They were probably watery because you brought them home and they got melted. You have to drink them pretty quickly after ordering them like a slushie or they'll get melted.

When I get them from Starbucks they are usually always watery but when I was a Barista in WA the frappes from coffee stands were super thick most of the time (depending on the barista) and just like milkshakes. I now live in CA and miss them. I do settle for Starbucks ones from time to time though.

I'm a barista and I can tell you that they made the s'mores frappe wrong 😂 It goes : whipped cream, chocolate, frappe, whip cream, graham crackers.. Also whoever made your Midnight Mocha needs to learn how to make it look nicer... its not that hard 😂 😂

I'm a barista too, and yeah they made the s'mores frappe wrong but the only reason the midnight mint mocha looks bad is because (you probably know this) the frappe begins to separate after its left out for a while (It happens to me all the time when I bring frappes home) and I'm guessing it separated because of her travel time bringing the frappe home

Double blended sounds like even finer ice, which sounds thinner to me....even less like a milkshake. Can you explain?
as a starbucks barista I think i'd disagree on this one. Typically double-blended yields a smoother consistency. I think you're just waiting a bit too long to drink them. A frap is made to be had right away and letting them sit WILL absolutely make them watery bc the ice in the drink melts.

the consistency is definitely more watery rather than being milkshake-like but I think they are most similar to the consistency of slushies when you first get them fresh

I love the vanilla bean frappe, Java chip frappe and for the seasons my fave is the peppermint mocha frappe for Christmas and the salted Caramell frappe for thanksgiving! I only drink the frappes.

I've gotten thick, milkshake-like Fraps before. But 80% of the time the barista doesn't know what they are doing because starbucks hires young, but inexperienced "fresh faces".
I order it with heavy cream instead of milk to get a thicker consistency.
And it makes it takes more like a milkshake =)
