People don't listen when you tell them that you don't want something. It's my life experience. Better to ignore them in a cultural way and keep living your life. Maybe that's what she means. Especially if they want her to join something worse or toxic... Not everyone is attracted to gold or glitter at any cost. Some people are attracted to values at any cost. 😊👍
