I bring my mom to every Sunday, and grew up in. THE WOONSOCKET CALL is indeed a real newspaper, that published twice a day when zi was a kid. You bet thus movie was a big deal to us when it was released
Thank you for this!
Between this movie and Black Beauty, the original warner brother's version 1994 can still make me cry.
They actually melted down the original Bronze statue of Hachi during the second world War to aid in Japan's war effort.
The statue was remade and replaced in 1947.
The Hachiko Shrine right beside the scramble-crossing just outside Shibuya Staion is the most popular meeting place in Tokyo.
Hachi never gails to make me cry. And he doesn't have to act much.. Oh my heart💔💔💔
Me too! I thought the dog(s) were amazing actors! So Sweet! 🥲
I've bought the "Hachi" dvd at
Best Buy store. I gave one to my friend, who loves the movie and to the library. I couldn't believe how cheap it was. I used to check out the cheaper dvds.
When I first saw this film, I ugly cried So hard. It almost killed me. 😭😭This was real love.
After seeing "papa don't go" scene of Patriot, i came here to cry little more :) Gets me every time, like the other one i mentioned.
I can't do these reaction videos it makes me too sad. I have it on VHS. It's one I treasure most
I understand. 😂
My daughter saw this movie and she was so choked up with tears she had a asthma attack. Akitas are extremely loyal to those they love. It is movie that made a grown man cry.
This is a true story that really happened in Japan.
There is still a bronze statue of Hachi at shibuya Station
I was so happy to learn that this sweet story was true! Thank you for watching with me and I hope to one day visit the statue! 😊
My wife and I visited some friends and their kids were watching this film. I had seen it a couple of years earlier and I knew what was coming at the end. I knew I wouldn't be able to hold it together so I made up an excuse to leave until the film was done.
Aww It was just too touching of a story!! The original Hachi is 100 years old this year! 🥲❤️
Why my tears always run down again and again
Gracias! 🤗
They named the train line Ueno used to take the "Hachiko line" and recently the university made a statue of Ueno and Havhiko playing with each other.
Greyfriars Bobby: The True Story of a Dog movie 1961, set in Scotland in 1865. The dog guarded his masters grave for 14 years.
Aw hugs her coming back 10 yrs seeing him still waiting gets me all the time.
It sure got me too! 🥲
I've watched this movie once in my life. Once and NEVER AGAIN. I was in a fetal position bawling for a week afterwards. And now I'm bawling my eyes out again just watching this video. I'm a mess!
Lol I was too!! Thank you for watching and crying with me! 🥲❤️
Me too :(
Sometimes, its good to cry
This is a movie you can watch 100 times and he makes you cry 100 times! It doesnt stopp me watching again and again......and.....
Every time! 🥲
Me too.
The only movie that caused me to openly weep 😅
Me too, but not the only one!! 🥲
Lovely reaction….
Born 100 years ago this year.
🤟✌️👍
Yes, I read that too! I would love to go to Japan to see his statue! 🤗
Saludos desde Perú 🇵🇪
I can’t ever watch this movie again. It literally rips me inside. I’m a sobbing mess right now
It did that to me too! Hachi was just too sweet and loyal! 🤗
About 10-12 years ago my mother told me the story of HACHIKO - she had previously seen the Japanese original and then the US remake. I saw the US version first, but I also wanted to know what the original was like and I had to do some searching. Conclusion: Normally a remake usually loses out to the original for me, but here it's the other way around. The original seems a bit harder on the one hand, but more playful on the other. .... I only need to hear the first notes of the music and tears are already overflowing. Animals are simply better people.
FYI, in 2015, Japan made statue of Hachi reuniting with his master with full of Joy. They are eternally together now.
Yes, I did learn that; it must be a popular destination to visit by locals and tourists! Thank you for watching this beautiful movie with me!🤗
Good reaction,Thanks
Thank you for watching with me! 🤗
This was a beautiful reaction to a beautiful film. Thank you.
Thank you for watching! It was such a beautiful story. 🤗

_Very Underrated film_
Thank you and welcome to the channel! 😊
I watched this one night, and the next day my hound dog suddenly died.
Oh how sad! Sorry for your loss! Thank you for watching this sweet heartbreaking movie with me! 🤗
I'm so sorry for your loss. It was a coincentence?
24:29 this part😢
I want to one day visit the statue! 🤗
@@ScreenMaureen Me too I guess, by the way, Hi Im a Brazilian Girl named Letícia 🍀✨ Nice to meet you Mrs Lady ✨🌟
Here's Hachi's story, with more pictures and background. ua-cam.com/video/nCXJsckvyZA/v-deo.html
Thank you for sending me that video; I wonder if all Akita dog's would be that loyal? I guess all dogs are loyal, too sweet! Thank you for watching with me! 🤗
@@ScreenMaureen There are stories of other dogs loyal like this. I think if there is a real bond, with their special human, definitely!
The reason his wife doesn't like dogs is she was attacked by a dog as a child. That's the real professor Ueno's wife.
Please I need your reacction with Interstellar.
He wasn't sent from Japan the story and s of a Japanese man and his dog
don t watch this film it will break your heart
I don't even like to see people react to this movie because it's so 😭
It is such a sweet story! The original Hachi is 100 years old this year! 🤗
