honestly, i think that colleen's wedding is the sweetest, most perfect wedding i have ever seen. her whole family is so funny and kind and perfect and i want my wedding to be exactly like this. i always thought i would like a big, fancy wedding, but now i think a simple one with just close friends and family would be so much more meaningful. and did i mention that colleen and erik are so cute together??!! 😍😍❤❤

I think of her journey, from love to shattering heartbreak now to completely fulfilled happiness with a loving husband and a beautiful son. I’m someone who glorifies my wedding (I blame it on watching Twilight when I was young) but this… I love the pure chaos and simplicity of this, like it really shows just how in the moment this family is and how carefree they are, this is SO beautiful wow :’)
In some ways this is just like the twilight wedding though because it’s at home and surrounded by family. The twilight wedding also gave 8 year old me super high expectations lol but I cried watching this, this wedding was so simple and so beautiful and Colleen looked so incredible and her and Eric look so in love and it’s the cutest most wholesome wedding ever.
So this morning I broke down as my wedding is on the verge of being cancelled because of covid-19 and this has really made my heart feel better. So glad you shared this. I’m so lucky to love and be loved and that’s all that matters 💗

This was so special. As someone who had a backyard wedding with a potluck I love this so much. Hubby and I have been together for 21 years, married 16 years and 4 kids later we’re still very happily married.
In 9 1/2 years I'll be able to say the same thing. Currently married for 6 1/2 years, together 11 1/2 years. We only have one smart, funny, sweet, beautiful 5 year old daughter and a baby in heaven. Many more happy, healthy years to you and your family.

I got married under the arch between the living room and dining room of my parents’ house.
I was five months pregnant. We were engaged already and planning a wedding before I found out I was pregnant.
We had a small family wedding and it was so special. Some of the pictures and memories make me laugh while the others are so sentimental.
For all the non-traditional and traditional brides and grooms, hurray! It’s all about the love!

I got Married in the back yard of my husband’s childhood home and it was the most magical feeling really the joining of our souls and a bond of our love . I was also pregnant a lil over 7 month pregnant and it was so special and you really don’t need a big huge expensive stressful wedding. It’s all about the love baby ❤️👑🦋

My husband and I got married last weekend (April 25) in the middle of all of this crazy, in our backyard. We had only our parents and siblings there, and then all of our friends drove by our front yard to say hi to us. Beautiful, intimate, and so much fun! 💕 Just as incredible as any other wedding.

I got married in my Dad’s backyard. There were only like 10 people there. It was perfect.
alphabrenna my sister got married in my grandmas living room and had the reception in the backyard. We somehow packed 40 people in that house. It was so fun though and exactly what they wanted!

My parents got married in my grandmother’s backyard. She spent ages gardening and creating the most beautiful backdrop. They wanted a church, but my dad’s family was uncomfortable with that (they’re Jewish). It was a fairly large wedding, but it’s cool to drive by that old house and see the house.

Best wedding ever! Best memories ever! These kids will cherish these for the rest of their lives. My wedding day was...oh man, it was insane but good but insane. My hubby and I had our renewal and it was fun and crazy! Both times it was perfect.

Okay this actually made me feel so much better. My wedding is supposed to be August 1st this year and we are unsure if we are going to be able to actually have our big celebration, which really wont be that big anyways, and may just end up having to get married at the courthouse or just have something very small with our immediate families and postpone our big celebration until maybe next year. Seeing this made me feel better that it isnt about the celebration and yeah having to replan that whole thing would be stressful but we will still be able to be married and that is what matters not the big celebration. We can do that later. So this really helped me. Thank you.

@@samanthadenbow-moreaux2287 depends on your location too. I'm in Wisconsin and we have been behind the USA's overall curve for the virus so we could be shut down longer than some other places. Hoping that isnt the case and we can still have our special day but we will have to see how things go over the next month or so. Trying to stay positive though that it will work out.

@@samanthadenbow-moreaux2287 in my opinion our governor has been handling this well too we just happened to start getting the virus here later which is what put us behind other places now. Both our states seem to be doing really well with limiting travel and social distancing so hopefully we will both be fine! Good luck to you as well with your wedding. I got married in a pavilion by a beach that I rented for $30 wearing a white sundress I bought on a clearance rack. My hair was done for free by a friend. My invitations were a gift from my cousin who does graphic design. My photos and guest book (a wooden sign everyone signed) were gifts from my uncle. The food was a bbq and a gift from another uncle and aunt. The most expensive things were the flowers and I paid for a hotel for my pastor friend to come from far away so he could officiate. It was super chill there was no head tables or dancing. I sat with friends and ate a veggie burger. So many people told me that it was the best wedding they had been too and they really enjoyed themselves.
