- Hello and welcome to Badger Workshop. It was about time I sorted out my hammers so I made a rack for them.

"I then think it's a good idea to do exactly the same thing on the other end." A little self-deprecating humor is always good for the soul. 😁
Nice build idea. Just one hint, when wedging, align the wedge cross grain of the brackets. When you have it inline, there is a possibility of splitting the wood brackets
BEST HAMMER RACK EVER!!!! Saw your vid and made one straight away!!! Now I am making another. Cheap - Easy - Functional - Space saving. You can identify the hammers at a glance. Best thing is, it is so space eficient! BRILLIANT!
Loving the way you attached the dowels. Your workshop is definitely getting more organised!
Thanks Dave. It is slowly getting there
Can’t beat a shop project.
Lots more to come
Badger Workshop good man.
At least you will be able to find a hammer when you need one now....
I like you quick organization builds, and the way you execute them.
Yes its great that they now have a home
Great quick job and looks good thanks for sharing ☕☕☕👍👍👍👍
Thanks Brian
I was thinking this afternoon about making one of these. You've given me some good ideas. Thanks.
Very nice. This is how i am going to build mine. Thanks!
I totally need this. Thanks for the idea.
Decent job there mate looks good
Thank you
Another great build/ video, Matt. I spotted the gotcha about half a second before...for me that's good 😉 usually it's 30 seconds after I've got it clamped up and square 😏
I have had a few projects that have ended up on the fire wood pile
Excellent!!! Great vid and nice little organisation project 😎
Thanks Clive
Top banana. I'm off to make one exactly the same. Great design and helpful video. Thanks Matt.
Lovely job again Matt , cheers
Thank you
Great project Matt and very useful !
Thanks Billy
"Just needs a little bit of persuasion" and reaches for the biggest hammer available 😁Are you sure you weren't a plumber in a previous life? Love the project, simple and effective.
Thanks Robert. I don't think so as I hate plumbing
Great bit of useful storage, and nice to see some finish going on it! Doesn't take much effort but it makes a big difference in helping keep workshop stuff from getting grubby so I'm a big fan of taking the extra time myself.
One quick thing if I may, did a search and I don't think anyone else has mentioned the orientation of the wedges. They should go in at right angles to the grain of the housing piece, otherwise the wedging action risks splitting it.
Nice and simple build. This looks like a very handy rack my friend! well done!
Thank you. I do feel a little more organised
Nice workshop project Matt.
Thank you
Nice job Matt and there's room for additions 👍 😊
Thank you. Always room for more tools
👍 😊
Nice job! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Thank you
Looks like you getting a HANDLE on the shop organisation
Lol good handle reference
At least you did not tell me I had a nice rack
I'm sure I've commented on your nice rack before Matt
Yours, artwork. Mine, rough as a bears bum! May have to have a rethink! Cheers Matt👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
On this channel, shouldn't that be "rough as badger's bum!"??.... you can get a sticker for that 😉
Yes you can indeed
@@robinaveling5956 already got mine!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
If it works then that's all you need
Alan Mullock yup, Matt kindly place a sticker in my hand @ MC19
I should really make one of these
Nice simple build, think you have a hammer addiction
Thanks Ray. Just one of many tool addictions
At the beginning i thought ok a small rack for hammer instead of that , i saw a railway of hammers . Thats a lot of hammers !!!!!!!! but placed nicely .!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you. I need them all
Nice build Matt. But seriously the bandsaw rocking about like that cutting the dowels was giving me palpitations 😂 Needs some weight at the bottom.
Its not going anywhere
Love your use of broom handles again! One day you should make a broom and use some exotic dowel! Lol
I have two rolling mills and a bench shear that I need to mount to a table like yours, did do all your tools have a base that fits the holes on the table top?! What a great idea; I don't suppose you filmed it?
I really need to sort out my hammers. The trouble is I use them, then put them down and they're never seen again!
Haha that is the problem
That's why you need a lot of hammers :)
Another great little vid there Matt ;) BTW where do you get those little brass screw cups from ?
Thanks Martin. They come from Toolstation
www.toolstation.com/screw-cup-socket-inset-knurled/p30281
Hi Matt, why two bandsaws?
So I can have different blades on each
Nice job but better if hammers were ranged in ascending order of handle length.😂
They are sorted by type
Your wobbly bandsaw... my OCD. Peace.
Nowt wrong with a bit of scaffold board Matt ,take it from a ex scaffolder.
You mush have a lot of old boards to use
I'm left wondering what is wrong with me. I clearly don't have enough hammers!!
Can never have enough
How many hammers???!!!
Do you think there’s a word for someone addicted to hammers....😉?
It’s not an addiction. I can stop any time I want
@@Badgerworkshop lol brilliant
YES YOU HAVE DEFINITELY GOT TOO MANY HAMMERS
Aidan Hodgson impossible. My little shop has around 150 hammers 😀
You can never have enough
Too slow
