How about increasing Social Disability checks like the have been for 5 months. Yes SSI deserves a raise, as well as straight Social Security checks. This is an abomination for and towards their SS CHECKS, SSDI checks, and VA benefits. Instead they make giving money to the citizens to foreign countries. Take care of the USA then worry about the people from non citizens FIRST! AND INCREDIABITY SOON!

Why, when they show how much you paid into social security to figure out your monthly amount, they never include your employers matching funds over the years?
Also, after you successfully file for social security benefits online, will there be any effort by the administration to contact you? Someone told me to expect a letter about a mandatory health insurance deduction taken out of your social security - is that true?
If you read your Social Security statement, you will see your employers' contributions. Bottom of left column on page 2. If you are over 65, your Medicare Part B premium will be deducted from your benefit.

Amen. One major bad thing that happens to some Americans in their lives is on their job accidents,not their fault. Broken knee, broken neck, takes a long time to recuperate before they can go back to work and lots of times to lesser paying jobs. Then at retirement age, Screwed on benefits for issued work and lower income. Sorry, pathetic politicians do nothing for millions injured on their jobs and they receive their Benefits (unbeleavably good for then)

I wanna know where are the Social Security payments that we widows and widowers aren’t receiving of our late spouses. We aren’t able to receive both benefits. We can’t even get half of their benefits, and we were married to them.
The part that needs updated. Is the ssi program. Its still in the 1972. Limits. This part needs to be updated so bad. We are only allowed 2000. Period. Or we loose it if we get even one dollar. And its taken away. Unless they update the ssi. Program. To todays time.

Hi David, I’m worried about my Social Security disability SSDI and my death benefits from my family members that were in the Air Force. My mom was in the Air Force and my dad was in the Marines. Back in the Vietnam war he was the devil dog. Anyways like I’m scared because I don’t want to have to go back to work even though I’m disabled I think the worst president we had was George W Bush because when he wanted to go to war, he took money out of the trust fund from Social Security trust fund, and he never paid back to the dollars that he stole. It wasn’t borrow. He stole the money because he never paid back that money and that’s why we’re in big debt. I don’t know why. He’s getting away with this you can check it out type it in George Bush took that money just to go to war with Iraq from 911 2001 that is so unfair

Sad this is not going to change. Congress basically as a group wants to cut the program. No one is bringing this to the floor for a vote and there is not enough votes to pass it.
I also want to see the marriage penalty done away with for everyone on Social Security. You should not be penalized financially just because you want to get married. If a man and wonan who are both drawing Social Security want to get married, they should continue to draw the same amount of pay without being penalized. They can live together in sin and draw the same pay, but when they want to do the right thing and get married they are penalized. Nowhere else in the world, to my knowledge, does this stupidity take place.
