  • Hello and welcome to Badger Workshop. It was about time I sorted out my hammers so I made a rack for them.

"I then think it's a good idea to do exactly the same thing on the other end." A little self-deprecating humor is always good for the soul. 😁

Nice build idea. Just one hint, when wedging, align the wedge cross grain of the brackets. When you have it inline, there is a possibility of splitting the wood brackets

BEST HAMMER RACK EVER!!!! Saw your vid and made one straight away!!! Now I am making another. Cheap - Easy - Functional - Space saving. You can identify the hammers at a glance. Best thing is, it is so space eficient! BRILLIANT!

I like you quick organization builds, and the way you execute them.

Another great build/ video, Matt. I spotted the gotcha about half a second before...for me that's good 😉 usually it's 30 seconds after I've got it clamped up and square 😏

Great bit of useful storage, and nice to see some finish going on it! Doesn't take much effort but it makes a big difference in helping keep workshop stuff from getting grubby so I'm a big fan of taking the extra time myself.
One quick thing if I may, did a search and I don't think anyone else has mentioned the orientation of the wedges. They should go in at right angles to the grain of the housing piece, otherwise the wedging action risks splitting it.

I have two rolling mills and a bench shear that I need to mount to a table like yours, did do all your tools have a base that fits the holes on the table top?! What a great idea; I don't suppose you filmed it?
