Rain, high winds, wet roads, or too much work to do prevented me for going for a ride this week. Sunday and Monday's weather is favorable, after that, more rain. The battery is charged up, and I've added a mount for my Garmin GPS. It has a fresh battery too, The seat problem is resolved, and I'm itching to go again. I've already planned out a new route to explore. Both my knees are bad, so the only ebikes I can mount are step through. Next on my list of upgrades are hydraulic brakes. They can be purchased for about $40 on Amazon, so aren't a big expense, nor difficult for those who are mechanically skilled.

I would hope opinions would change with more information and knowledge. I like the fact that you're not wedded to one thing only and that you're open to looking at a bunch of factors and options. It's what keeps our brains young!

I ended up realizing e-bikes are not my favorite personal electric vehicle, so I’m pretty happy I went with a cheaper electric-bike (Engwe EP-2 Pro). It’s fine and I ride it sometimes, but EUCs are more fun and more practical for me. The Engwe folds, so I can bring it places, but it’s still way less portable than an EUC. I haven’t brought the ebike in my van except a couple times, it’s a significant chore. I agree, people will end up refining what they like best over time.

Hey Russ, ebikes have evolved and improved significantly over the past 4 years, bigger batteries/motors, increased quality, range and speed, AWD, full suspension, nicer displays etc. I'm glad your opinions evolve and adapt over time based on those changes, otherwise we become obsolete. Rad Power Bikes has stepped it up with their new Radster models along with Euphree, looking forward to your reviews on those ebikes and better weather!

Definitely, ebikes have improved over the years. We now get bigger batteries for longer range for the same price. We also now get hydraulic brakes and full suspension too for the same price as years ago. It's amazing how we might have wanted some features in the past but could not afford them but now they come standard on some bike models! Performance has improved too.

@@RussIsRight Agreed 100%. The 20" Eahora Juliet II, $2,299 w/$300 off coupon, has 1,000W motor w massive 52V 60ah battery and full suspension. That's a lot of ebike for the $$$. Many other companies are stepping up their features as standard equipment including offering optional second batteries w/battery blenders. Hoping you get to review these new and exciting ebikes into the future!

This is in reference to purchasing an E-bike. I got stuck in that hole. I have a new XPeak with 11 miles on it. I can’t ride it. It’s a step thru and not wide enough between the seat and handle bar post. 15” . I thought I could ride it but not able to ride it. I installed several upgrades unfortunately and not able to ride it. 5.6” with an inseam of 28. Not enough space between the seat and handle bar post. I loved the bike and purchased it for comfort. I have an XP3.0 and love it and ride it as much as I can. I will probably give away my XPeak, White. Not sure yet and I’m glad you had that video regarding purchasing e-bikes and be sure to size them before you buy one. No redemption.

Read about the new Euphree bikes and it sounds like you could do an entire video on the innovations on these bikes without taking it out on the beautiful streets of the northwest suburbs of Chicago.

Not related to this video, but did you mention on one of your more recent videos that one of your new favorite saddles, was one from the Electric Bike Co.? If so which one, the regular or XL One?

Hi Russ. Always enjoy your content. I have a question that has nothing to do with e-bikes. Are the photos you use as background on your green screen pictures you took? They’re all beautiful.

Today's video's photo was taken by me. It was from my first trip to Alaska back in 2015. The other photos used are "stock" royalty-free photos from a variety of royalty-free photo websites.

Re:Rad Rover 5/Unit Power Pack battery....Aye know this is hind-sight but would it have been possible to replace the "defective" BMS board w/2d/better motherboard? Like i said, it's akin to looking in the rear-view mirror!--lol...Stay Safe, Ride Safer...Aloha from Hawaii
